Culhane Lake Resort le Loon Cabin hors du réseau sur le lac Culhane au paradis.

La cabine Loon est lumineuse et aérée, mais très confortable. Il dormira 2 personnes sur un canapé-lit queen avec matelas pleine profondeur. La cuisine a une cuisinière à gaz et un réfrigérateur; Comprend une cafetière, des ustensiles de cuisine, des casseroles, des poêles, de la vaisselle et de l'argenterie et de la chaleur au propane pour garder la cabine bien au chaud. La salle de bain comprend une vanité, une douche et des toilettes à compost.
Imaginez-vous assis dans votre salon devant un mur de fenêtres à quelques pas du bord du lac. Ouvrez les fenêtres à l'appel de (vous l'avez deviné!), nos huards résidents en été. Si vous avez de la chance, vous pourrez peut-être les voir élever un jeune. Cette cabine est idéale pour une escapade romantique ou une retraite de travail d’artiste.
Depuis son récent remodelage, le Loon est rapidement devenu la cabine la plus appréciée de Culhane Lake Resort. N'attendez pas, les dates se remplissent rapidement pour l'année prochaine.
Le linge de lit, les serviettes de bain et les torchons sont inclus.
Loyer hebdomadaire 875 $ du 6 juin 2020 au 12 septembre 2020. Location à la nuitée de 125 $ du 13 septembre 2020 au 4 juin 2021. Un minimum de trois nuits est requis.

Relaxing Getaway

This is the best place to find solitude and unwind. The cabin was cozy with great views of the lake. Host was very welcoming. We will definitely be back again.

Better than "Good" but "Very Good" was not an Option

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Culhane Lake Resort--except the fold out couch where we slept. It did not offer a comfortable sleep for either of us. Having said that, the cabin was as described (small but cute), the property was situated by a beautiful and peaceful lake, and Steve was gracious and very helpful whenever we had questions about travel or hiking options.

U.P. Michigan Trip

This property is exactly as listed. It is just feet away from the lake with an amazing view. The privy is the nicest I’ve ever used and I have used many in National Parks and in nice campgrounds so I was extremely happy with this setup. I chose this location so I could branch out and visit many attractions during my 5 nights stay. I drove one direction to visit Pictured Rocks. Then one day, I headed to St. Ignace to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island. One day, I visited the Tahquamenon Upper and Lower Falls which is very close to this property. The community fire pit was super cool to visit with other guests. All in all, 10/10 rating from my experience and totally recommend.

Beautiful views for a secluded getaway

If you’re looking to unplug and relax with a beautiful view, this is a great spot. The cabin is small, but the view of the lake is really lovely. Our dog loved roaming around the property, and we enjoyed some fantastic hiking, kayaking and relaxing by the lake. The shared campfire area was nice as well. Steve was a great host—he was welcoming and a great resource for information about the area and things to do.

Fantastic, thank you!

We stayed in mid-May 2021 for my birthday. We are avid ATV-ers and this resort was perfect for us. At the end of the day, we enjoyed a hot shower and the ability to clean up, relax and sit by the lake. Very nice facility and owner is very helpful and friendly. We will be back during off-season again!

Clean and comfortable

Enjoyed our stay, was pleasantly surprised, cozy little cabin, with an awesome view of the lake and early morning sunrise. Close to everything we wanted to see in the area. Would like to return sometime soon.

Delightful Off-Grid Cabin

I thoroughly enjoyed my 3-night off-grid stay in the Loon cabin in early October. The location is unparalleled for its beauty and solitude. There is an unobstructed view of the lake out the rear window. Nights are dark and quiet, and the view of the Milky Way over the lake was fabulous. I very much enjoyed talking with Steve. He has a wealth of knowledge about the local area, and enjoys sharing it. He directed me to the North Country Trail which passes just at the end of the driveway, and gave me enough information for me to be sure I was headed right. There is easy access to Tahquamenon Falls and Crisp Point Lighthouse (albeit on a pretty rough access road, though that's the same for everyone regardless of where they are coming from). The cabin was spotless when I arrived, and well furnished. Be prepared for a percolator coffee maker, which worked great. My only caveat is that the sofa bed was a bit hard for these pushing-70-y-o bones.

Heavenly solitute

Was exactly what quarantine 2020 vacationing can be; quiet, apart from any crowds, and a reminder that there are so many beautiful things to see. The Loon cabin felt like you were floating in a house boat. Incredible sunrises and clear night skies for star gazing. Steve was great and helped my husband with hiking, fishing advice, and local history lessons. Extremely knowledgeable. Was a joy to have our 2 dogs there able to run the property free. Already miss it!

Beautiful Property

The cabin is on a beautiful property. It's rather remote, but because of that you feel surrounded by nature. It's perfect for a getaway where you just want to unplug and spend time with a loved one or spend some time alone relaxing. The cabin was clean and the property manager was very welcoming and responded to questions quickly. Overall, it was exactly what I was looking for and I'm glad I had the opportunity to stay.

Our involvement with the area began about fourteen years ago when one of us began indulging a need to run sled dogs that developed into an ongoing interest, as well as added canine members to our family over the years.
We dreamed off and on over the years of owning a place in the Upper Peninsula in the area of Culhane Lake, but the right place and the right time hadn’t presented. It was a time to for us to visit, love the area, but also have to leave for home after each wonderful trip.
A few years back a musher friend passed away, and we went to look at his former lodge. The spot wasn’t quite right for us, but the realtor told us that Culhane Lake Resort was on the market, and worth a look.
This little hamlet of cabins had clearly seen a lot of life, and needed some work, but as we looked through the trees out to the lake we only saw wonderful possibilities to finally have our own retreat in the upper peninsula.
We didn’t have to think about it very long, since by the time we made it to nearby Newberry we decided to stop off and make an offer.
