Lovely cottage. A very warm, personal and cozy home from home. Gorgeous views and ideally located. In the summer the garden by the brook must be a delight. Hosts very accommodating and quick to respond. Highly recommend.

Wonderful!

Fantastic in every way. Scenery was incredible. Pictures of the cottage do not do it justice. Incredible walks 3 minutes from the cottage. Only slight drawback was they don't have Wi-Fi.

A pleasant stay

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful house, in the early summer of 2023. The house is nicely decorated, is very quietly located and fully equipped. The location is ideal for exploring the area: both beautiful walks and culture. Due to the drought we had an issue with the water supply, but in consultation with David we found a good solution. Highly recommended!

Exceeded our expectations

Our stay at this lovely cottage was better than expected. We immediately felt at home and were very impressed with the location. It was very easy to get to Ambleside, amazing walks and a lovely lake to swim in. The communication with the owners was really good, when needed. The lack of Wifi was at times frustrating (especially for the kids) but you do get quite a good signal tat times at the end of the garden and sometimes in the bedroom with the balcony.. We would definitely like to stay here again in the future and explore more of the Lake District.

Absolute bliss

We booked this as a place for a complete getaway but near enough to all the attractions of the Lakes. The cottage was exactly as described and so welcoming, with homely touches. All the equipment we needed and more. Sitting outside in the garden looking and listening to the local wildlife and farm animals in the surrounding fields and trees. It was amazing watching the night sky with no light pollution. David was great at responding to any small query we had before and during the stay. Cannot recommend the cottage enough.

Stayed here for a week in August it's a beautiful cottage and it has lovely views it was so peaceful and its only a short drive to Ambleside we really enjoyed our stay would definitely recommend

Tucked out of the way, yet very convenient for some of the best bits of the lakes - including Langdale and Ambleside. Beautiful surroundings.

True Lake District

The property is exactly as listed. The owner was responsive when we had a problem with leak. Poor phone signal cannot be helped but wi-fi is probably essential as restaurants,steamers, garages often require online booking.

Fabulous

A fabulous break in this idyllically located cottage with wonderful views from the house. The cottage is well located but quiet and rural, with some great walking from the doorstep and just a few minutes walk to the beautiful Loughrigg Tarn. The cottage is well equipped and nicely furnished, with plenty of entertainment provided. We were two adults and two pre-teens and had heaps of space to chill out.

Perfect location!

Very well-equipped, quaint cottage, set in beautiful surroundings with walks right from the doorstep. Ample sized accommodation for 6 (there were 5 of us, but would also suit 2/4). Loved our week there.

Great setting.

Great setting. Conveniently placed for a lovely swim in the lake and beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside. The house is much bigger than described plenty of room for six people. Lots of amenities and helpful suggestions of walks and places to eat.

Basic but comfortable cottage right in the heart of the Lake District. Beautiful views from the house and garden. Peaceful location yet handy for Ambleside and surrounds. Loughrigg tarn nearby- lovely for an evening stroll or swim!
