I’m so sorry about the dirty dishes upon your arrival. I really wish you would have brought this to my attention, because I would have addressed it immediately with housekeeping and had it rectified. I will message you directly, but I would definitely like to see the pictures, so that I can still bring it to the attention of my property Manager. Again I apologize, this is certainly not the kind of feedback I want to hear, but it is definitely something of which I need to be aware. Summertime is very busy, but that is no excuse for substandard housekeeping. I really would have liked the opportunity to make it right for you during your stay.

Thank you for your feedback. It seems you liked the condo but was disappointed in the limited parking you experienced on a holiday weekend. The good news is that all parking at our complex is FREE. Each guest at our property is provided one reserved parking spot in the driveway in front of the garage and is allowed to park an additional car in the guest parking spaces at a first come first serve basis. I understand parking is frustrating when lots are full, but my garage is not available to any renter as we store our personal items in the garage. Nowhere in my listing does it say that the garage is available to renters, so I’m not sure why you felt bamboozled. Your handicapped brother was certainly welcome to park in the one dedicated parking spot only steps from the front door. I apologize if you were offended by me referring you to my Property Management company to help you out with a broken door handle and extra blankets. I pay them to maintain my condo as well as service renters during their stay. They are there to help you 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I live out of state so I depend on them to be there for you.

Thank you very much, this is some excellent feedback. I will put together a map that shows both the dumpster location and where the beach parking is located. Thank you for your understanding on the check in and checkout times. The busy summer months are tough when housekeeping is working as fast as they can to turn the properties. I think they are doing much better now with additional staffing.

Upon receipt of this review, I was able to contact the traveler to determine the disconnect as I had responded to all pricing inquiries prior to check in. Unfortunately during the check in process, my property manager mistakenly gave the traveler the owner's invoice which showed the dollar amount of what I, the owner, pay my property manager for the booking versus what the traveler had paid on VRBO. For obvious reasons the dollar amounts are different and therefore very confusing. Sadly, this resulted in the traveler feeling scammed. On behalf of the lights taken down on the front and back porches, this was due to the siding on all the buildings in the complex being replaced due to the devastating blows of both Hurricane Sally and a hail storm that followed soon after. The traveler had been advised of this project in correspondence at the time of booking. The rest are all minor maintenance issues that I'm grateful the traveler reported and have been corrected. As much as I hate to see a review such as this, it brought to light a training issue that absolutely needed to be addressed. I'm very grateful the traveler was willing to talk with me to resolve any concerns. My guests are the most important part of my rental property, so I truly appreciate the feedback. It's the only way as an owner I can correct any issues and make every traveler's experience better!
