Perfect place for the guys to hangout for 44th Annual Peace Lutheran Men’s Retreat just down the road at Fisherman’s Point Marina. We spent a lot of time on the deck telling stories and listening to our favorite music. We’ve already booked for next year and the 45th Annual.

Great family getaway home

This place was absolutely perfect for my families weekend getaway. We all loved swimming and relaxing in the pool. We even brought our RC cars to race on the trails behind the house. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation with their loved ones.

House was great and had tons of room. Google maps doesn't work with the address, you have to navigate to the private road from the main highway.

Hi Chris, we’re glad you felt the home was a good value, and we appreciate you sharing your thoughts. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- Lawn maintenance is scheduled for this week, and recent weather delays unfortunately pushed it back more than usual.- We’ve found that most guests are able to locate the property using GPS, but we understand that navigation can vary. Thanks again for your review!

The house was big and location was great. But.. The pool was green and dirty. They did send someone the next morning to address it, but all they did was drop some chlorine tablets in it. No cleaning! We went to the store ourselves and got shock to treat the pool, but even that wasn't enough. There were no kayaks. There were no usable billiard sticks. The ice maker in the fridge didn't work. The house was dirty.. Smeared hand prints on the windows, dried stuff on the floor. Overall, I get it it's a lake house. But we should have gotten the amenities we'd paid for.

We recently stayed at this multilevel lakehouse and overall had an enjoyable time. The property offers beautiful views and a number of amenities that made our trip comfortable, but it’s clear that the home could benefit from better upkeep and more attentive management. This lakehouse has great potential and offers many features that make it a worthwhile stay, especially for families or groups looking for space and scenic views. However, the lack of maintenance and unclear communication from the owner detracted from the overall experience. With some attention to detail and repairs, this property could truly shine.

Avoid this property at all costs. It was disgusting on arrival — we spent hours cleaning a house we paid to stay in. The kitchen, every appliance, all the cookware and utensils, counters, and floors were filthy. The bed sheets had blood stains and other stains on them. Both bathrooms, showers included, were dirty. The pool was green with algae and full of dead bugs — we had to net it out and clean it ourselves before our kids could swim. And the cleanliness was only half the problem. This property is falling apart and clearly isn't maintained. The roof was leaking into the living room, right in front of the fireplace. The game room was completely trashed — everything in it was broken. This is not what we paid for, and it's unacceptable that a rental in this condition is still listed. Do not book this house.

Host was great. Easy to get into the property and clear instructions. Property was in good condition but could use some TLC. This is a great property for a big group. Only warning I would have for future guest, if you are towing a boat to the property it is a challenge because you do not have an easy place to turn the boat around. We had three trucks with boats (24’, 21’ & 18’ boat). We had to plan how to turn the boats around. Only negative, we notified the owner of a breaker that tripped and the lights downstairs in part of the home did not work from our arrival Friday night to Sunday when we left.

Had a lot of neat features but was just too hot in the main level and the pool was closed yes I know it was December but it was 80 degrees out and would hav been nice to know.

From the owner: “Thanks for the feedback. We want to clarify a few points for future guests:- We were never contacted during your stay about any A/C issue. Had we been notified, we would have sent maintenance immediately. Our system was inspected after your checkout and confirmed to be functioning properly.- The pool being closed was clearly disclosed in the listing description, including the seasonal timing. We understand warm winter days can be frustrating, but we try to be fully transparent upfront so guests can book with clear expectations.- Cleanliness concerns are taken seriously. Our team has been notified, and we’ve reinforced post-clean inspection standards to ensure everything meets our expectations. We appreciate you highlighting the positives about the property and wish you the best in future travels.”

I have always had wonderful places in the past with Vrbo & I have never gave a bad review until this stay. There are roaches everywhere in the kitchen & bathrooms. It needs to be heavily exterminated. The place is not clean. We had to wait for pool cleaner to clean pool. The bed sheets in one of bedrooms was not clean. There are no kitchen towels to dry with. Showers are not clean & water did not get very hot. There is also something on the wall in our bedroom that was not cleaned & looks like bird poop. Please let the owners know that this house needs extreme maintenance. On the good side the place could be beautiful if maintenance was done & roaches exterminated.

We take guest feedback seriously and have since had a professional pest control team inspect and treat the property to ensure this is no longer an issue. Additionally, we've worked closely with our cleaning and maintenance teams to conduct a deep clean and ensure all items, including the bedding and pool timing, are fully addressed for future arrivals. We're always working to improve and appreciate you sharing these details with us so we can continue providing a five-star experience for all of our guests.

This property could be great but it is not being kept up by the owners. When we showed up it had not been cleaned and the pool was green. There were also about a hundred wasps flying around in March, one of our party was stung. We reached out to VRBO and were able to cancel and go somewhere else but we lost a day of our trip trying to coordinate it. The property managers tried to get in contact with the owners but they were unresponsive. This seems like a property someone bought to rent out and they don’t spend time here. This is the only negative experience I have had with a VRBO property.

Definitely a lake rental, not a home

We had an amazing time at this spot! At first, the house and property are gorgeous! But it needs some deep cleaning and property upkeep. The kitchen was great and well appointed. The bedrooms all were very nice. We had a feeling that the main shower wasn’t cleaned between guests, as there was a spider web in there and it didn’t seem super clean. There was some trash on the floor in a few places from the previous guests also. The pool was an amazing addition, but we could see and feel algae on the bottom. It hadn’t been cleaned in a while and half the lounge chairs were broken. There was some remnants of old pool equipment in the corner of the deck, behind a chair. It looks like enough maintenance is being done to get by, but not enough to make it seem well cared for. In that sense, it’s definitely a lake house rental. Also, there weren’t all the games promised, but we were there for the outdoors anyway. The outdoor kitchen was fabulous! We had an amazing time here and enjoyed the kayaking.

Lesson learned!!! Listen to the reviews. The previous 3-4 reviews stated that the house was dirty, had mold, bugs and the pool was not cleaned either. However, I reached out to the guest contact prior to my arrival to verify that the issues with the house were rectified and was promised that it was indeed clean and the pool was swimmable. When I arrived the house was not clean and the pool was actually dirty and green. Nothing had been done to correct the issues. After spending the majority of the first day of our vacation trying to get the reservation canceled it finally was canceled. I do not recommend booking this house !!!
