We are very sorry to hear that the stay in our apartment did not meet expectations. We take all feedback seriously and would like to address the points mentioned: It is true that, due to a misunderstanding with our cleaning agency, the apartment was not cleaned before the guest’s arrival. This was of course an unfortunate situation that should not have happened. As soon as we became aware of the issue, we immediately contacted both the guest and the cleaning agency, and the cleaning fee was refunded right away. The cleaning was done the day after with the guest’s approval. When cleaning is made, all beds are always covered by mattress protectors. There are several options of pillows of good quality available in the apartment. Regarding the ant issue, we have found no evidence that the situation was as severe as described in this review. It is true that some ants may appear if food is left on the floor or on the table, but they disappear quickly when surfaces are kept clean. This is a very common occurrence in Spain, and these ants do not bite. As for the apartment rules, our community guidelines—always sent to guests well in advance of check-in—clearly state that noise levels should be kept low and that high heels should be avoided. It is also clearly mentioned in our listing that Bahia Playa is a residential complex and that community rules must be respected. Regarding the TV channels, there is no child lock on any of them. However, not all channels are included in our subscription, which is also something we have not promised. There are absolutely no restrictions on the use of the air conditioning. We only ask guests not to keep it running while the balcony doors are open, which we believe is just common sense. We are sorry to hear that the guest found us “unhelpful,” although from our perspective, we responded as promptly and politely as possible. The so called, ant-problem was brought to our knowledge after the guest arrived at home. We investigated this twice and recorded a video showing no unusual occurrence of ants.

Dear Celia! Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear that our apartment wasn't up to your expectations. Actually it was totally refurbished just a coupel of years ago so we don't really understand your impression. We don't keep any of our private cosmetics in the bathroom, but sometimes previous guests leave stuff such as shampoo etc, and we prefer to leave ti ti be used rather than through away. It is correct that one drawer in the bathroom is broken, it will be fixed shortly, as well as the shower, If you had let us know that about the towles, we could have replaced them immediatley. The fee for cleaning, includes final cleaning only, not daily cleaning and bedding. Best Regards, Kristin & Stefan
