The Roundhouse is a great spot. Whether you’re having a cozy day with epic views or a launching point for all the adventures, can’t beat this location. We loved sitting out on the decks! John was a great host.

loved the windows and the view. being so close to the main part of town was key to our stay. had trouble finding the switch for outside lights. the string lights are a nice feature but are on a timer and we had one in our party that came in after everyone had gone to bed and they had a harder time parking and then navigating the walkway due to the lights being on a timer - they were shut off when they arrived. Also the dirt entrance off the main road to the area where parking needed to be regraded. Part of the issue/charm of being in the mountains. Great communication with the Host. He answered all our questions in a timely manner.

Convenient location to town, the lakes, with a great view.Unique floor plan - it is a roundhouse - that worked well for 3 couples. Great room on the main floor and the wrap around porch is where we spent most of our time.

Beautiful, Spacious, and Comfortable Stay

This home is beautiful and spacious, perfect for a group or family. We traveled with two elderly guests, and they appreciated having the main-floor bedroom, while we stayed in one of the bedrooms downstairs. The stairs are quite deep—fine for us, but they could be challenging for someone older to use more than once or twice a day.The location is fantastic. There’s a market right across the street stocked with anything you might have forgotten or need during your stay. We didn’t bring our dog, but if we had, we wondered where he would have gone to the bathroom since there’s no grass on the property itself. However, just a block away and down the hill, there’s a great lawn for dogs.If you enjoy sitting outside and people-watching, this is your spot! The two large decks overlook the town and are a perfect place to relax.Parking was a bit tricky for us—we had two large pickups, and the driveway is a tight squeeze from the road. It took some maneuvering, but we made it work.Inside, the comfort level is top-notch. Both downstairs bedrooms have very comfortable recliners and TVs (a huge plus for us), and the main-floor living room has cozy reclining couches, a large TV, and great bar seating with comfortable stools.Overall, we loved our stay and would happily come back!

Wonderful stay

Everything was perfect. John was very attentive to any needs we had. His response times were unbeatable. The views from the house made it very hard to leave! I would return here if we ever visit the area.

Our 40th Whaaat?

Got together with some high school friends to celebrate us all turning 40. The ice fishing was ok, but our stay at "The Roundhouse" was great! Easy check-in, responsive owner, close proximity to Grand Lake's main street helpful supply of kitchenware, and a wood buring fireplace. Highly recommend!
