House features front and back porches with plenty of rocking chairs for your relaxation. Large screened in area underneath for entertaining with lots of seating and dining for your leisure. Catch an afternoon nap in the hammock or watch TV with family while still enjoying the breeze and salt air. Fully equipped kitchen with updated appliances. Bamboo flooring through out, continue with the interior and exterior furnishings! Master bedroom has private bath and all bedrooms have TV's. Beach access is at the end of the street. Home is on deep canal, floating dock for boating and easy access to ICW. This well loved home is perfect for your family's vacation. Two security cameras on the property, strictly for protection of property. Cameras are located on front porch and back porch.

Holden Beach is a barrier island of North Carolina. It’s located within 40 miles of both Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC. 125 golf courses are within a 1 hour drive from Holden Beach, 40 courses are within 30 minutes. Other activities to enjoy are fishing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, miniature golf and many ice cream shops for your sweet tooth. Boat and jet ski rentals are nearby.

The home was accurately described and the location was awesome! I loved the downstairs outdoor space. Luanne was exceptionally accommodating, and answered all messages instantly! It was clean, well-appointed, and all the furniture was comfortable. The public beach access is right at the end of the street, and easily walkable. We had a delightful stay, and hope to rent from her again next year!

Great location

My family and I had a lot of fun at this beach home. It provided access to the dock down to the waterways. Kayaking was very enjoyable with beautiful views. The beach was a short walk with multiple beach accesses. The home was nice, but there are some areas that need updating. Homeowner was very responsive and easy to access.

Me and my family had a great time. The area was quiet and friendly. Perfect porch to just sit and drink your morning coffee. You can tell the owners take pride in you having a great time at their house. It didnt rain while we were there but if it did and you didn't feel like getting out in the rain, the screened in area below the house had a lot to offer.

In need of major repairs.

When we arrived we found the bunk beads to be in an unusable state leaving some children to sleep on couches. The top bunks both have unsafe railings that aren’t attached to the bed. We quickly noticed rusting exposed nails throughout the decking and outdoor chairs. The back gate to the deck is completely broken with nails sticking out everywhere. The dock railings are also falling apart. I would suggest telling your party not to lean on it at all. We found mold in the windows. The back door doesn’t close which left us feeling vulnerable at night. The comforters on the beds smelled like smoke so I had to wash them as soon as we got there and the pillows are filthy and brown. We did enjoy fishing off the dock and the canoe, the guests before us had left some frozen shrimp in the freezer that we used to fish. The kids enjoyed the closed in downstairs very much. Overall it has plenty of potential and great location it’s just in desperate need of repairs.

Great place for kids

Fun and relaxing stay at HB

Just got back from our stay at Holden Beach and it was one of the best beach weeks we’ve had as a family! This place was clean, had lots of amenities, and the owner was easy to communicate with. The walk to the beach was approx. 3 minutes from the property to the sand. The floating dock was a unique amusement for our family (bring a cast net and learn how to use one before you come; we caught so many fish all week), and the kayak was also lots of fun to use around the canal. The kitchen was completely stocked with utensils and cooking supplies; good for us since we usually have the majority of our meals at “home” during our beach week. Kitchen appliances are newer and all worked perfectly all week. The outdoor shower underneath the house was spacious and well suited for our needs coming off the beach every day. There’s an overall low key, “party crowds not welcome” vibe to HB which is why we chose to come here this year and the street we were on also matched this impression. We would definitely come back here again!

Fantastic family getaway suited for all ages!

If you are looking for a place to have some quality family time, this rental surely has the thumbs up from my crew! I came down for a long weekend with my teenage sons, my oldest daughter, and my four-year old grandbaby and everyone had something to do. All of my kids fished off the floating dock and caught all types of fish. We used the kayaks and enjoyed the great views from the deck. My sons loved the downstairs living space that was dubbed their "man cave" during our stay. The kitchen has adequate space for cooking for a small family and even though one level, plenty of space for everyone to spread out and have some personal space. This is a great home, very short walk to the beach, and the beach is nice, clean and quiet. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back again and hope to stay longer. Luanne was a great host and very accommodating!

Adorable Home

We really enjoyed our week-long stay!--Lovely view of the canal, lots of items provided, close walk to a public beach access (and to the pier), and the space under the house is a really nice amenity, esp on rainy days. Spent a lot of time in the hammock/hammock chair and playing corn hole in the nice little space out back. We had one sort of emergency situation, and the owner responded remarkably fast and the issue was resolved before lunch! I'm with some of the other reviewers that the bathrooms could use some updating, but I know supply chains are a mess (and more expensive) right now and everything was functional--and that's more important. Luanne was a wonderful and responsive host--recommend staying at this adorable home!

Very nice. The 3000 sec deposit is extraordinary. Just hope this wasn't some kind of a setup; left the place in great shape, I have to leave final review until that deposit is all settled.

First time with VRBO rental

It was amazing. House was beautiful and the whole experience was better than going through the usual Holden beach rental agencies.

Great place

Nice comfy home, not far from the beach. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. Had an issue with a TV and they came from over an hour away to fix it. Had all the comforts of home and then some.

Classic Canal House

The house is conveniently located on a canal, beach access at the end of the road, and close to the island grocery. The owners have a mix of updated additions and classic NC beach furnishings and décor. The screened in area was nice, especially during the occasional beach rain storms.
