Spectacular View

The beginning was a little rocky with hair found throughout on the bedding and fridge. Although it was immediately corrected. The place overall was spacious with spectacular views overlooking pools and ability to see across to other properties near beach. Would rent again.

Food was meh, the rest was awesome

Restaurant was out of half the things we tried ordering and service was mediocre. Food and drinks we could get were decent but nothing I would go back for. Everything else outside of the restaurant was amazing. I would definitely visit again as all of the other amenities were awesome.

Great service, and definitely worth the stay!

We had easy process to check in, parking and uploading was great. When we arrived, the login to Wi-Fi wasn’t connected so guest services responded quickly and next morning tech service came out to fixed it. We loved how prompt they were with their services, and everyone was so friendly! We will be back, and let our friends know. With us visiting in March, weather was still cool so didn’t get to enjoy the beach, but glad they had a heated pool for the kids, and that made our little ones trip,more enjoyable!

Beautiful Unit, huge property

I loved the unit- it feels like a huge hotel room rather than a condo. There is a lot to do on the property and it feels kind of chaotic when you are making your way to the unit but once you get in, you can literally leave the world behind. The balcony is EVERYTHING and bedrooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. The check in process was a little complicated (in comparison with a regular drop box etc.) but you only have to worry about that the first time and then you're good. There's an app with the management company which was helpful and I really didn't have to talk to anyone issues, etc.

Mid-level Nightmare

We were on the 6th floor, farthest from the parking garage. After waiting in line for a somewhat chaotic check in, and after a long wait at the elevators, we arrived at the unit. The card reader would not work. The temperature in the hall and elevator was sweltering. When I went back to the checkin area, there were even longer lines than the first time. After several minutes of waiting in line, I got the clerk’s attention and told her the key cards didn’t work. She LITERALLY shrugged, mouthed “Sorry,” and said, “Next in line.” I finally got the cards rekeyed and ran up six flights of stairs. The elevators were jammed with people waiting, and my hubby, a recent recipient of a quad bypass, was stuck in the hot hallway. The key cards STILL didn’t work! Security eventually came up and let us in. They said the key reader needed a new battery, but they couldn’t do it, because I reserved the unit through VRBO! I literally spent the next three hours or so on the phone trying to get someone to get in touch with the owner to approve the repair. When the repair person finally showed up the next day, he said the card reader was fine. The key cards were screwed up. To cap off the trip, the credit card information I used on VRBO was stolen. VRBO was the only place I used that card in literally years. Also, the beach area allocated to the resort was minuscule and literally packed like an Indian rail car.

We will follow up with our Front Desk team and the Palms of Destin's Security Team, as there should not have been any challenges with booking through Vrbo and the battery was in good health when our team came a few hours after the lock issue was reported to the Front Desk. Our shuttle does make two beach access stops - June White Decker public beach access and Henderson Beach State Park, as we do not have dedicated or private beach access.
