By the Lake Lodge... 4 Bedroom/4 Bath..Enjoy fun on the lake.

We are excited for the opportunity to host you and your guests. Please make reservations for up to 8 people, ages 8 yrs old and up. No more than eight guests will be allowed. Additional people are not allowed at the house during your stay. If you want to have others join you at the lake, please rent another house that will accommodate more than eight.

Bring your family and enjoy being on the lake. Hartwell Marina is within walking distance for boat rentals. The Lodge is near Historic Downtown Hartwell for dining out. A mix of reclaimed wood walls and tin on the ceilings make this a fun retreat. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 on the main floor and 2 on the ground level. Covered upper deck for relaxing and enjoying the sunsets. Lower level patio just a few steps to the lake and dock. For a tranquil retreat or fun on the water, book "By the Lake Lodge".
You are welcome to use the 2 Kayaks and Paddle board during your stay. 4 Adult size life vests are available. Rental cost includes bed linens, and bath towels. Please bring your own Beach towels. There is a full size washer/dryer available. A second refrigerator is located on the lower level for extra food/drink space. High speed internet and Wifi will provide entertainment. The Weber gas grill is located on the lower patio, steps away from the picnic table and outdoor seating.
Located in family neighborhood of homes on the lake. There are security cameras near front and back doors. Downtown Hartwell is 1.8 miles away. Check out the restaurants: Market 50, Latin Flavors, 329, Southern Hart Brewery, Downtown Cafe & Pizzeria. Walmart and Ingles are about 3 miles away.

2nd Time, Just as Fine!

Love this house. Just perfect for our group of 4 couples! Lake-time is fun. We also enjoy playing games, working puzzels, eating and hanging on the large porch! Lots of room for all, plenty of parking and convenient to golf, shopping, etc. Great hosts too! Thank you!

Family get away

Beautiful property! We love going to the lake and this place had everything we needed and more. The cove was private allowing the kids to swim and play with no worries of boats or jet skis. Convenient to grocery store. The interior of the home was very well maintained and decorated. It was easy to just settle in and relax. Would go here again.

Wonderful stay!

Our second stay was a great as the first! House is wonderful - very large and spacious! Large, covered back deck is very comfortable and relaxing. The lake amenities (SUP, kayaks, floats, etc) are a nice touch. My only recommendation would be to add a few more cooking items (larger pot, colander and extra cutting board). Thanks again!

Perfect little getaway! The worst part of our trip was when we had to leave 😕. The house is absolutely stunning and had everything we needed to enjoy a few days on the lake while my husband fished a tournament. Susan was very accommodating and easily accessible when needed. We can’t wait to come back again soon!!

Fantastic Lake House Experience!

We recently stayed at this super nice lake house, and it exceeded all our expectations. The home is fully furnished and stocked with everything you might need, making us feel right at home - only better! The location is perfect, close to town and the Hartwell Marina, making it easy to explore and enjoy the area. The house itself is beautifully furnished, offering plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The boat dock is a fantastic addition, perfect for anyone looking to spend time on the water. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and can’t wait to return!

Heavenly!

This is one of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed at. Maybe the best. It was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated while still being so comfortable and cozy. The deck was a great place to relax, read and eat all our meals. We all loved kayaking and using the paddle board too! Oh, and sitting on the top of the dock at night is magical. It was truly a restorative getaway and we knew immediately that we’d be back.

Lovely Lake Lodge!

Your cares will disappear the moment you walk into this warm and inviting home. The decor is fun filled and makes this home not so ordinary! The upstairs covered porch gives a beautiful view of trees and lake. The dock is extremely nice with a upper level that gives you awesome views of the lake. The marina is 5 minutes away to rent a boat or grab some lunch. Our family is hoping to return soon! Thank you Susan!!

Fantastic Hartwell Lakehouse

Very nice, clean property with a well stocked kitchen and a beautiful dock! Susan was very responsive to inquiries. Everything was perfect with the house. Close to town for groceries, etc. If you are bringing a boat, note you cannot use the ramp at Hartwell marina. However, gum branch ramp is not far..

This home is exactly what we were looking for and perfectly described. The decor is spot on for a lake house. Susan was great to work with and the extras in the home did not go unnoticed (soap, garbage bags, paper towels etc)... When I purchase a lake house, I want it to be just like this one. Thank you. Perfect Weekend Getaway!

My family and I spent a wonderful long weekend at By the Lake Lodge. The home is beautiful, immaculately clean and cared for, and impeccably stocked. I can't think of a single thing we needed that wasn't at the house already. Our weather wasn't stellar so we were able to spend hours on the spacious porch enjoying the lake life, and when the rain stopped, we loved the dock, kayaks and paddleboard. Susan was wonderful and there were so many small touches that really made the house feel like home while we were there. We would love to go back!
