Hang out under one of the huge Live Oak shade trees and enjoy a fresh lake breeze or drop a line in the water off the boat dock / fishing pier. Sleep comfortably in 1 of only 3 newly constructed lakeside apartments. 1BR/1BA waterfront apartment with 2 Queen beds, full kitchen, smart TV, Direct TV and free internet service. Located on the water with a boat dock/fishing pier with electrical outlets for charging your boat. Property has a washer/dryer ready for you. This is a Perfect place to escape and enjoy some down time at the lake. Boat launch is available a hundred yards down the street for $5.

Commercial Ice Machine is located in Laundry Room. FREE ICE !!!!

We are pet friendly, no deposit required and pets welcome. We have had no issues with pets in several years so we are not going to be charging pet fees any longer...

Frying all those fish you caught is no problem! We have a fryer available to all guest.

We also have a charcoal BBQ pit available located off the back porch along with picnic tables.

There is also a wood fire pit near the water that is perfect for weenie roasts and s'mores with the family! All-in-all a perfect weekend or week-long getaway!

Had a fabulous weekend seen 8 different firework displays from the Louisiana/Texas was absolutely beautiful we ate at The Fisherman's Gallery food was Delicious

Perfect fishing spot

This place is perfect for a pair of fishermen and one boat. Perfectly located and set back off the road to where you feel safer about your equipment overnight.

Sam’s place has everything you need for two fishermen on a trip on Toledo Bend. We actually used it as a supplement to our place we have here to accommodate our family. Thanks again Sam.

Fall Trip

We enjoyed another stay at the Cooper Apartments. Everything was just as expected. Water was very low. Fishing not real good. But a very enjoyable stay. I’ll definitely do it again.

This was our second stay in the apartments, so I knew what to expect. Everything was nice and clean. The back porch could use some lighting, because it’s otherwise unusable at night to try to cook under the porch. Other than that everything was great.

The apartment was nice and cozy with a nice location by the water. The heater warmed up the room quickly on the cold nights. It did take a while to get hot water through the pipes but that’s ok. The cleaning staff may want to take a look under the beds. I had to when I dropped something in the floor. There was a lot of candy wrappers and trash under the beds. A lot of spider webs in the windows and corners.

Issues while visiting

When arriving to our destination everything seemed fine. Until I went to take a shower, the shower head was not properly working so I was not able to take a proper shower. The sink in the bathroom had very little water pressure. One morning i went to make breakfast and the stove was throwing an error code and oven was not working. There was no trash bags nor toilet paper and was not aware until closer to the arrival time when stores nearby were closed. There was also no WiFi available as there should have been as well as the tv not working properly with dead batteries in the remote. There was no water or ice coming from the fridge. This is not a bashing review. I am just making aware of some issues that may want to be looked at for next visitors.

Fisherman Heaven!!

A quick weekend getaway! Loved, loved, loved this place! Nice quiet cove! We caught lots of fish! Super clean! Owner & Housekeeping were professional! The room was comfortable! I could not think of anything that we would need. They even had a griddle for pancakes etc! We will be back! Thanks for having us!

Where is your hectic?

This was our second time renting from Sam. As with the first time we were not disappointed. We get a lot of good times from our stay. Quick response if anything comes up that you might need help with. Great place for fishing, sunsets and bright stars at night. It's why we want to come back again. Thanks for letting us stay and leaving Hectic by the firepit.

The room was clean and the area was quiet, the housekeeper checked on us numerous times and made sure we had no issues. Only downside was no internet even though it was listed as on site.

Nice quiet week.

Everything was very nice. Plenty of room for kids to play. Very clean and comfortable. I am 71 so my only complaint was the rocks outside the front of the rooms. A concrete or asphalt walkway between rooms would have been nice. Other than that it was great. Easy access to lake and nearby boat ramp. We will definitely stay here again!

Quick fishing trip

My wife and I had a great time. Nice clean room for weekend or a week. Had everything we needed. Owner was very accommodating. Made some new friends and met with some friendly locals. Wouldn't mind a repeat next year.

We fell in love with this property and purchased the house in 2020 adding these three apartments soon after. We wanted a place to getaway and have rooms for all our family and friends as well.

This apartment is an ideal getaway. The beautiful trees, shaded yard and secluded lakeside docking is a fisherman's dream. The boat dock allows for each of the 3 apartments to have its own docking space with electrical outlets. Have a family group but don't want to stay in the same room? Our house and three apartments are perfect for the family getaway with separate living spaces. Or just a perfect place for a relaxing weekend of fishing. Washer, dryer and commercial Ice Machine are conveniently located on the side of the building. BBQ pit, fish fryer, fish cleaning table and extra freezer are all located behind apartments for your use. Large fire pit overlooks the lake for relaxing and cooking smores after a long day fishing on the lake.
