Wonderful experience! The complex is great, never had to fight for chairs, even on the beach. Couldn’t have a better location in the marina. The condo is even better than the pictures. We saved money on a whale watching tour because we could just watch them off the balcony! It is extremely well appointed so you needn’t bring anything but your trunks. I didn't require a third bedroom but if I had, it would have been a problem, especially for young kids as the access to the third bedroom was through a common area between my unit and the next and also where the service elevator was.

Now that we've stayed there we can tell you this unit and the property's amenities are as impressive as the beautiful view from the entrance. Fabulous condo in a great location

The condo is as fabulous as described with fantastic views of the bay and city. It’s the perfect place to stay for a relaxing vacation with a large pool which never seemed to get crowed and private beach. The marina is only one block away with many restaurants for breakfast, and downtown PV is a 30 minute taxi ride for dinner and drinks. Leona was a great host and we look forward to putting this into our regular vacation rotation. The only thing to be aware of is the 3rd bedroom is outside the unit, across a service hall, which may be an issue if you plan to use it for small kids.

Shangra-La Paradise

The pictures on the web site for this condo did not do it justice. This condo was beautiful!!! My family and I stayed here for 10 days during the 2009-2010 Christmas New Year holiday. From the view on the balcony to the magnificent decor, we felt totally at home. We recommend anyone visiting PV to consider staying at this fantastic location. The owner thought of every amenity to make the stay at their condo comfortable and memorable. It was a perfect location. We were close to the Marina with its shops and restaurants and had a tremendous view of the ocean. Public transporation was directly across the street from the building complex and the security was excellent. PV is a great value and I recommend it for anyone that wants to experience a vacation in paradise.

Perfect Place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay. The condo is beautifully appointed, well equipped, and comfortable, with amazing views from the balcony. We especially liked that the pool tends to not be as crowded as at other properties. Best of all is the location, just steps from the marina. The manager, Leona, and the Shangri-La staff were all exceptionally accommodating.

Tremendous apartment located in a premium complex and area. Plenty of lounge chairs available around the massive pool. Friendly staff at the restaurant/bar. Short walk to restaurants and shopping in the Marina and taxis lined up right outside to take you anywhere. I would definitely come back.

Luxury Condo in a Luxury Complex (just a couple small FYI's...)

Echoing what many have said in their reviews about this condo, it truly was a pleasure to stay here this past week. Not only is it comfortably furnished in the kitchen and well-equipped everywhere, it feels like home because it is tastefully decorated throughout. The elevator opening right into the unit was super convenient. No need to fuss with a key. Just use the code when you get on the elevator in the lobby. Having each bedroom and the living room as its own zone for AC made it comfortable temperature wise too. We used to stay in suites at the Marriott next door. This is so much nicer. As a complex, Shangri-La is secure, quiet, and luxurious with so much nearby at the Marina as far as restaurants, shops and activities. Puerto Vallarta's Centro and Zona Romantica are a quick 25 to 30 minute cab ride for about 150 pesos give or take. Or, the bus is available right there for 10 pesos each. (Now that the newer buses are air conditioned, they’re a great option) For breakfast or lunch, the small poolside cafe on property at Shangri-La is a great choice. Not fancy, but good food with pleasant service. A couple of small notations just as an FYI: - If the sound system and the TVs are important to you, make sure you get a good orientation to them when you check in. When we checked in, we were told that the sound system was not working. It was only in working further with the local property manager that the 18 speaker multi-zone sound system was finally available to us a couple days later. - We chose this unit for the 2 ocean facing suites. There were only 3 of us, so we did not even use the 3rd bedroom. Now that we’ve seen the 3rd bedroom, if more than 3 of us were to come, we know it is really just for sleeping. It is a bit smaller than the 2nd bedroom, and is separate from the unit (across the hall). The 3rd bedroom does have TV with DVR and its own wifi connection. Thank you Leona for making your home available for such a pleasant stay. And thanks to Miguel and Walter, the local property management reps for their help with check-in, checkout and the sound system. We’re already thinking about our next trip!

Awesome Location!

We were a family of four travelling to PV for our first time. The location of the condo is fantastic right on the beach with the best pool! The kids lived in the pool. The condo was fantastic with a quick walk to the marina which had many many restaurants and shops. The security at the hotel was great. I would recommend this condo again, great kitchen with all items needed. The pool was wonderful with a great little restaurant and bar - fantastic for a snack, breakfast, lunch or an early dinner. Also the work out room was clean well stocked and had a great view of the water.

Not recommend this unit at all!!

1. Window shades were electronic and did not work. The owner charged us from the deposit for repair and battery replacement! Unbelievable... 2. The third room is in service area and behind a huge AC unit. It is impossible to sleep in the room from AC noise. Also, it is not safe to have children by themselves there. 3. Light switches have programmed dimmers which would get stuck. We had call the manager to reset a few times. We have been in Shangri-La many times. There are better units to rent. We do NOT recommend this unit.

THIS UNIT HAS THE WOW FACTOR !!!

We have rented numerous Condos through VRBO over the years and this property is by far the most outstanding. Everything is top of the line and the views are spectacular. The amenities exceeded our expectations and having a concierge in the building was very helpful. The pool was wonderful and our two grandchildren spent hours enjoying themselves . The location is perfect for restaurants, groceries, banking etc and with taxi fares so reasonable there is no reason to rent a car. We'll be back.

Truly Spectacular!

This condo right on the ocean in Marina Vallarta is just beautiful! The amenities are fabulous, from the beautiful decorating, to the sound system, wifi and great appliances. The building staff are kind and helpful! We have been to Puerto Vallarta many, many times and this was by far the most memorable and relaxing.

I recently stayed at this condo with my family of 5. It was everything as advertised and so much more. The condo was very clean and comfortable and easily within walking distance of the Marina. The kitchen was well equipped and the entire condo was furnished and decorated very pleasingly. The outside living space was beautiful with a great view of downtown PV and the ocean. Simply paradise!

Wow...what can I say about this beautiful condo? My husband and I stayed here with our 3 year old daughter and my parents and we all had a great time and agreed this place is spectacular. I was the only person in our party that knew what the place looked like beforehand as I did the planning/booking and everyone's jaws dropped when we walked in. It looks just like it does in the pictures, if not better. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, as was the large couch in the living room. In the evenings we all enjoyed sitting out on the deck, listening to the great music system with a drink in our hand, and viewing the lights (and fireworks) in downtown Puerto Vallarta. The pool is amazing! It's absolutely huge, and, as we were there in May, there were many days where it felt like we were there by ourselves. Staff is super friendly and accommodating as well. The location is great...the bus stop is across the street from the condo complex, and there are numerous taxis there as well to take you wherever you need to go. The marina across the street is a fun place to go and take a stroll, checking out the many shops and restaurants. And always, a trip downtown is a must! Thanks to the owners for renting us their beautiful condo! We will for sure be renting this unit in the future when we go back again.
