At Osprey Cove you can enjoy kayaking through the salt marshes and, sunning at the private beach (3/4 miles away - 12-minute walk or 2-minute drive with private permit parking pass provided), or hiking/biking through the pinewood forest. If peace, quiet, sun and water are on your list for a getaway no need to look any further. Plenty of comfy spaces inside and out to lounge and look at the water. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac right next to walking trail.

Liz’s house is absolutely amazing!! The views of the marsh and sound are absolutely beautiful! The house is spacious, well-appointed and fully stocked! Besides the house being so amazing the host Liz was outstanding! She literally saved our Christmas holiday by being so flexible and accommodating after our originally booked rental fell through at the last moment. I would highly recommend Liz’s place to anyone and everyone!

Beautiful Home!

Beautiful home with a beautiful location. Lots to do at the home and the area surrounding. Perfect for our large family to stay for graduation. Loved watching the birds and trains from the deck and collecting shells at the beach.

The house was perfect for us. We had 4 generations and there was space for all of us. Loved the balconies and being on the marsh. I accidentally locked us out the first day and the owner Lizz was quick to respond. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The boys enjoyed the kayaks. And we all enjoyed watcing the birds when on their nest. Highly recomend . The neighborhood was very quiet.

Osprey Cove

We had a great 4 day get away with my kids, their spouses and children. The house was large enough for everyone to hang out together and had private spaces to accommodate for alone time. It was a quiet peaceful location with a private association beach about 1 mile away. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. The 2 decks and a screened in porch really added to the relaxed feeling. The owner was also very responsive to questions etc. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

We had a great stay at Liz’s house. Very spacious and there were rooms/areas for everyone to spread out but also plenty of spots for everyone to join together. We spent evenings on the enclosed porch playing card games and mornings drinking coffee on the balconies. Beach was a short (but hilly!) walk or a very short drive, and the water was absolutely perfect for the kids. Calm and not too crowded. The house had great AC and lots of amenities. Liz was a helpful and responsive host. Would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely stay

The house was perfect for two families and their grown children, one couple with an infant and two dogs! There were several spaces for quiet times and a big enough table and a well equipped kitchen for us to cook and eat together. The kayaks were great and the osprey nest across from the balcony had 2 babies - beautiful. Excellent and fast communication with the owners.

We want to go back!

A wonderful, well-equipped and clean home with a beautiful view of the salt marsh from the upper deck. The sunsets over the marsh were spectacular!

Incredible

This place was home to me and 5 of my cousins(All 60) for 5 glorious days. Lots of bedrooms (I got the master suite, which included a balcony overlooking the marsh with a birdseye view(no pun intended) of the Osprey nest with 2 Osprey in it !! The house was well-stocked with every thing necessary for our comfort! The private beach was beautiful, except the port-o-potties were way back at the parking lot, which was way too far to walk back. I would give this property a 10/10 !! I would definitely rent this little piece of heaven again!!!!

Love the location! Very roomy house.

Me and my family loved staying in this area, perfect location for the beach and relaxing. Kids loved all of the bikes, and the kayaks were put to good use. House was cool, comfortable with lots of room.

Year round bliss!

Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, this home is perfect! So many rooms to cozy up and hang and we couldn’t get enough of the tranquil water surroundings. Host was superb, can’t wait to come back!

The Perfect Escape!

Our stay in Niantic exceeded our expectations! The home was perfect for our group; a quiet cul-de-sac location, properly stocked with the essentials and close to activities (casinos, trails/hiking, etc). Liz was a pleasure to work with, we would absolutely stay here again.

Christmas Vacation

Great, cozy property with beautiful views of the trees, community and osprey. Three bedrooms and sleeping space near the kitchen had great views. House includes a rec room with adjoining twin bed room on the lowest level, which we were looking forward to using but couldn’t because the area was wasn’t heated. Otherwise, wonderful house for all family members!

Mini-Reunion

Had a 3-family mini-reunion. Lots of beds and rooms. Beautiful house that was very clean. Very stunning, unique view overlooking the salt marsh. Enjoyed taking the kayaks out right from back of the property. Nice trail nearby through the woods to walk the dogs.

Simply awesome

Great house, great host! The house was fully stocked with anything you might need and there was plenty of space. Very quiet neighborhood and the view from the back deck was amazing. Host was extremely responsive to our requests as our plans changed last minute. We will definitely be back.

