Place was as it has been in the past - great. Only negative this time was the door code not working and having to text call while standing in the cold upon arrival. Other than that, no issues.

Beautiful view, but rough stay

This was our second time staying at this condo (two different units). We enjoyed it so much last year, we came back. We won’t be back again. We got to the condo and the lock wouldn’t work. The code was correct, but the deadbolt wouldn’t pull out. After being on the phone with 4 different people for over an hour, someone finally showed up.

We would stay again!

Renting was easy process, room was ready on time. Great beach access, nice to have chairs and umbrellas set up. Very friendly area up and down beach.

Serviceable, comfortable, right on the beach

This property had all that was needed for our short beach retreat. We appreciated the great view, the large kitchen, the balcony views, plenty of towels, beach umbrella and chairs, and great A/C. There were a few minor fixes needed to blinds, closet doors and the furnishings were a bit dated, but the price was worth it. Would stay there again.

Great Location

This condo is ONLY a few steps to the beach! Excellent location from the beach and very close to Stewby"s Seafood which I highly recommend. The unit is a little outdated and could use a deep cleaning but you forget about all that when you see the view and the location.

Just right.

We had a wonderful time. It was perfect distance to the beach and had a great view. Plenty of room for the kids to be kids. The only drawback was the WiFi went out but that was not anyone's fault. Over all this is a great place for the price!

Beach vaykay

When we arrived at the condo, after traveling all day. Went in and there was NO AC. We then were moved to a different location for the night, which was fine. I’ve been coming here all my life and never experienced this inconvenience before. Other than that when we got settled it was paradise of course. Clean, dated, excellent location

This property was everything we needed/wanted! Right on the beach, with a gorgeous view of the gulf through the window and from the balcony. Tho spotlessly clean, my only complaint is that the building, furniture, and decor could use some TLC. I would still pick this place to stay again! Much quieter and laid back than in the hub of Destin.

Wonderful Relaxing Getaway

The pictures did not do the inside justice. Very clean and new appliances and new dishes. Great location, was wonderful to be able to just walk out the front door and be on the beach. We had a very relaxing time and can not wait to come again. Southern Resorts management company was a joy to work with. It was great to be able to call them and they were always available to answer our questions.

Perfect location

My daughter and I stayed for a week and it was perfect. Don't judge a book by its cover though. From the outside I was a little skeptical but once I got inside I was pleasantly surprised. The unit was clean and quiet. I don't think you can get any closer to the beach! It was exactly what we needed and we had a very relaxing vacation.

Wonderful view!!

Place is located right on the beach and the view is amazing!! They however do not supply you with more than 1 wash cloth per person and 1 handtowel for your stay. Just bring some along with you. 😉

Just what I thought it would be!!!

It was everything that we could ask for great size for our family everything was clean and it was nice to look off the porch to the ocean to see dolphins in the morning. The condo stayed cooled the entire time and I loved that they thought of the idea for a dehumidifier. The beach was very clean and the people around us was very nice. Tons of things to do in fort walton and it was way quiter then destin which is nice when you have kids.

Check in was at 4:00pm when we arrived at 4:30 the unit was still being cleaned and the keypad code did not work. The unit had dust buildup in ceiling fan and trim. The handle for the balcony door was falling off. The unit was out dated and could use a deep cleaning.

Disappointing

The location of this property is wonderful; it is private and steps from the beach. Unfortunately, the property itself was dirty and the advertising photos left out the stained carpet, wallpaper and kitchen cabinets, all of which desperately need to be replaced. We arrived late at night and the door code would not work. The property management was accessible and did rectify that within about fifteen minutes. After a day traveling it was frustrating to find a moldy shower curtain, large stain on the bedroom carpet, dust and hair covering the bedside tables and other furniture, broken drawer and sticky cabinets. There are no cleaning productson site so be sure to bring your own!

Quiet small complex

Loved the location and that there are only 9 condos. Very peaceful! Things to know: There isn't an elevator which at first I thought may be a problem. But there aren't many steps between floors, so no problems there. The unit does not have a washer/dryer. However, there is a washer/dryer just outside ($2.00 per load each). Down side: the balcony chairs/pads/table are sticky and black from dirt. Chairpads are worn out flat and dirty. Pillows in living room dirty as well. My mistakes: I DID NOT GET THE INSURANCE! I had to leave a day early due to hurricane Sally's threat to my home. So, I had to pay for a day I wasn't there.

Disappointed

Upon arriving (around 7:30p.m.) for our very short island visit we had to vacuum BEFORE we could let the toddler down....and never did feel comfortable allowing the baby out of the playpen. Besides floors being dirty, dried food was on the table and kitchen counter, inside refrigerator was gross, leak under the sink (possibly the dishwasher), kink in waterline - resulting in low water pressure, stains on furniture, hole in the wall, closet door off track.....overall NOT well maintained. We turned back the sheets on king bed....only to find two hairs. (Grrr). The patio furniture was worn and did not feel inviting. Then to top off the disappointment.... we soon realized the air was NOT functioning correctly. The filter was dirty - restricting the air flow and refrigerate levels low causing the lines to freeze. I contacted Southern Rentals and they worked to try and fix the issues. They arranged to have it re-cleaned the next morning but unfortunately the HVAC tech was unable to address the air issue until the afternoon. Southern Rentals did offer us a different condo, but it was not an ocean view....and that would have put us re-packing 3 kids to relocate around midnight. Southern Rentals proved to be helpful and I would probably rent through them again. Although the location was great - I will not return to this condo unless it receives some much needed TLC!
