Comfortable Stay

The property us in a great location. The hosts are easy to communicate with. It's great if you have dogs. Very clean and comfortable as well. Overall great place!

Our stay at Abby Station was very relaxing. Close to the beach but also feeling secluded. A big thanks the Matt and Debra for making our suns first time at the beach safe and enjoyable. It felt like a home away from home. We hope to be back soon.

Sweet Spot

We were looking for a last-minute getaway near North Topsail Beach, and The Station fit our needs perfectly. It was clean, inviting and had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and were sad to head home.

Love the Abbey!

We love staying here! This is our third year staying with Matt & Debra and our first year staying in the Station. My husband in particular had been eyeing the Station since our first stay due to the fire engine parked outside. We finally moved from the Safari (which is also spectacular!) to the Station and loved it! Its wonderful to have a washer & dryer in the unit having a toddler along with us, and Matt & Debra always go above and beyond to accommodate our entire family - pups included. Looking forward to next year!

Wonderful

Matt's place was beautiful! We were only 20 minutes from family staying at the beach. It was nice to come back to peace and quiet at the end of the day!! Everything was wonderful! Would definitely stay there again!

Pleasant & Relaxing

We had a very relaxing stay with our large dog at this house while visiting our Marine at camp Geiger. The house and property were as advertised. I would definitely recommend this home. Matt was great to work with.

Family vacation 2023

This house was perfect for our summer family vacation. We couldn’t get over how cutely decorated it was. The house was so close to everything! Only 11 minutes from the beach entrances and tasty restaurants! Low tide steak house is a for sure a must try. Matt was super nice and helped any time we needed anything. Thank you so much for making our stay great!

Great Spot!

Short drive to the beach! We were a little upset when there wasn’t a spot in the listing saying there was a pet fee but then later found out there was one. The air conditioner was a little whack however the owner said they were going to fix this! It was very clean and has a lovely kitchen set up. We loved the beach here and will be back to the area!

Short and Suite

We had a quick overnight stay while visiting Camp Geiger. Ther unit was clean and comfortable. Matt was very generous with amenities. Listing indicated TV. There was no TV but there was equipment to project from a laptop. Short drive to the beach as well. Would recommend to others. Thanks.

Second time around

Our second time visiting and just as last time we had a wonderful stay. We appreciate the fly bags around the wooded area which helped keep the bugs at bay. We remember that being a minor issue especially at night last time with letting the dog out but no issues at all this time. We appreciate the high speed internet and amenities especially in the laundry room. Love the eco-friendliness of things. Again would recommend an extra ac unit in the back rooms or an extra standing fan to help keep things cool but we understand! We look forward to coming back again next year!

Sweet Southern Charm in the woods

My husband and 3 year old very much enjoyed our two day stay at The Station. Matt is easy to communicate with. The home is warm and friendly. Our 3 year old LOVED the Fire Truck. We decided to come a few days early while we waited for our Beach House and we agree we hope to do this every year! The house is charming and all amenities are provided with linens and towel. The extra doggy waste bags and doggy towels were appreciated! We loved the privacy but also close enough to grab food to go and the Dollar General is close enough for any last minute grabs. The back rooms got a tad warm and the hot water in both showers were just a tad tricky but overall we loved it and we will be back!

They are serious when they say dog friendly!

From the moment we booked, Matt was 1 step ahead of me. He asked about our dogs (size and friendliness), sent us things to do in the area with dogs, and was very prompt with any questions I had. The rental itself was awesome. We were greeted with a dog themed wreath, found 2 large dog beds, a cabine first aid kit and baggies for outside. He even thought to have a flashlight by the door for late night potty breaks. What really impressed me was the air purifier and the extension cord blocks in each room with USB capabilities. The only thing that I think could be improved was the air circulation to the bedrooms. Maybe a portable oscillating fan? Other than that, it was amazing. We will definitely look to book again if we come back to the area.

Great location, Adorable place, Sadly won't return

The home was very nice, extremely homey and comfortable. Honestly the biggest complaint we had was the showers. The "master" bathroom was pretty much impossible to shower in. The shower has a steady drip stream and the balance between scalding hot and ice cold was terrible. Not to mention it was SO tiny you could hardly move around. My 6'2" husband had to remove the shower caddy to even get in and literally touched the walls while in the shower. The main bathroom shower was just a tad better, once we figured out the trick to get comfortable water. Loved that the owners were accommodating to our service dog, little touches were very welcoming. Matt and Debra were also excellent to communicate with. I will mention though, pest control needs to be better. We did deal with a few roaches, obviously that was upsetting. As much as I hate to say it, we will likely not return to this property as the showering was a problem, the oven needs to be replaced as cooking was difficult due to the electric coils lopsided, a small fridge, and icing on the cake was the cockroaches.

Amazing!

We had a wonderful 8 night stay at the station. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything that we needed! The beds were super comfy too! The apartment has lots of room inside and outside. The fire truck parked outside made my 4 year olds day! The owner is super easy to get in touch with and is very kind. I met one of the neighbors and he was so nice and helpful too! We had no complaints and enjoyed everything!

Would definitely come back

Abbey Acres is a very nice property set back from the road with just enough privacy. The Station was up to date, clean and spot on with the listing. The owner is friendly and available to help if you need him. If I wasn't moving down here I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome Abbey Acres

Great place to stay for access to Camp Lejeune/Jacksonville/Wilmington/Beaches. My family stayed here for a week and having the full kitchen and laundry made a world of difference vice staying in a hotel. Very comfortable, updated furniture, very fast WiFi. Highly recommend!
