I didn't realize the property had 2 floors with all the bedrooms on the 2nd floor. This made it very difficult for one person in our party.Three of the bathrooms had no hot water.

Kind host, clear communication! House was great, lots of fun games and spaces to hang out. The hot water did run out fairly quickly, but that is our only area of improvement. Overall, we had a really good experience and would recommend to others.

We had such a wonderful time during our stay! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The host was absolutely amazing truly the best host we could have asked for. Annie answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly, and made sure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The place itself was exactly what we hoped for (and more!), and it made our trip even more special. We would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a great experience, and we would love to come back again in the future. Thank you for everything!

We had a wonderful stay at the house with 20 people for 4 days. The bedrooms and bathrooms easily accomodated all of us. There was lots of room in the dining room and living room area for everyone. The kitchen had everything needed and lots of space for cooking and serving. The pool table was fun for everyone. The kids went tubing just minutes down the road in Windham and the grown ups took time to explore the town and relaxe. Fun times playing games and having a great birthday party for our Dad/Grandpa. If you are looking for a great place to have a larger groip this house has it all.

On a positive note, the host was very friendly, cooperative, and nice. Host provided drinking water (water dispenser). Property well equipped with utensils/plates/coffee cups for a large group. Dining room albeit tight allowed us all to assemble for dining. Many items (such as salt/sugar/spices etc.,) were there - kudos to the hosts.Property is off of a main road and you'll hear the road noise at night. Also it is an old property hence shower water flow/temp adjustment isn't good. Stairs are tight, railings didn't feel very sturdy. We didn't have hot water for shower when we checked in but the host got it fixed quickly (thanks host). The tap water felt a bit salty (wasn't sure if we could use it for cooking), thankfully hosts had provided drinking water. It is very easy to install body shower/shampoo bottles in the property but this property doesn't provide toiletries or towels - it is a bit inconvenient, felt property management cringing on basic amenities compared to many other places we've stayed. The thing that bothers me (not just this property but other property listings sites also) is that we pay a fat cleaning fee, but host still gives instructions to take out the garbage, remove the bed sheets etc., Then why am I paying for cleaning service?Overall, positives are that the property supports large group but quality didn't feel justified the cost. It is possible that hosting site is taking a good chunk of the profit and the host may be feeling the pinch.

We’re glad you found us friendly and accommodating, and that you appreciated the drinking water, well equipped kitchen, and the space for your large group. We also appreciate your kind words about our quick response when the hot water. We do our best to maintain the home and update it while preserving its character. We take your comments regarding the stairs, railings, shower water flow, and temperature seriously and will review these areas. We also appreciate your feedback regarding toiletries and towels. These are helpful comments as we continue evaluating what amenities we can provide to improve our guests’ experience. Regarding the cleaning fee and checkout instructions, the fee covers the professional cleaning and preparation of the home between stays. Simple checkout requests, such as taking out garbage and removing used linens, help our cleaning team begin the turnover process efficiently and are not intended to replace the professional cleaning service. Regarding the price of the property- please keep in mind that VRBO assesses fees that we have no control over. Thank you again for staying with us and for recognizing the positives of the property.

My family (18 adults, 6 children, 3 dogs) had a wonderful stay. Plenty of common area space, lovely covered porch, large dining area for all of us, and everyone had their own personal space as well. Great kitchen and well-stocked. Owner met us at check-in and was responsive. Lots of local things to do, especially hiking.

Amazing property and location

My group of coworkers had an incredible weekend ski/snowboard retreat for the second year in a row at this property. Annie was a great host; very responsive and always helpful. The house is huge and well equipped, making it very accommodating for large groups. It is also down the block from Windham and a quick drive to Hunter, making it a prime location for skiing/snowboarding. Definitely recommend!

Great stay

We were a large group of 5 families celebrating Thanksgiving together, including many kids. House was perfect for us: clean, plenty of rooms and baths, spacious kitchen with brand new appliances, large table, transition areas between outside and inside, quiet location, fireplace. We went hiking in the Blackhead Range and playing at C D Lane Park. Annie was super responsive and helpful. Strongly recommended.

A wonderful place for a family get-together!

We hosted a group of 15 for a combination wedding-anniversary-4th-of-July reunion and A-Neils was perfect! The house had everything we needed. Heads up to bring towels, everything else is supplied, and all of the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor which worked out OK for us. One set of steps is steeper than the other. We had a fantastic time!
