This charming 1940's Cape Cod styled home is situated on a double lot.
Features include 4 bedrooms (2 up & 2 down).
Kitchen is stocked with essentials.
Grill is available for outdoor cookouts.
3 bedrooms have double beds & one bedroom has 2 twin size beds.
2 Full Baths, enclosed sunroom + outdoor patio. 2 story balcony overlooking the lake. Double lot has room to play outdoor games such as horseshoes, corn hole game, bocce ball & badminton, which we have in the shed for your enjoyment.
Also available is a canoe.
Up the street is a place to rent kayak, paddle boards, ski doo, boat rental.
Has a private beach. Sometimes the water is high though. Stairs leading down to beach can be used to sit & enjoy the lake view & watch boaters, swimming.
There is also a public beach less than 5 minutes away.
Conveniently located close to Cedar Point, Kalahari Water Park & Ferry to the islands are Approx. 30 minutes away. Also close by is putt-putt, ice cream stand, plus plenty of restaurants.
Local Shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, ice cream, pizza, laundry mat & close to town.
Quiet quaint neighborhood on a dead-end street perfect for taking walks & bike rides.
Enjoy a summer get-a-way with this centrally located lake house.
Harbor town is loaded with summer fun for all ages. We want you to have the best get away vacation, so we add the extra touches to make it a special place.
DUE TO COVID-19........Only 2 pillows per double bed supplied (if you need extra please bring your own).
We also disinfect with Clorox & 70% alcohol. All pillows & mattress are sprayed as well as counters, knobs, floors, furniture & most other surfaces. We are taking great measures to ensure a clean as possible environment. Any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to message.

From the first correspondence with Gary and Donna to our check out ,they were fantastic !!! This place is such a gem ,our grandchildren asked when they could come back . The house is spotless , they meet us upon arrival to show us around which was greatly appreciated. Couldn't say anything more positive about this beautiful cottage. One of the few properties we've stayed where it matched exactly to the photos presented and met our expectations 100%. Beautiful decor, very clean, well stocked. Great location. Meeting and chatting with the owner was a bonus. Great communication. Outstanding hospitality.

Hidden Gem

Most beautiful views of the lake you could ever imagine in a gorgeous lakefront cottage! Everything from the owners Gary and Donna to the amenities and everything in between was simply amazing!!! Relaxing Stay at the Lake

We loved our stay at the lake! Everything was just as pictured and described. Gary and Donna went out of their way to make our ten year old's birthday special and it was greatly appreciated! The views from the balcony cannot be beat! There are plenty of shops to explore and things to do with a family. We went to the beach, picked strawberries, went fishing, and went to the Vermilion River Reservation. We got take out from Martino's International Cafe' almost every night; the food was excellent. When not exploring the surrounding area, the house is perfect for relaxing! There is a shed filled with lawn games, chairs to take to the beach and even a canoe. Gary and Donna thought of every detail! We hope to stay again sometime!

Relaxing lakeside vacation

Donna and Gary’s home is exactly how it’s described, only better. I rented the home with my boyfriend, another couple, and one other friend for five days. We wanted a relaxing vacation by the lake and away from it all and their rental was the perfect choice. We immediately felt at home and really didn’t leave the home other than to to pick up dinner (and one night to check out Main Street Beach and the lighthouse at going to Pavilion Grille for dinner), there really wasn’t a need to with all the home has to offer. There’s a walk down the staircase to the lake, there’s cornhole, bocce ball and badminton in the shed. We spent most of our time on the back porch and there’s also a screened in porch too. The kitchen has everything you need and the home was decorated in a relaxing beach theme. We used both the grill and fire pit most nights and there’s a few different pizza spots, a grocery store, and other restaurants within .5 miles to walk to. I loved being on the second floor with the walk out bedroom balcony and would often have my morning coffee out there. While we had seen someone mention in their review on the property that it can get pretty bright in the mornings from the top floor bedrooms and you may need to cover the balcony doors with a blanket, we did not have this problem at all and woke up on our own around 8:00am or in my friend’s case, she was able to sleep until 10:00am without being bothered from the sun as the sun is off to the side/front of the house in the mornings. Be sure to take lots of pictures as we made many great memories here and I couldn’t think of a more relaxing place to be in 2020. Thanks Donna and Gary for providing us with such a great vacation experience!

