Historic home walking distance to downtown, the harbor, and restaurants!

Recently refurbished historic home located on a one-acre corner lot in the Village of Port Jefferson. The four bedrooms are larger for an older home with the master bedroom located on the first floor. The spacious screened in porch overlooks historic homes and the well-manicured property provides an excellent space for BBQs, cocktails, and conversations. This charming home has elegance and ambiance for a very relaxing stay. Walking distance to downtown Port Jefferson where you will find excellent restaurants, bars and shopping. During the Summer months Port Jefferson offers free concerts in the park overlooking the harbor, farmer’s market and art shows. A short drive to Eastern Long Island you will find small towns, wineries, fruit stands and restaurants. Port Jefferson to Bridgeport Ferry is also walking distance from our home.

Very relaxing and tranquil mornings

The screened-in porch was the place to hang out in mornings and evenings. Very quiet setting but close to downtown Port Jefferson.

Great location, perfect for exploring downtown PJ!

We had a great week staying at the Port Jeff house. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and there was plenty of space for 4 adults and our 2 grand children. The outdoor space was big and we had fun with the kids running around the yard. There is a single zone AC unit with thermostat downstairs. The downside was the upstairs bedrooms were warm during the night. We added multiple fans to help. If there was a "heat wave" it would have been much warmer. Overall would highly recommend the house, location was perfect. The owners were very responsive and helpful during our stay

Great location

My 2 sisters and I stayed here while in Port Jefferson. The house was a perfect fit for the three of us and walkable to everything in town. The house is historic so the only issue was the air conditioning had to be kept at a high temp. We stayed at the end of May so it wasn’t too bad and we kept windows open but I imagine summertime may be an issue. It would’ve been nice to have a clean sponge, dishwasher pods in the kitchen. There was also a mish mash of pots and pans , plates etc. and stuffed drawers full of random utensils. We didn’t do much cooking so it didn’t become an issue. We would have enjoyed the outdoor porch but it needed a good cleaning. We would definitely come back though. Communication between the owners was great and easy check in and out. They were very accommodating and kind.

Fantastic location and house!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home!! Every aspect of the house and what we wanted to get out of the vacation exceeded our expectations! The owners were lovely, the house was clean and spacious and the location was outstanding! We saw many old friends and loved being back in Port Jefferson. (I worked as an actor at Theatre 3 for ten years!) We highly recommend this rental and would love to come back some time. Thank you K & P!!

Best home-away ever!!

In all the years we've booked through VRBO, I have NEVER been more impressed, relaxed, delighted, nor at-home... in any other property of any type, from shack to castle. The family members with us, as well as those who dropped by, said the same. It's an unpretentious, big old cozy house that feels like .... family! It was an overdue homecoming for me. We had many plans over our 8 days that, although enjoyable, kept us from really sinking into the relaxation of that wonderful home, with the unique buzz of Port Jefferson Harbor right outside its door. We didn't get to meet Kevin and Paqui, but their communication and the sense of welcome before and during our stay could not have been better. And SO many small yet thoughtful amenities... I hope we can return soon, with NO agenda, and spend all our time on the porch, watching our grandkids laugh and roll around the lawn.

Brilliant alternative to a hotel room full of family

Visiting my dad has become trickier since he moved to a senior apartment. Our adult teen children don’t love being crammed into a single hotel room with us. Then we stumbled upon this nostalgic, cozy, multi-roomed oasis, and we are in love with it! THE PORCH is an invaluable hub for gathering family and guests together, in the great outdoors. We sipped coffee ☕ in rocking chairs on lazy mornings, napped on summer afternoons, sipped cocktails and grazed on bbq, played board games and ate birthday cake for Grandad. It is the crown jewel of the house. Inside the house, we felt like we were back at grandparent’s gracious home. Kitchen is stocked with all the necessities. Bathrooms have baskets of amenities. Beds, towels, furnishings made us feel instantly at-home. We walked down to the Steamroom and Tiger Lily for meals and ice cream and nightlife. Our dog sprawled on the lush lawn. We just left yesterday, and I am already booking another week in October. This place is an absolute gem.

Port Jeff Stay

Location of property was perfect for our needs. Walking distance to all things in Port Jeff. The home was very inviting, and as described in listing. Check in was extremely easy. Enjoyed having a amenities in the house for all of our needs. Will look to book again for our annual Long Island vacation.

Charming home close to Main Street ad harbor

This charming home is located ion a corner lot with a big lush green front yard, a back yard and a screeed I porch which is cool on a summer day. Surprised by quaint historical homes, it is very short walk to restaurants and harbor. Inside -beds are comfortable, funny equipped with all you need in kitchen and baths, very clean and lovely furniture. A bit like visiting an aunt or grandma. Loved this place. Highly recommend. The pics do not fully depict how much land surrounds the house

Beautiful home and great access to Port Jefferson

We had a great time staying in this home. It is within walking distance to Port Jefferson which has lots of good restaurants, a brewery and shopping and is in a beautiful historic neighborhood. It has a large comfortable screened in porch and many historic architectural details. We would definitely stay here again.

Just perfect!

This cozy, clean, well- situated property exceeded expectations. It was comfortable and included everything our family needed for a holiday gathering, in walking distance of the charming shops and restaurants of Port Jefferson. Lovely Early Spring Getaway!

This home in Port Jefferson is lovely, comfortable and dog friendly! Despite the relatively cold weather, we enjoyed walking to and around the town (which has a variety of shops and restaurants) as well as exploring the dog beach and surrounding area. Indoors, the home is conducive to relaxing, cooking and ordering in (which we did one night).
