Réveillez-vous avec votre café du matin en regardant le soleil OKI à couper le souffle sur la jetée. Après une journée de détente à la plage, dérivez sur le hamac au son des vagues de l'océan qui se brisent et terminez la journée en regardant le soleil se coucher sur l'horizon de l'océan sur le pont avant ou le porche grillagé. Situé à quelques pas de la plage, vous n'aurez pas à marcher loin pour revenir à la maison pour rien et l'entrée sans clé élimine le souci des clés perdues. Choisissez un siège à l'avant ou à l'arrière pour vous détendre et profiter des vues incroyables.
Vous n'avez pas envie de cuisiner ou de conduire? Faites une promenade de 7 minutes au restaurant Island Way et au bar - l'expérience culinaire préférée en bord de mer d'Oak Island. Besoin de quelque chose rapidement? Le dépanneur Beach Pantry est à seulement .5 miles de distance - une promenade facile. Vous voulez essayer la pêche en mer? We really enjoyed the property and our stay. The management company was very responsive. The only negative is that although the description of the property said there were bicycles provided, there were no bikes.

Perfect weekend getaway

We absolutely love Oak Island and this house is just the icing on the cake! It is directly across from beach access and provides an unobstructed view of the ocean as well. This is the second year we have stayed here and look forward to coming back again and again! Rob was gracious enough to rent us bikes since the ones at the house had hurricane damage. Communication was always open and never an issue! We highly recommend!

Review

Location was great however we had plumbing issues that was inconvenient for 2 days, dirty dishes, and let’s not forget roaches! The owner gave us $250 back which was a joke considering all the inconvenience!

Mocean

House was amazing how ever the kitchen was a total mess when we got there. The dishes in the cabinet were not clean and we ended up washing all the dishes and utensils. Also previous tenant had left sand toys and other items without cleaning them up. Very pleased that issues were addressed quickly. Overall great week at the beach.

Great location right off the beach

The best thing about this house is its terrific location, right across from the entrance to a really nice long stretch of beach. There are ocean views from the porch. The house is simple but comfortable. We were grateful for the abundance of beach chairs, sand toys, and a nice beach tent so we didn't have to pack our own. I was disappointed that the bikes were too rusty to adjust the seats. I felt like Goldilocks, with one bike too tall and one too short. Communication with the host was terrific, he responded quickly to both VRBO messages and texts. The kitchen is oddly appointed and missing some crucial items like cooking and serving spoons and a good pasta pot. Because of COVID we cooked all our meals and the kitchen definitely felt poorly organized and stocked with what felt like random leftover items. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We apologize about the bikes and get exactly what you are talking about. The bikes were damaged by the hurricane and it has been very difficult to purchase new cruisers due to the high demand. Forbes Beach Vacation

Our week got off to a rough start due to the home not being clean when we arrived. Our first 24 hrs. involved bringing cleaning personnel back to the rental to clean master shower, provide missing linens, remove soiled carpet and leftover trash, and spot clean sitting areas in the living room. Moreover, the house was listed to have bikes and other amenities available for use. There were 2 adult bike frames in the storage closet, and neither were usable. One was missing a front tire the other had only one pedal. Before our arrival, my wife inquired about a crock pot in the house, and we were told that there was one on site. That turned out not to be the case and we had to pivot mid-week with meal prep. Many dishes in the house were dirty, chipped, or in need of replacement. The house was listed for sale, so the owner may be hesitant at this point to make needed investments in the property that would have made the stay worthy of the lofty rental price. With that said, my family made the most of our week. The location was the main bonus of the house as we only had to walk across the street to access the beach. Without the needed upgrades and assurances around cleanliness and advertised amenities, I would not rent this home again or from Salt and Sand Realty.

Family vacation

House was great. Everything as listed and clean. Owners respond quickly to questions and even sent a daily to do list with weather, rip tide and high/low tide info. Great location with easy access to the beach right across the street. Definitely would stay here again if we make our way back to OKI!

Wonderful Stay

the saying "it's the little things that matter the most!" is ultimately true for Salt and Sand Realty...from making the reservation to actually arriving at our Beach home they took the time to make everything easy, welcoming and did just the right touches to make you go "Awww, how thoughtful!...the beach home was beautiful and had everything we needed for a relaxing, much needed vacation. I believe Salt and Sand Realty is stuck with us from now on!

Beach vacation

We had a lovely beach vacation at Dreams N M Ocean. I chose this property because of its location, location location. The house itself is fairly represented on the website with all of the amenities one would hope for at a beach house. We used the outdoor grill, kitchen and outdoor shower and hose. The front porch is lovely with a nice breeze off the ocean and the indoor porch was great to curl up with a book out of the sun and also offered a nice breeze. There were some nice games that we used with our granddaughter and some beach chairs we utilized at the beach. The screen door was a bit of a concern and should either be repaired or replaced and there were some loose tiles in one of the bathrooms but we dealt with those. The administering/booking of the holiday had some hiccups and the down payment/insurance matters could have been handled better; but overall I’d say we all had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again. This was our first family vacation since the start of the pandemic 😷 so we were all a little anxious but this beach vacation was just what the Dr. ordered. Thanks, Rob!

Amazing location!

We had such a wonderful week at this property! The location is ideal - the beach is less than 60 second walk, and you can see the ocean while sitting on the deck. The layout of the house also made for a relaxed trip. There were 8 of us, but between 4 bedrooms and lots of outdoor seating, it never felt crowded. I also had great interactions with the owners. They were very responsive to all my questions, and made sure we had a lovey experience. I would highly recommend this property!

Unbelievable Experience

Writing a review doesn’t even do Justice for how great this place was. From the first question to checking out, the whole experience was perfect. Checked in to find a spotless house, which is important with the current situation. There was even a surprise gift/card waiting on us....really a nice touch. The pictures don’t do the house justice. There was plenty of room under the house for outdoor activities and to hangout and also take a hot shower without having to go inside. The beach is right across the street....you basically have a front row to the beach without the price. Upon checking out, the cleaning staff arrived and were very nice and also spoke with the manager of the property that was super friendly and took time to chat with us. You won’t find a better managed spot on the island that’s spotless, perfectly located, and super affordable. Thanks to Rob and everyone for the hospitality. We will be back.

We fell in love with this house the moment we saw it! We love the location- directly across the street from the beach access point offers a wide view of the ocean from the home and just steps to the sand without having to walk far along the road to get onto the beach. The house is updated and has many amenities. It is also centrally located on the island where a walk or a bike ride will get you to most places you want to go!
