Le 8th Street Suites est une maison en rangée rénovée sur 3 niveaux, comprenant 4 chambres, 3 salles de bains complètes et 1 salle de bain. Il dort confortablement de 14 à 15 personnes. La Master Suite comprend un lit queen-size avec une salle de bains privative avec un téléviseur hdtv de 42 pouces. Suite 2 contient également un queen-sized. Suite 3 contient deux lits complets. Le levier inférieur a une 4ème chambre w / un 42d hdtv et un futon.

La propriété dispose d'une cuisine ouverte, un ensemble de laveuse et sécheuse, appareils électroménagers en acier inoxydable, lave-vaisselle, micro-ondes, mixeur, cafetière, etc. Nous avons également fourni la télévision par câble et un accès Internet.

La propriété est idéalement située à quelques minutes du centre-ville D. C. et du centre-ville de Silver Spring, Maryland. Il est également à quelques minutes d'Adams Morgan, de la rue Historical U, du nouveau centre de congrès DC, etc.

La propriété dispose d'un plan d'étage ouvert avec magnifiques planchers de bois franc Aztec Cherry, éclairage encastré avec portes françaises menant à une grande terrasse extérieure. Went to visit our son in DC for thanksgiving. We had 8 adults staying and we cooked our thanksgiving dinner together. There was not enough utensils and dishes in cabinet were dirty. There wasn't enough towels, no curtains anywhere so very cold and bright in bedrooms. There were cracks in foundation and the back end of house slanted downward . And there were lots of bugs in basement bedroom. Next time we come to DC to visit we will be staying somewhere else.

It was a great place to live for our group.

I loved everything about the house. Please properly repair the ceiling in one of the guest rooms. The house is in a good neighborhood. Having a car is probably best to get into the heart of the city.

The heat was set to 54 when we arrived. Took until the next morning to feel warm inside. When the outside temp dropped on Thursday night, the back bedroom was very cold, even with the heat on. Water in the shower after the hot water was restored (we discovered we had no hot water the first morning) was luke warm as well as shifting back to breathtakingly cold. Upstairs bathroom shower drips constantly. Toilet in the same bathroom sometimes takes hours to refill to be able to flush again. What appears to be cockroaches in the kitchen while we were trying to cook food for Christmas dinner as well as other times (we killed at least 5). Mud/clay caked on the front steps with slippery left over salt. No sharp knives and no oven mitts/pot holders. No cleaning supplies outside of trash bags and dishwasher detergent. Broken glass and debris in the alley. The dryer handle is a fork (not kidding). Dishwasher was full upon arrival when it was stated the house had been vacant for some time. Had to call VRBO to get check in information sent and poor communication overall.

Several of the items you mentioned were addressed as soon as they were brought to our attention, including the hot water and heating. Our home uses a central system, and temperature recovery can take time during extreme cold snaps, which occurred that week. That said, we did follow up with our vendors after your stay to recheck the HVAC and plumbing, including the upstairs bathroom fixtures. Regarding cleanliness and supplies, this is not the standard we aim to provide. We’ve since reviewed this with our cleaning team and made adjustments to ensure better pre-arrival checks, restocking of basic kitchen items, and exterior inspections. The alley and surrounding areas are city-maintained, but we understand how that impacts first impressions and have added additional monitoring of the immediate entry points. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving the experience for future guests. Miles

Perfect for our needs

We had three adult couples and two very young children. The house provided ample space for everyone to have private sleeping areas while also providing roomy areas for group dining and activities. Three full baths and a half bath insured no waiting for the facilities. We took full advantage of the near proximity of public transportation. Great overall experience.

Great place....except for the cockroaches

Everything about this property was great.... except for the cockroaches. Great neighborhood, great layout, plenty of space for a family holiday gathering.... But there were cockroaches in the kitchen and in the basement sleeping area. We purchased more than enough groceries for our Thanksgiving weekend to spend with our family in DC and other family members who drove into the city to spend the holiday with us. We had hoped to "send some groceries and leftovers home with the kids" but were unfortunately unable to do so due to the cockroaches.

The house was spacious and we liked that. It was somewhat close to downtown, however, not as close as we wanted. The 2nd floor has a carpet that needs to be replaced. Other than that, it was a nice experience. thank you

The advertising does not necessary match property . It really only 6-8 comfortably . The location was close to museums. The owner sent communication out after making many calls to get check in information. The owner did come fix something’s within 18 hours.. The air conditioning cooled place off marginally .We did enjoy being able to barbecue and wash clothes.

GREAT LOCATION BUT ISSUES WITH UNIT

We could not get the door open when we arrived and tried contacting the property manager with no call back for 90 minutes. Luckily, we finally figured out what we were doing wrong. We experienced bugs in the kitchen area which required another email (no number to call.) mUnit only had overhead lighting with lamps in only one bedroom. Could have used more towels, washcloths, etc. Had to borrow from those we were visiting. Give a 2.5 out of 5 at best.

