Traveled with a few families and we had the best time. Parents could relax and enjoy a fire while kids could play in the basement and the loft. House was clean and beds were so comfy!!

The house was beautiful. We loved the various sitting areas, games, and everything in the game room basement! The kitchen was great for cooking and was stocked with all kinds of helpful items. It was great for our group of 9.

Great weekend getaway

The property is perfect for a weekend getaway. With its close proximity to downtown and the basement game room, there is no shortage of activities.

The house was so clean, comfortable beds, and TONS of room. The house is absolutely beautiful with so many great amenities - truly something for everyone! Anne was great to work with and was in communication with me the entire time. I truly feel if we had needed anhthing, she would have been provided anything promptly. The house is fully stocked and we did not need any extra supplies that I am used to bringing with us. The driveway to the house is a gravel road with speed bumps on it - they are hard to see when coming in after dark and it is a narrow drive around the house (highly recommend going to the right when arriving at the house and pulljng around that direction). The road could use some maintenence and the house isn't as secluded as we were anticipating but you still aren't right on top of anyone else, in winter you can see other houses without leaves on the tree. We would easily come stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful time Anne!

Fantastic mountain retreat

The property was very clean and in excellent condition, with plenty of entertainment available. Very close to town, restaurants, gas stations, and grocery stores, but also providing plenty of privacy and a few trails to hike around. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Family vacation spot

This house was everything! We all loved it - I wish we could have stayed longer! We were there in peak fall color and all the huge windows really made it even more beautiful. The kids and adults spent a lot of time in the basement - the kids thought it was the coolest! The kids also enjoyed the trails and exploring and collecting ‘nature’. Such a gem - feels remote while not being far from the city.

Beautiful Property

Our group stayed for an extended weekend to celebrate and engagement and this home was perfect for our group. The house itself is huge and has multiple different rooms to entertain and relax. The home was stocked with items for the weekend and very clean! The location was 10-15 minutes from downtown Asheville and really easy to get too! Anne was a great host and easy to communicate with! Our group loved this home and experience so much, we plan to come back!!!

Pictures don't do it justice - whimsical getaway

This home is immaculate and so much more spacious and beautifully appointed than the pictures give it credit for. The whole home was absolutely whimsical for our children, ages 2-10, with the spiral staircase and loft "library" and the sprawling finished basement with so many games and the kids' bedroom with just the right finishing touches and lighting. It rained most of our stay, so we only got to do a little hiking on the property's trails but this was a great feature we would love to come back and explore. Showers were good, beds were comfortable, and the all seasons porch was so relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped, including children's items, and we really appreciated the ease of check out. This location was chosen for its convenience to a mountain wedding venue we were in town for, but it was close to Asheville downtown and nearby attractions, although it was definitely an out of town feel. We enjoyed being snuggled in the woods, but my only wish would have been some mountain views. But then it would have been perfect, and nothing is perfect. :) The only other thing was the wifi was very spotty, but we expected this as it was well conveyed, and honestly, it was a gift because it's the perfect home to completely unplug in. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return.

This property is delightfully decorated and so comfortable. There's room to gather and room to spread out. Perfect for my family. We enjoyed grilling and having dinner and games on the screened in porch and watching movies in the basement den. We'll be back!

Beautiful, tranquil setting.

Beautiful home! I booked this for three of my colleagues and their spouses while attending a conference. They raved about the cleanliness, attention to details that made the home so warm and cozy, and how spacious and accommodating everything was. Everything needed to enjoy their time was supplied from cooking to having fun in the game room, or just sitting around the fire. Thank you Anne, for your quick responses to questions and all of the extra time and effort put into information about the area and trail map. Wonderful experience by all.

Beautiful retreat

Stayed with a few members of my bridal party during my wedding weekend and it was such a beautiful home surrounded by nature. The space is amazing and the finishing touches just make it feel super special. My only qualm is not having more time here to explore the trails or enjoy the massive game room

bucolic setting in asheville

This is a special place! The house is so pretty and well done. We loved everything about it! The kitchen is well stocked , the bedrooms are really comfortable, the porch is perfect, and the game room downstairs was excellent with pool, ping pong,shuffleboard and lots of games.We played all of them! The location was excellent- very close to town. We loved Asheville with great hikes/bike rides and some great days at the beer pubs. We will be back.
