Had a great time here, had everything we needed and property is well maintained and so clean on arrival. Great communication with Bill. Great location, quiet, enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the birds and the marsh views.

We had a wonderful stay. The host was very responsive and even accommodated an early checkin. The property itself is beautiful, and it's also steps away from the beach. The host provided plenty of beach chairs. We'd definitely stay here again!

My family and I had a wonderful time. Bill was great from the booking to checking in he was very prompt to answer questions. The house was clean and just beautiful we most definitely will be back.

This is a great beach house! A bit basic, but the location was great, with an easy walk to the beach, and we absolutely loved the screened back porch and deck
 the view of the creek was wonderfully relaxing
 so much better than just staring at someone else’s house! We did find the light/fan switches to be quite confusing
 a notecard or labels would have been quite helpful! All in all it was a great stay!

We had a good week! Kitchen had plenty of dishes and cutlery. Check-in was easy. Washer, dryer, and grill were great. Beds were comfy, however, downstairs room had a lot of dampness/moisture problem. Overall, we still had a great time and made wonderful memories!

Great stay for 6-8 people!

Easy walk to the beach. Dog friendly was a plus for us! The downstairs (disconnected from upstairs) had two queen beds with a divider wall, which was perfect for our group. A big thanks to Bill for being communicative and kind! Would stay again.

FanTastic !!!!

This is a sweet house in a very choice spot to the beach access. It was quiet and lovely but also nobody was worried about anyone else. The traffic is not bad if you have kids under 18 and I felt comfortable letting mine go all the way to the beach alone, 2 small roads they had to cross and traffic was respectful. The house is adorable and lovely with lots of porches and different areas and lots of fans and a great kitchen with more stocked stuff than I usually see. We had a crab boil with just what they had!!! It is a CANAL so it does change with the tide. But we loved it and Crabbed. Also right down the road is a beautiful new walking and riding bridge across, great for pictures but also for connecting to the big road. We loved it so much!!!

Spacious, clean quiet and the most relaxing vacation in a long time.

The home is lovely and spacious and everything you need to just sit back and enjoy yourself. The location was a lovely surprise because the back yard is what we described as a wild life sanctuary. What a treat! We loved every minute of the short week we had.

Great location!

Great location, can fish off the dock (only at very high tide), and still walk two blocks to the beach. Beautiful deck and porch, nice open upstairs. Downstairs bedrooms a bit musty and smelled like dog just FYI in case you have allergies. Also does not connect with the upstairs inside FYI in case you are planning on putting children down there, but great use of space. Host very responsive and great to work with. Thanks for a beautiful weekend!!

Marsh views!

The Pelican House was perfect in every way. It has a well stocked kitchen and most comfortable beds. The location is great! We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks there.

We finally found a house! It was perfect for our week stay! The marsh in the back gave my boys so much excitement catching fish and crab!! Great and easy walk to the beach! Plenty of room for this family of 5! It’s taking us 5 summers and this time we found our vacation house! We will be back next year!!! What a spot!!

Perfect house!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, well stocked for cooking (pots/pans/plates/cups,etc) and had two coffee machines, a Keurig and drip. There are two bedrooms at the main house (up one flight of stairs) and one bedroom on lower, street level with its own access. It was barely a 5 min walk to the beach on a quiet street. The marsh view is SO peaceful. You really get the best of both worlds with the house, quiet marsh with beautiful sunsets and two blocks to the beach. We also loved the screened in porch. Short drive to main grocery store, restaurants and cafes/shops. The owner was communicative and responsive with questions. Sheets, linens and towels are NOT included, so you need to bring your own, but this didn’t pose any issues as we were made aware ahead of time. We enjoyed our stay on Oak Island, and would love to stay here again!

Very easy layout for our family to be comfortable. The house was in a great location, with beautiful views. We loved the screened porch & kayaked in the marsh behind the house. Short 5 minute walk to the beach.

Location location location

The location is great! 2 min walk from the beach and the house backs up to a very pretty and serene marsh. We loved the outdoor space (back deck and screened in porch). The kitchen is very well stocked in terms of pots/pans/utensils/gadgets. The bathrooms could use a renovation but were perfectly servicable. We didn't use the downstairs room at all. The only information that renters may need to know in advance is that you need to bring your own bath towels, sheets and even dish towels for the kitchen. Overall, a great stay. Thank you!

Quiet, Beautiful, Convenient!

We wouldn't stay anywhere else on Oak Island! House is well-equipped and comfortable. Beautiful views of Davis Canal and its wildlife from the big back deck or screened-in porch and only a two-block walk to the beach. Restaurants and shops just a few minutes away by car. Plus, the owner is responsive and very helpful.

This house is only a very short walk from the beach and pier. It has a good amount of beds and is setup perfectly for a nice relaxing time.

Me and my little dog

Had to get to the beach one last time before winter. Gorgeous. Ocean was still swimmable. And the place on the marsh was magical (yet only two blocks from the beach). Might have to come back for two weeks next fall.