Lake Cottage

This is a cute little 4 bedroom 2 bath Lake Cottage It is tasteful decorated as a beach cottage on the Lake The owner was on time to meet us even when we were 15 mins early for check in She showed us around and gave us the keys The house has a fantastic backyard that our looks the Lake With stairs going down to the water But if you go down to the last 3 steps be careful they are slippery and at the last step to the left and right of step in the water in the sand are 2 metal post about 4 inches cut off -you may or can cut the bottom of your foot It is located on a quite street on a corner lot She has plenty of toys in the shed that was available for our use Now for the not so great 1. No washer or dryer but no biggie 2. There are only 3 blinds that are on the windows in the entire house No blinds in any of the bedrooms so be prepared to be awake by the sun coming thouh the windows every morning We like our rooms dark so we can sleep in on vaction so that didnt happen for us And the neighbors can see you undress even if you pull the white see-through drapes closed 4. in back bedroom on first floor The lights on porch shines though the bedroom window they have the timer set for 8 hours of light from those lights i had light in that room until 4am every morning 5. We were going to build a fire in the firepit but it was full of trash and fireworks sticks So i didnt feel like cleaning it for our fire 6. for the cost of this home per night plys taxes, cleaning fee and owners fee we should not had to put up 3 tvs One for each room We had to set each one of the up with attaching each cable line and plug them in which is easier said than done 7. we had to pull all the sheets off of the beds then make the beds Again for the price i should had not have to do that work its no big deal its the principal of the pricing that we paid 8. The upstairs flooring is uneven leaving some floor boards higher than the one it is next too and has large gaps per floor boards and nails are sticking up my son in-law hurt his foot on one of those nails Do not go upstairs with your bare feet 9. the neighbor Nice lady with 1 barky dog She kept them dogs in when we were in the backyard But as soon after i spoke to her she let the owner know that we were smoking in the backyard which the owners allows and also told her that we were going down to the water using her stairs the reason i know this is that i received a text message from owner saying pleas

Hello Sharon, We just read your review & are so sorry things were not up to par for you & your guest. We honestly value your input & work hard to make it as enjoyable as possible for our guest. We wished you would have contacted us about all these issues, we definitely would have tried our best to accommodate your concerns. We have made some changes due to your review, so thank you for pointing these out to us. I do have to say that we were unable to find any nails sticking up in the floors upstairs or uneven boards. though & would appreciate if you could sort of pin point the area so we can address them. Also I am so sorry about the neighbors barking dog, we talk to her about that issue. She did not call us about anything regarding your stay, but I do remember texting you when we remembered about the steps. The post at the bottom of the steps we torn down due to a bad storm & we have addressed this as well. We usually point that out to everyone before we leave. Our home is located on a dead end street with only 1 neighbor beside us & across the street. We have added shades to all of the bedroom windows. Lakefront paradise

I read reviews on everything, and I have to say, don’t believe anything negative you read on this one. We stayed four nights and had a great time. This house is amazing in all ways. The owners greeted us and showed us around which was very helpful in getting settled in. Every room has a view of the lake. The house is decorated beautifully and very clean. We hope to get back yearly if not more.

Relaxing lakeside getaway

This is our second year in a row staying at Gary and Donna's lakeside house. We once again had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay and plan to return next year! Location can't be beat - private and right on the lake with beautiful views of sunrise and sunset, which we enjoyed from their patio and also while out on their canoe. Clean, close drive to town, nicely decorated, and thoughtful touches from Donna. Owners are friendly and communication is quick and easy.

Perfect lake house

We are 4 dads who take our kids to a nearby special needs camp for a week. We have been doing this for a few years now and this is definitely the best house that we have rented. It was clean, 4 good size bedrooms, a side yard that was perfect for cornhole. They had a shed with lawn games, a canoe and extra chairs. A beautiful balcony off the upstairs bedrooms. Lake access for swimming and paddle boarding. It really just hit every need that we we’re looking for and we we would definitely book again. Gary and Donna couldn’t have been better hosts!

Great getaway!

