Welcome to The Nest at The Beach House - your private beachfront retreat on Lake Huron. This cozy guest suite offers a family or couples getaway at our lakefront cottage. It features a queen bedroom and a living area with two (2) bunk beds and a kitchenette. Spend your days on our private beach, swimming and relaxing, then dine outdoors on one of two decks with lake views and a BBQ. End your evening cliffside in Muskoka chairs with a bonfire, your favourite beverage, and breathtaking sunset. The Nest is a private lock-off guest suite with the charm and privacy of its own cottage. It has everything you need for a perfect summer getaway. Enjoy two private upper decks — one lake-facing, one country side — surrounded by a treetop canopy, along with your own entrance, BBQ, and outdoor amenities. Kitchen has 2 countertop induction cooktops, microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven and BBQ. The cottage sits among mature trees with stunning lake views and a forested ravine. A staircase (66 steps) leads to our private beach, with landings along the way to take in the scenery. The proximity to the beach is ideal for setting up for the day, and easy return to the cottage for meals, and ending with breathtaking sunsets over the water.Some friends and visitors have pulled the boats up on the sand overnight, keep an eye on the weather and avoid overnights if the waves are predicted to be high. Huron summer storms are amazing to see but not in a boat! The private upper decks, front and back yards are free to explore. Walking along the beach in search of beach glass is encouraged! There is a firepit that looks out on Lake Huron for guests to use - please bring your own firewood. Parking in private driveway and can accommodate 4+ cars if you have a day-guest join you at the beach. The lower deck is part of the main cottage, but will be not used during your stay if we (host family) are not up - feel free to use it as well.
