Excellent location and great accommodations. Enjoyed the kayaks that were available for guest use. 15ish min walk into town with sidewalks for most of the way. My daughter loved the hammock they have under the tree and the fire pits next to the water were great in the evening. We didn’t make use of the bicycles but they were well equipped with 10 beach cruiser type bikes. I was concerned about the proximity to the train tracks but slept fine. Appears to be passenger trains only, which are short and don’t blast their horn. Slight rumbling in house as they pass but overall easy to ignore.

We *loved* our stay here- it was a stunning property, clean, stylish, and comfortable accommodations and wonderful hosts. 6 of us came for an annual reunion weekend and were greeted by Patty who was cleaning one of the other cabins but went out of her way to welcome us, show us around the property, and give us some recommendations for lunch. The bluffs first floor was cozy but had everything we needed and more- we loved the options of both coffee and espresso. We will absolutely be back sometime when it is warm enough to enjoy the fire pit and kayaks!

Lovely property, with great views and access to kayaks, paddle boards and peddle boats for added fun. They also had a large tented area by the dock that allowed a shaded area which was perfect as we had an infant with us. The home is very comfortable, well-maintained and updated but due to being an old house, the layout is odd - you have to walk through the second “bedroom” to get to the kitchen, bathroom, main bedroom or living. The second bedroom is really a center room with a trundle bed. This was the only room with A/C, so we had to keep the doors open between rooms at night to keep them cool (Aug visit). We rented both the first and second floors together which worked great for six adults and an infant. No washer/dryer however, so plan accordingly. The home was sound proof internally - the downstairs didn’t hear the upstairs and vice versa, but downstairs you heard all water flushing/showering etc coming from the upstairs. Not an issue just an FYI. Favorite “room” was the front porch in the Adirondack chairs facing the water. Very peaceful and relaxing! The property was on the pricier side for the area, however we would definitely rent again for the grounds, views and amenities.

Property was beautiful, great location. Very clean. Train tracks are right behind house, they can be lout. Description was a bit deceiving as it is a 2 family house.

Mini vacation

When reserving this property it was a bit deceiving thinking I was renting whole house when I was only renting first floor. It's a beautiful property and great for relaxing , close to shops and restaurants a close drive away. It has everything you need, towels for outside, blankets for sitting by the fire, kayaks ,SUP, bikes and a few lawn games. We were attending a bridal shower in Norwalk, but had family with us so decided to rent this. Would probably rent again if in area. Be aware that the train runs right behind the property and goes until 11ish at night. Also renters upstairs came back late each night 1am and you could here them shuffling around. Management should consider only renting whole house for the noise from floor above.

Adorable cottage on well maintained property

Perfect cottage for a quick getaway. Beautiful water view. Completely renovated and tastefully decorated. Easy walk downtown. Would highly recommend!
