We loved being on the lake. The beach was rocky so the grandkids didn’t get to play in the sand, but they liked walking on the rocks.

Loved the view and location. House was very clean! Only took away a star because of the cheap rugs all over the house that had huge wrinkles in them and were a tripping hazard.

Nice clean house. Grass needed to be cut. There is only one bed that is a queen, the rest were doubles. Area rugs over the carpet were a huge tripping hazard. Master bath shower door was missing a wheel. Shower door almost fell in.

From the Owner: "Hi! Thank you for admiring the cleanliness of the house. I went to see the property last week to do some maintenance checklists.-The rugs have been removed from the dining and living room.-The grass has been cut/trimmed properly (the maintenance guy added extra days for grass cutting).-I was at the property and did not notice any issue with the bathroom door while using it. It was fixed at the beginning of the season. If I had been informed, I would have sent the handyman, who is available when needed for emergencies. I’m replacing the entire door after the high season.-When we bought the house this year, the owner told us that everything would be included in the purchase of the house, including all queen beds. We can update the listing to reflect full beds. The master bedroom has a queen, and the rest have full beds."

Overall the property was well cleaned, however the carpet is very old, stained, and musty, which made the whole house feel a little dingy. We had small children with us that were crawling and playing on the floor, so we were extra concerned about that. Pros-Beautiful view Spacious living, dining and sleeping areas Great communication with the owners regarding early check in. They even coordinated the cleaning company to come in early, so that was greatly appreciated! Access to shed with charcoal and a small bundle of firewood Lots of outdoor chairs to enjoy the deck and bonfire Children’s toys that were left out to enjoy! Great locationCons- Rocky beach, not great for swimming Kitchen not well stocked with cooking supplies (pots, pans, utensils) which made it difficult to feed my large family Access to washer and dryer, but no detergent Exterior was unkept, grass unmowed and overgrown Stuffy inside, no fans Tap water not good for drinking Overall it was okay! Lots of potential!

After sharing your comments with the homeowner, they’d like to provide the following updates:- We’ve recently trimmed the grass and scheduled a power wash to freshen up the exterior.- New rugs have been added, and the carpets will be professionally steamed after the next checkout.- Ceiling fans have been ordered and will be installed soon to help keep the home comfortable.- We’ve added more pots to the kitchen to make cooking for larger groups easier.- Detergent is stocked in the washer/dryer area, and we’ll be making it easier for future guests to find.We’re glad you enjoyed the views, spacious layout, and family-friendly touches, and we’d love to welcome you back so you can see these updates for yourself!

The house and stay was nice overall. The location/lake view was beautiful. Just be aware the beach is a rocky one, not sandy.Couple things that were misleading:1. A/C is a single window unit in the living room. Cool air does not reach bedrooms. Would be nice to have ceiling fans or oscillating fan in each bedroom 2. Beds were listed as queen. Only one room had a queen bed. The other 3 were doubles. Very misleading and led to one of our guests sleeping on the couch 3. Would be nice if they would have specifically stated “No dishwasher” in kitchen4. As mentioned in a previous review…no cover for outdoor patio cushions. They were soaked and unusable.5. I would recommend the cleaning service to check things over inside and outside. We arrived ready to grill chicken and found the grill full of sand and unusable until we cleaned it out ourselves. And note in listing that it’s a charcoal grill and charcoal is not provided

Hi Allison, the right vacation home is everything, and we’re glad you enjoyed the lake views and overall stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your review, and they wanted to share the following:- We note in the listing that there is one window A/C unit in the living room, and we appreciate your suggestion for additional fans. While we can’t install ceiling fans during back-to-back bookings, we plan to address this during a slower season.- Our listing reflects that there is no dishwasher, and we have one queen bed and three double beds. An additional single bed is also available for guest use.- Prior to your stay, it had been raining, so our cleaning crew removed the patio furniture cover to dry. We’ll work on ensuring cushions are ready for use whenever possible.- When we learned about the grill, we apologized and sent two bags of charcoal at no charge. We also resolved the TV pin issue by performing a factory reset, and it is now working perfectly.We value your feedback and will continue making updates so future guests can enjoy an even better experience.