The property manager/owners were very nice and everything was easy and restful. Neighbors were also friendly and there was a grocery and a couple places to eat close by. Enjoyed watching the ducks and having a bald eagle fly over head also.

Great little lake front property

Quant little cottage on the lake. Beautiful view and outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy the lake (screened porch, outdoor covered porch and upstairs deck). Owners have a lot of pride in their home and try to pay attention to details. Rooms and beds are small, but we fit five adults comfortably. Close to town and marina.

Lovely lake front home, wish we could have stayed longer.

We loved our time in this beautiful home and only wish we could have stayed longer. The home is accurately described in the listing and was stocked with everything we could have needed. We were lucky in that there was a small piece of beach available for our son to play on, regardless he would have had just as much fun if it was underwater. You can't find a better view of the lake and we enjoyed sitting out back in the evenings with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. The only thing I would mention is that the beds are on the firm side, which I prefer. We would highly recommend staying here and we hope to do so again some time.

Dollhouse on the lake

This property was just gorgeous. It far exceeded our expectations for a girls weekend. The attention to detail in every room was just amazing. It was clean, comfortable, and felt like we were living in a beautiful dollhouse. The proximity to restaurants and shopping was convenient. It was a very rainy weekend, but the house was perfect to just sit around, relax, and talk. We would LOVE to come back. Thank you Gary & Donna!

Girls Get-Away

Stayed with my elderly mom and two sisters for a girls get-away. We really enjoyed the lake house. It was the perfect size for the four of us. Loved the balcony overlooking the lake, especially watching distant storms move over the lake. Proximity to shops and restaurants was perfect. I wouldn't say this if it wasn't true, but the house was very clean and tidy, which is important. We had a very relaxing time, and hope to stay there again some day.

Nice cottage on the lake

My wife wanted to treat my inlaws to a nice fishing trip on Lake Erie. We chose the long weekend months in advance. It just happened to be the same time as the famous nor'easter storm was hitting. Owners Gary and Donna made us feel like family. They really made our trip wonderful and special. The cottage is right on the Lake and has awesome views of sunrises and sunsets. The beds are comfortable and the refrigerator is just right cold. They have some photo albums which show you some of the renovation process they did to make this such a cozy place. On our last and parting day, we did get to go out on a charter boat for fishing. It was awesome weather but the water was still like chocolate milk after the previous days of high winds. We did manage to snag a few fish and it was the cherry on top of our unique 4 night trip. Gary and Donna have done a fantastic job providing a warm atmosphere and showed us real kindness. I look forward to spending time there again.

We celebrated our son’s Oberlin graduation and enjoyed the house and yard, the canoe and fire pit, the many birds and lake views under sunny skies. It was a perfect stay!

Nice weekend staycation

We enjoyed our weekend here! The property is right in the lake with relaxing lake views from every room, and a nice outdoor space to enjoy. We took our coffee on the sun porch and enjoyed making meals together and eating outside. We were a very close drive to cute downtown vermillion, so we went and checked out shops and restaurants there. The only feedback we would have is that there was no WiFi, cable, or DVD player. We had planned to watch movies together or stream videos, but were unable to do so. Also, if we had had any work that needed to be done over this weekend we would have had to go to the McDonald’s nearby for Internet. Finally, the kitchen was stocked with very basic amenities, but if you are planning on making a nicer meal that requires any specific tools, I would suggest bringing extra pots/pans etc. Apart from that, it was a great space, and a very nice stay for a fall weekend “away” with friends, and we would definitely stay here again!

So happy to hear you had an enjoyable time, that is our goal! We NOW have the WiFi & DVD player for the cottage. It was something we really didn't use, but realize that for others it was necessary. Thank you for your input. Hope to see you all again!

Beautiful cottage on amazing property

The photos give a very accurate representation of the property, but it's even more stunning in person! The house is beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, and located in a wonderful neighborhood. Waking up to the sound of the waves was absolutely perfect. Gary and Donna were excellent with communication and accommodations as well. If you're looking for a quiet lakefront stay, don't hesitate to book this place!

Relaxing weekend

It’s just a beautiful idyllic setting that feels remote even though it’s less than an hour from a major city.
