The cottage was comfortable and a really beautiful, quiet location. The upstairs apartment was particularly lovely with a fireplace. It was great to have the fence for the dog. And it was relatively convenient to get to the Grand Canyon at the Petrified Forest, and easy access to fun things in Flagstaff. There were a few things that could be updated or repaired in the cottage, but overall, it was a nice place to stay,
The cottage is set up well for a couple upstairs and kids or other friends with the bunkbeds downstairs. Served us as a nice base for our Flagstaff visit; quiet neighborhood with lots of birds in the trees.
Terrible. Home smelled of animal urine so bad we could not stay the second night and left early. Even the "clean" linens in the closet smelled of urine. Ungracious host who likes to argue when given honest feedback. Would not recommend.
The location was fabulous and the structure /design of the cottage, although odd at times, was very cute. It was also great to see that the carpet was fairly new and plush, and the window air conditioning unit actually got the cottage very cool at night. However, we kept having to reset the wireless router, the master bathroom showerhead was too calcified and sprayed water everywhere except your body, multiple things found in the kitchen were dirty (like the glass rotating microwave plate and a measuring cup), the master bedroom quilt also had a dried stain on it, and there were multiple spiderwebs that we walked through upon entering the cottage and walking around.
Not a bad place to stay especially if you're not going to be at home much. Has basic necessities but the plumbing is loud and there was a knocking noise in the wall that can be heard from downstairs bed which kept me up several nights. The oven is missing the start button and could not be used. Blender also did not work when trying to make blended frozen drinks on a hot day. No dish towels available...I believe this was converted from a garage to a living space by somewhat of an amateur builder. Bugs crawled out of the gap between the poorly cut/nonsealed sheetrock when starting the shower downstairs etc.
the location is very close to snowbowl yet tucked away a bit off the main roadthe split set up is great for my older teens so they have their own space the decor is cozy and relaxing
This place was amazing! Tucked away in a beautiful woodland area just 10 minutes away from shopping and 10 minutes away from Snowbowl. It is the perfect mountain cabin experience. Safe, secluded and quiet. We enjoyed it, we even saw deer on the property.
I would highly suggest it. Has all then amenities. Great place to stay.
I really enjoyed my time at this cute cabin with so many windows and vaulted ceilings. Wifi worked great. One morning with the door open while having coffee, 5 bucks paid a visit and grazed just 20-30â in front of the cabin. Beautiful to see. So nice to stay in the pines but still be close to town.
The cottage is located in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Flagstaff. Easy access to hiking, Snowbowl and everything in Flagstaff. The check in process was seamless and very easy. The cottage is 2 stories and I found it a bit odd that there was no indoor stairway between. We had to walk outside to go up or down stairs. Also, the beds were horribly uncomfortable. There are three beds (a bunk bed and a double/queen bed) and we slept on all 3 trying to get a good night's sleep. I love that the property allows dogs. Although I didn't bring my dog, he would have loved the large, beautiful yard.
My family and I loved this cottage. The location is perfect, as its close to the snowbowl and hiking trails. The house decor is welcoming, and relaxing, and he rooms are spacious. Master bedroom, kitchen and living room are upstairs; and bunk beds and family room are downstairs. Just an fyi- no indoor stairs, so you need to go outside to get upstairs/downstairs. There is a fenced backyard, rather great if you have dogs. This place was great and i highly recommend.
Came with our family of 5 + a dog. Saw the pics of the bunk beds in separate room and thought that would be great for our young kids. Didn't realize that was on a separate floor with no way to get there from the inside. Maybe I misread the listing (but don't think I did). But it felt too awkward to have my young kids sleep downstairs in a different space, where the only way to get could get to us was to go outside, go up some stairs, enter through a keypad locked door (I am glad the doors have keypad locks, just hard for kids to use them in an emergency if needed). Hopefully that makes sense.
When we first opened the door, the upstairs floor smelled like some sort of animal pee (dog I'm guessing) and some of the carpet was pretty muddy. We quickly opened all the windows, which helped with the aroma. Im sure that's not the norm, but probably from the previous visitors.
On a positive note, we were having trouble with the washer/Dryer, and the owner was quick to respond and help us.
Our dog loved the back yard, and was super convenient for that.
