Insta-worthy Couples Retreat: Perfect for romantic getaway!

Come visit beautiful, family friendly Hawks Nest Beach where you will find a fresh & clean, charming Beach Bungalow that is sure to please! Located on the most popular dead-end street at the beach with a partial ocean view, our 1940's bungalow style cottage is full of a long line of Hawks Nest Beach history and has been transformed into a beachy oasis. The location cannot be beat as you are close to tennis courts, ice cream, the candy store, crabbing on the jetty and more...the beach is within walking distance just down the road near the flagpole.. The Beach Bungalow is only a hop skip and a jump away from the famous Old Lyme Carousel and ice cream shop not to mention close to Mystic, Foxwoods & Mohegan Casinos.

Step into a bright, open and airy space! There is a dining table that sits 6 comfortably. The kitchen area offers everything you will need for dining and cooking while staying with us and comes complete with coffee maker and microwave. The Beach Bungalow offers everything you will need for dining and cooking while staying with us! Please note that we DO NOT provide pillows, linens, towels or toiletries. You must bring your own. This allows us to keep our rental prices low and pass the savings on to you
.so close to the ocean.

Our home will comfortably sleep 6 guests offering 3 bedrooms. Two of the vaulted ceiling bedrooms each have a queen size bed and the third bedroom has twin bunk beds. Bedrooms are decorated with beautiful, vintage inspired coastal furnishings that will provide a very restful stay. The cottage has 1 full bathroom with full size tub and an outdoor shower.

Last but certainly not least, chill out on our screened-in front porch with comfortable seating, dining area, evening string lights, partial ocean views and cool breezes. When you come in from the sun & sand, rinse off in our hot/cold outdoor shower! There is parking available for 2 vehicles and complimentary High speed WIFI included. .

At the end of your stay, we have a small tidy up checklist but after checkout we have a cleaning service come in to clean. Sorry, but we do not allow smoking of any kind in our home or on the premises. Please note that we do have motion detected security cameras on the property. One on the front porch that observes the front entrance, one in the parking area and one at the back entrance.

Relaxing getaway

The home is beautifully decorated. It was very relaxing and comfortable. Kristine has left games to play, for two persons or a family. The games are inside and out, for the sunny days and the rainy days. A book listing things to do, places to eat. Accommodations are great.Very enjoyable time.

Amazing beachy getaway

We stayed for the weekend to attend a wedding nearby and it was the perfect little cottage for a beach getaway! The place was very clean and so beautifully decorated, and the location can't be beat!

Family Beach Trip

Cute and clean getaway right next to the beach. Some town with arcade, carousel, restaurants and ice cream. Short drive into town for other amenities and attractions. My kids loved the bunk beds and closet proximity to the beach. Very cozy and accommodating for all of our family's needs. It was like a little home away from home. We will definitely be back again!!

Cute cottage across from beach

Adorable, beds were super comfortable, very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, the backyard was so nice for the kids and the porch swinging chairs were so relaxing, the screened in porch was perfect for the cooler nights. Would definitely stay here again.

Adorable Cottage

This house is perfectly adorable! Its coastal decor makes you instantly happy when you walk in. We only stayed one night since we were just in town to visit our Coast Guard Academy Cadet, but wished we could stay longer. We said we’d be back next fall! Our only complaints were that we could not get the gas fireplace started or the TV in the family room to work. More importantly, though, the bed and mattress in the back bedroom were very uncomfortable. The bed was very squeaky and the mattress was shot and needs to be replaced. The soft topper is not correcting the problem. The bed would be an easy fix to make the cottage truly delightful.

Adorable Cottage!

We stayed at this adorable beach cottage for four nights and enjoyed day trips to the Mystic Seaport Museum and the Mystic Aquarium. Kristine has an excellent eye for design and decor. It’s decorated beautifully and it’s very functional for a family of four. Nice neighbors and lovely neighborhood to walk around too. Highly recommend!

.however I would not have rented it had I known I had to bring my own sheets and towels. Not something I want to do when staying in a home for one night on my way to Maine. You should put that out there for people to see before selecting this home.

Very nice stay

This beach house is very close to the ocean, so close you can hear the waves. The house was clean and had a very beach feel to it. Wish we had more time to stay. Would defiantly recommend staying here.

A small slice of heaven!

What an adorable rental! Amazing views of the ocean, sunrise and sunsets. We arrived on a Friday night in November and found the house zero difficulties. The neighborhood is quiet and welcoming and the cottage is well equipped and beautifully decorated! Very warm and cozy even after the sun went down. Bedrooms and beds are comfortable and the back deck/yard was a nice surprise. Front porch is perfect for reading and watching the sunsets. We would rent here again in a heartbeat!!! Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars all around was that some items mentioned in the listing weren’t there (toaster) and the vacuum was a bit full. I like to leave a house clean, especially with dogs as part of our party.

Old Lyme Adventure

We loved staying there and would have loved it more if it would have been handicapped accessible. Three of us were in our 80's and one in her 70's. Taking a shower was dangerous for us because there was nothing to grab onto if we were about to fall. There was a step down to the bedroom and that was very dangerous for all of us. Luckily we didn't fall. The place was great otherwise. The kitchen was clean as was the bathroom and bedrooms. Loved the closeness to the ocean, and since there was a Nor'easter during our stay, it was so exciting to hear the roar of the waves. I am an ocean lover, and I would buy a place there if I could afford it. I am so grateful we were able to stay for a couple of days.