Nice stay, just a small infestation issue

The check in was great. The house is really roomy and can easily fit two families with no problem. The beds and couches are comfortable and the amenities are more than enough. However, the morning after our first night in one of the restrooms we noticed a spot where a lot of house ants were kind of hanging out. It wasn't bad at first, but the next mornings got progressively worse. They got into my beauty bag that was left on the sink and into my toothbrush. Needless to say, I removed everthing from the countertop as quickly as I could. Not only that, but in the main living area and in the basement, we found a few roaches. The house is immaculate though and close to a lot of things. But they might want to check out that pest problem before their next guests.

House in Disrepair

This house is big and spacious and has a great layout for 7 people, the location is great, and the neighborhood feels safe. And the neighbors were friendly and welcoming. Those things were very enjoyable, but the house itself is run down. We were here 10 days from June 18th to the 27th, and experienced a lot of things that impacted our stay. Some were fairly minor, some made the stay miserable, and all of them are listed below. No doubt, if we had known about these in advance, we wouldn’t have stayed here. And suffice it to say, we won’t be staying here again. Short term rentals definitely have highs and lows…, good luck on your next adventure!-On every window - the blinds were either severely bent, broken, or missing. The screens on 2 windows were busted out (looked like they were kicked out), and there were no screens on 8 other windows.-There was no hand soap, shampoo, laundry soap, or even an extra roll of toilet paper.-The bath towels were so thin that they didn’t work (like 10 years old), and the towel racks in 3 bathrooms were coming off the wall.-The built-in microwave didn’t work, and there was a low-watt model on the kitchen counter. The refrigerator and stove in the basement didn’t work at all.-All of the silverware was dirty - even in the dishwasher. There were dirty clothes in the washing machine. The handle on the dryer door was completely broken off.-The tables and floors in the kitchen/dining area were dirty. Two of the bath r

The property was not as advertised. Zero hand towels or wash clothes. Bathrooms unsafe - no rubberized mats in bathroom showers, (slippery!) no bath mats! Back porch was no swept clean - leaves/bird crap everywhere! The ceiling was leaking in the living room. We entered the property to find the kitchen garbage can collecting the water. Not the worst thing, but a heads’ up would’ve been nice! And lastly, directing guests to install an app to work the TV’s, is absurd! We were there for 4 days and could not get any TV to work. Who should we have called to troubleshoot? And why should we have too? Why is there not a remote in any room? The property management company needs to do better managing this property. If they invested just one months revenue in upgrades, they’d have much better customer feedback.

Leak in the Living Room: This was caused by a small issue in the bathroom above and has since been sealed up with caulking. We wish we had known about it during your stay so we could have handled it right away. Cleanliness & Supplies: We’re addressing the cleaning and supply issues with our team. There absolutely should have been more towels, dish soap, and better kitchen prep. We’ve already followed up with housekeeping about that. Outdoor Area: The back porch should always be clean before check-in—we’re making sure that’s reinforced moving forward. We really do appreciate the honest feedback. Don't work with this company!

Spacious, Relaxing, 4 Bd 3.5 Ba Home In Petworth! Washington D.C. This has been a very disappointing trip and your house is very disappointing. There was no paper towel , one kitchen towel and not really any cleaning supplies for us to clean up after use. The microwave does not work, and the dishwasher is broke and leaks! This house was not set up or ready for a group of 10, not enough bath towels and wash clothes. The window AC units did not work because they were so full of dirt and dust in the filter, so we cleaned those, and then they worked. One of us stepped on a nail going downstairs on the stairs. The basement bathroom fan does not work, no hot water in the basement bathroom sink. The back door does not latch other than with the deadbolt. To say I am disappointed and mad about this VRBO is an understatement. They did bring us more of items that should have already been there, they did not respond to concerns about the price based on the condition we found the house. I would encourage everyone to avoid this company when in DC.

Very poor communication, only stayed 1 night before moving elsewhere

I had to reach out to the host the morning of checkin because we had not heard anything. I then received a very cut and paste generic message with check in details. Once at the home, I sent following msg to the host. We are waiting for resolution over 1 week later. Email sent:The pictures for the unit looked great, yet were very misleading. The wires hanging in the backyard look very dangerous, several of the window blinds are in terrible shape. The shower heads in all bathrooms were very dirty, leaving the experience of showering feelingmuch less clean than it should've been. The fan in the upstairs bedroom didn't work. The smoke detector in the living room is missing and ironically there are 2 unopened detectors under the kitchen sink. There is an odd sheet of plastic taped to the ceiling in the living room. There was a dental pick under one of the couch cushions.There was a hair stuck in the jet in the en suite bathroom. Several of the window screens were torn through. The bathroom sink in the upstairs hall bathroom drains very very slowly. The stairs were not the safest condition as the basement steps did not have a handrail on one side and the stairs to the second floor have a very low ceiling which several family members hit their heads on. The promised futon bed was disgusting and very worn down, thin and uncomfortable. The mattresses and pillows were very heavy and hard to sleep on, and sheets also felt very dirty to sleep under.

