Upon arrival you will be greeted with a recently remodeled two bedroom and one bath West Virginia getaway. With the entrance of Smoke Hole less than two miles away this is the perfect retreat to see the beauty of West Virginia. If you decide to relax at home there is a fully stocked kitchen for your cooking needs as well as a propane grill. Outside you can enjoy the nice back porch and relax around the fire pit.

Nice Place

My dog and I really enjoyed our stay. Place was well equipped and clean. Holly especially liked the goats and vice verse. Had great communication with Tyler through out. Starlink was flawless. Beautiful area. Would definitely stay there again.

The property is located very close to the 'smoke hole' historic valley, and the Monongahela National forest. It's an excellent base for hiking and nature lovers. The cabin is well furnished and the kitchen has everything you need to cook. Washer dryer is excellent for muddy hikes. My only issue was with flies and mosquitos inside the cabin when we arrived.

Great little house for our weekend getaway. Hot tub and goats were a hit. Would definitely stay here again.

The cabin itself is setup nice for 2-4 people. Check-in and out is easy. Starlink is a plus. Our poor review is due to the fact both sofas and both beds were completely covered in dog hair! I’ve never seen it so bad in any place I’ve ever stayed. Unacceptable and simply gross. If that is resolved, it can be a decent place to stay.

Nice location

It's a nice location in the Smokehole area, close to all the adventures in the area. The bathroom is very tiny but overall clean which is what you want for a place to adventure around from.

A great hide away

My husband and I just wanted to get out of state for a long weekend. This was a perfect random stay that we found. Lots of farm animals to look at. The mountains were beautiful. We would stay here again.

It was enjoyable my son liked the water slide in town at the pool was a pretty nice getaway we rode the train at Cass wanting to go back to see Douglas falls didn't care for the science center much wasn't very much there had a pretty good

Great Relaxing Family Get-a-way

Great relaxing family get-a-way. The location was perfect for us to hiking Seneca Rocks, visit Smoke Hole Caverns, fish and swim smoke hole near eagle rocks, and even visited spruce knob on the way home. The place was nice, clean and we took full advantage of the fire pit, the hot tub, and the even the grill. Can't wait to visit again. Thanks

Nice get away

We were seaching forever to find a small cabin or a place to stay for a few days to relax. This place hit the spot. Close to seneca rocks and multiple caverns. After walking and hiking all the hot tub is a nice way to relax. Check in was easy, the cottage is very well kept. The beds are comfortablelove this olace will definitely book again when back in the area

Cozy Cottage

We stayed at HillSide Getaway for a short weekend escape to do some hiking and fishing, and the place was exactly what we needed. The bedrooms were very comfortable and clean, and we we really enjoyed the back deck, hot tub, and fire pit. The grill is in good condition. The goats next door were a joy to watch. The house is really close to Smoke Hole if you are looking to fish.

Little get away

The place was not very clean, hot tub was very dirty had to get them to come and clean it, and the house had alot of ants.

Pretty cool house, unfortunately, when we arrived the bed was naked and some dirty bedsheets were by the washing machine In a pile. After reading the house rules, we figured out that the previous guests left their nasty bedsheets by the washing machine as they should, but the staff/ the owner never ran the load of laundry. We arrived at midnight and had to do the laundry to have clean bedsheets. We were exhausted after a long car drive ( 7hr) so that was annoying. The grill didn't work. The area was beautiful. Pet- friendly so that was nice cause we traveled with 2 dogs.

No fault of the property. Expedia issue. We were attending a conference at Canaan Resort. Expedia site said that the property was 17 miles away. The conference was 60 miles away, 1 hour 15-20 minute drive

Uppertract Rental

several things frying pans were burnt up - Air conditioners wouldn't work in main living room and first bedroom, the grill had grease down in the grill part caught small fire on the food we cooked, flyes were really bad too, overall house could use some work - Loved the goats, back deck was nice, did see the kitchen was updated it wasn't a worse time for us it worked out Thank you

Nice place

House was clean. Hot tub and fire pit were great! Only four stars because of the following: 1. Inadequate bedding. No top sheet on one bed. No extra blankets. It was 20 degrees outside and the heaters had trouble keeping up. We were cold due to lack of adequate bedding; and 2. No shampoo or soap in shower. There was a dispenser for each, but it had not been refilled.
