The Ritz Carlton has soooo much Sargassum right now, it is really bad this year. When we checked in they put us in the very end of the Lily building, which was right next to the spot where they collect all of the sargassum and it gets rotten. They have barriers out in the water that direct it all there, and they have heavy equipment scooping it out every day. We appreciated how hard they were working to remove it, but the smell was so bad we could not go outside the unit and could even smell it inside. We also had to listen to the equipment and super loud local parties at beach across the street. Once we walked through the property we found the smell wasn’t bad in the other half of the residences or the hotel, so we asked to be moved. They moved us to the Iris building The room was not as nice but at least we could sit on our patio or walk outside without the smell. This was a pain because we had to repack and move everything. I have no idea why they would expect anyone to stay next to rotting sargassum. We didn’t spend much time at the Ritz because of all the seaweed. The hotel side was more crowded but nicer. The food was very good, but the service was slow. We did a private boat to the BVI one day and Lady Lindsay to St. John which were great and convenient going from Ritz beach. We spent a fortune on taxis to go places, 8 pp one way minimum to go 5 min away. I know they can’t help the seaweed, but be wary this time of year. Our room was clean and spacious.

Special in every way

We’ve traveled a lot, we’ve stayed in many beautiful islands in beautiful villas and hotels and condos. At our seasoned age looool Nothing beats the beauty, comfort, amenities and convenience of the ritz Carelton residence in st Thomas, we also love that it’s still the USA. All was perfect until RC charged things to my credit card I did not recognize or authorize. Caused me to cancel the card and we left 8?days early . Manager had no answers. !!

Amazing Vacation

St. Thomas is so beautiful and Staying at the Ritz Carlton is as good as it gets. The residences condo is perfect for a family with separate rooms and a kitchen when needed, but with all the restaurants on property you don’t need to cook ;). Service and amenities was perfect for a truly fun & relaxing vacation.

Fantastic vacation destination!

Our 3 BR residence was immaculate and well-appointed. The beds were extremely comfortable. The view of the ocean was spectacular and serene. The grounds were meticulously manicured with exquisite greenery, flowers, and walking paths. The beach was large and beautiful with an array of comfortable lounge chairs. Darnelle from the Ritz reached out to us before arriving and answered all of our questions. It was a pleasure interacting with her. Ken was a great host. He provided us with inside information and recommendations to make our stay more enjoyable and he was quick to respond. Finally, the entire staff at the Club is exceptional. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly, kind, and made us feel welcome. I bought a t-shirt with the words, "Living the Dream" on it. This sums it up perfectly. My family fell in love with the Ritz Club St. Thomas and shared moments of joy that will last a lifetime.

Awesome Vacation

This was our third stay at the Ritz but first on the residence side. We were not disappointed. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything with the room was top notch. We were very impressed with the beauty of the grounds, not only at the pool but everywhere we walked. Ken made sure we knew everything we needed to know before we got there. We’ll be back.

Awesome Place, Can't Recommend More Highly

Property was awesome and the place was even better. So glad we opted to stay at the Ritz club over the Ritz hotel. Same property, but (at least for our larger group) was just a much better experience. Being able to make breakfast and lunch in the room just felt so much better and relaxing for a bit in between activities indoors didn't mean sitting in just a room with a bed. The pools at Club portion were also quite a bit less crowded, though we went in the pools at both places it was a better home base.

Wonderful family vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at the ritz Carlton club St. Thomas! The property was beautiful and our room was steps from the beach. We loved relaxing on our balcony every evening. Everything was easy and relaxing and our kids had a ball they didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend taking advantage of the grocery delivery it was great to arrive to a stocked kitchen. Overall our stay was great we would love to return!

Perfect property for family vacation. If I had to complain it would be that the restaurants ear the residences could be open for breakfast but otherwise it was one of our best vacations ever. Ken was super helpful and the place was huge and very clean. The service was amazing.

Beautiful views. Amazing Property Manager Ken: could not have been more prepared thanks to him!! So serene. Everything except scoring hotel dinner reservations was perfect! Family Vacation