Tiny ants on kitchen island. Hardest mattresses I have ever seen, almost painful to lie on. 2 of 3 toilets needed fussing after each flush. 2 microwaves, 1 not plugged in. Skylight does not have shade and brightened room too much too early. 1 a/c window unit & fans. We were ok with temp & heating as outside temp was between 50 and 70 for our stay. Plenty of pillows, and some extra bedding. Barely enough towels for our party of 9 to live and have 2 or 3 shower each day. Needed to use silicone trivet as potholder. Cheap tp and papertowels. 1 chair had broken leg that needed a bolt. Nice quiet neighborhood! Even on weekend. 1 parking space in driveway, & we usually could park 1 on street, but you need actual parallel parking skills. Nearest metro is green line NOT red line. Walk straight down street to metro. Toilet running on second floor, woke sleeper in basement. Back deck small, but good for coffee & sun for 3-5. Expected soap & dishsoap. Did not meet expectations. I have stayed at 2* hotels and been more satisfied. However, I didn't have the VRBO app on my phone as I reserved via laptop. App would have increased communication with owner and likely solved a few issues. Couches fine, but wearing out quickly.

This place was not up to code

The packet with the door code that we were to receive the week before did not arrive until the Friday before we left. And that was after hours of telephone work. When we arrived the door code we were given did not work. It took two hours in the cold to get the front door to work. When we got in, there was no smoke detectors, or carbo monoxide detectors. They had been pulled from the ceiling and the exposed wires were showing. The front window was broken, and could not be secured. Upstairs, we could smell cigarette smoke, and marijuana. There was suppose to be keys to the back doors; They were none. The owners were unavailable. We called VRBO, and there solution was to give us a $100 voucher so that we could go to Home Depot, buy the smoke detectors, and come back and install them. After three hours on the telephone and discussion with several customer service people, VRBO agreed to put us up in a hotel for the night so that we could make other arrangements. VRBO made reservations, and we went to the hotel that they chose. When we arrive at the hotel, the reservations had not been made. It cost me $1000 for eleven of us to stay at the hotel. It was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had.

Sufficient stay for D.C.

Expected more upgrades from a property management company. Plenty of room for 10 adults/kids and 1 dog. Has a basement, mid-level & upstairs. Basement was finished but the kitchen area was non-functioning. Television Roku remote did not work(maybe batteries) so had to use mid-level remote. Washer/dryer also in basement. 1 small bedroom in basement & sitting room with a futon....Mid-level, the light was out in the kitchen, but there was plenty other lights that made up for it. Central air in the basement and mid-level worked good. Not as many kitchen appliances as most rentals that I'm used to(No toaster oven.) Small patio area on mid-level that led down to the trash receptacles. Plenty of rat sightings outside near trash bins, but it is D.C.,...Upstairs had 3 bedrooms. One with master bath & window A.C unit. Other end was a bedroom with 2 full beds & window A.C. unit. 3rd bedroom had 2 electric fans & a skylight. Amazingly enough, the window A.C. units & fans sufficed for upstairs. Temp was in the mid 80's-& 90's & we were comfortable the whole time. Bathrooms were outdated, especially in the upstairs hallway. Medicine cabinet looked like the mirrors would fall off and there were toiletry items left there from the previous renters. Took a while for water to run out of tub & pipes made noises. Not much street parking but area was really quiet & neighbors were very nice. Even took a late night stroll to the nearby park. This place will do if you're not looking for glamorous.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Where to start. At the beginning I guess. We booked this rental to stay at on our way back from NY to NC. We have a 8 month old baby so we broke the trip up. We arrived at the rental alittle after 4pm ready to relax after driving for 5 hours. First thing my wife notices is that the central air doesn’t work and it has 3 window units. We thought ok not horrible that’s fine we are only staying the night. So we get all them going to cool the place down because it was pretty hot when we got there. Next my wife goes down the basement stairs as in the AD it says the basement is included and shows pictures of it. Well come to find out alittle later here the owner lives down there. Again we thing whatever there’s only 3 of us plenty of room up here and we are just staying the night. Well next I need to use the bathroom and go in the one downstairs the half bath. Go to flush the toilet and it doesn’t work. Again think that’s ok we have two more bathrooms upstairs and just here one night no biggie. Then come to find out when we go to wash some bottles out from the drive that actually the place was NO RUNNING WATER. This is completely unacceptable. Call the numbers for the owner multiple times with no answer. As we are going to pack our stuff back up the cleaning lady just comes on in threw the front door not knocking or anything. That was fun. I guess she left her phone there when they were cleaning. We say something to her about the water and that is when she starts knocking on the basement door. That’s when we figured it out that the owner lives down there. No one ever came up tho. Needless to say we had to end up putting our baby back in the car and just ended up driving the rest of the way home. We are now trying to get our money back. This is our worst experience ever. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Kyle, we regret that you had issues when renting our property. The house at the time was rented as a 3-bedroom not including the basement. With regards to the water, our system works perfectly. This was the first we had heard of the issue and as mentioned the city was doing work, unbeknownst to us, and impacted the water system. We can't change your experience but hope that in the future you will let us consider creating a new one for you and your family. Lovely stay for our big family

My family (7 adults and 6 kids) really enjoyed staying at this property. Communication with our host was easy and clear. There was plenty of room and everyone had enough space to spend time together or alone 🙂. Location was really close to the main sites. Highly recomend this place.
