Mighty Oak Cabins at Anvil Lake - Pin Oak #2

Are you looking to get away from it all and make some memories? You need to come and stay at our cabin anytime of year!

Our property is Chalet #2 at the former Zaugg's Resort. It is a private home with 150 feet of lake front access. It is secluded but only 10 minutes from downtown Eagle River. Our space is perfect for a family getaway or getaway with friends. (We also own Chalet #3 if you need space for more than 15. VRBO listing 2033201) Each bedroom has a queen bed plus multiple couches and futons are available to make your group comfortable after a day on the lake.

A fully equipped kitchen inside with a charcoal grill in the back patio. You can enjoy a fire in the fire pit in the backyard during the summer or a fire in the fireplace in the fall and winter. Dry fire wood is included!

Anvil Lake is called the "Jewel of the Northwoods". It is a sandy bottom lake where you can enjoy swimming, fishing, boating or simply relaxing. During the summer months Memorial Day to Labor Day), we provide a boat with a 8 hp motor per home, wooden swing, hammock plenty of outdoor seating. We also share the following with our other home right next to this one: 2 canoes, a pontoon pedal boat, 3 stand up paddle boards, 3 kayaks and a classic swim raft. A tennis court/basketball court/pickle ball court and playground are also available for use. We are also close to hiking trails at Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, snowmobile trails for winter fun and ATV trails for anytime fun. Stay with us and enjoy all the seasons of Eagle River!

Low Season: September 12, 2020 - May 28, 2021 we book minimum 3 nights, check in any day
High Season: Memorial Day weekend - Labor Day weekend we book weekly Saturday to Saturday

Winter Weekend

Had a fantastic weekend staying in the Mighty Oak cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable for our group of six. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed for eating all of our meals in. The fireplace and provided wood made for enjoyable evenings of playing games. The location was great and we have stayed at the cabins in the past. We had hoped to snowshoe and ski on the nearby Anvil trails, but instead we hiked to the warming hut to feed the chickadees out of our hands. Bond falls in the UP is an hour drive and worth the view. We wouldn't hesitate to come back for another stay in the future.

Up North Get Away!

Great cabin on Anvil lake. Well stocked with everything you need for a week of fun up north. Wide selection of water sports activities and mosquito treatment kept the bugs at bay. Looking forward to returning next year!

Extraordinary North Woods Cabin

Rarely do you find a cabin that has 4 actual bedrooms (not adjacent areas with no privacy) with 4 queen beds (not a bunk beds) and 2 SPACIOUS full bathrooms. Throw in a gorgeous cathedral ceiling view of the lake with a central fireplace and big u shaped kitchen, this cabin is Awesome!!!

We are native Iowans. We have been married for 27 years have 3 grown daughters and one sweet black lab. We enjoy kayaking, fishing, hiking, baseball, and family fun days.

​We have been vacationing in Wisconsin for 15 years as guests of friends in Sugar Camp, where our love of the Northwoods began. Our family cherishes the time spent and memories made at the lake each year and in any season.

We are grateful and excited to be able to offer these homes to families and friends desiring to get away, unwind, and make lasting lake memories together.