Captivating coastal charm

It is hard to out into words how much this home provided us with a beautiful, restful, peaceful and invigorating stay. Our hosts were attentive, organized, helpful and answered our questions immediately when we needed. The house is beautiful and the balcony views just breathtaking. I am not able to find the words to describe how wonderful our stay was. You will have to see for yourselves!

An Absolute Gem!

Can't say enough good things about this beautiful rental property. We found it to be clean, well stocked with all the amenities we would need, and spacious enough for our 3 small families to be comfortable. The owners are delightful to deal with and assured us that they would be available to reach if we needed anything (we didn't need a thing because the home had everything!). The location is convenient to many attractions. The home itself is situated on a fairytale lot. We could not have been more pleased and strongly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in that area of Connecticut.

Peaceful family getaway

Wonderful property located on a peaceful marsh with beautiful birds-ospreys, egrets, herons-kayaking on calm waters. The house is in excellent condition and perfect for multigenerational families with children who want to spend time together as well as private time. Location is great-2 minutes by car from beach; walkable too (~10 min), right at edge of hiking path in nature park. Liz is a great host- very responsive. Lots of amenities-towels, beach chairs, etc. and even interesting and fun toys for children The pictures don’t do it justice-it is even better than it looks.

Perfect family beach vacation

Our stay was extremely relaxing and we loved this home. It was spacious and accommodating. We hope to visit again in coming years. The location is amazing being near a trail, close to the beach and 10 mins from downtown restaurants. The neighborhood is cute and included many friendly neighbors who said hi during our evening strolls. The views from the backyard/decks are spectacular. We were able to see the Osprey everyday. We walked a few times to the beach and also used the beach pass to park close by. The hosts are easy to communicate with so definitely reach out if you have questions and are considering booking this rental.

Hershey getaway

We were very pleased with the accommodations and the condition of the property and the location. We were pleasantly surprised to see the twin beds in the lower level, which were not shown on the pictures that were online. It was the perfect place for the teenagers, we did a little bit of kayaking. We went to the beach and spent lots of time playing games and reconnecting his family. Liz was very easy to connect with, and answered our questions quickly we were very pleased to have her as a host. Because it is midway between Maine and Pennsylvania we may be using this vacation home again.

Great home for multigeneration family group

We had a great stay at Osprey Cove! The views of the wetlands and osprey nest were amazing. We had a multi-generation group of 7 and the house was perfect for our needs. The house was well-maintained and clean. There was plenty of space, with living rooms on the first floor and lower floor. There was also lots of outdoor space, with balconies with seating. The beds were very comfortable. It was convenient to have four bathrooms. We appreciated the large dining table so our group could all eat together. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cutlery. It was a quick drive to the beach, and there was plenty of beach parking while we were there. The house had a lot of gear for the kids, with bikes, games, and puzzles. We didn't end up using the kayaks, but it was nice to have as an option. Communication with the owner was easy and fast. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful home with everything you could need!

We had a wonderful week at Osprey Cove! We've been using VRBO for vacation rentals twice a year since 2006 and this is one of the nicest homes we've rented. A beautiful master bedroom with en suite bath (soaking tub and separate shower), with a nice size deck to catch the sunrise, plus two other nice bedrooms on the second floor with another bathroom to share. The main floor has another deck with a seating area for four, plus a screened porch off the kitchen and a patio area for grilling with a table and chairs. Finally the lower level has a large family room with an 80" TV perfect for gaming which opens out to the back yard and another patio for sunning. There were wonderful things to see and do in the area. Our family launched the kayaks from both the backyard and the nearby association clubhouse and made use everyday of the clean association beach which directly borders Rocky Neck State park. Main Street Niantic is a 10 minute drive with restaurants and shops and it's only minutes to The Book Barn - the best used book store in New England. We also took a day trip to Mystic, a 25 minute drive, for the sights and attractions there. Our host was great and always available by text or cell, (our first day there was during hurricane Ida!) and this home is high on our list for a return summer week. The only "fault" - please add a nice reading light in the living room to curl up with all those $1 paperbacks we bought at Book Barn!

Together they love hiking, biking, kayaking and anything outdoors.

We've put our loving energy into this quiet oasis. We love how it's located at the end of a cul-de-sac, safe for the kids to bike and walk around the community. There is access to an amazing hiking/biking/walking trail right outside the driveway. And within 2 minutes you can park your car in the private beach parking lot and hop onto the beach for a day filled with sun and water adventures. Or you can stay right in the backyard and hop in the kayaks to enjoy the peace and serenity nature has to offer.
