Beautiful view - easy access to many locations. Shopping (grocery store too) and restaurants are close. There are plenty of beach towels and supplies - no need to pack much if the beach is your destination. Close to pool. Very roomy and comfortable. Would stay here again!

We usually stay much closer to town, in fact walking distance to everything. This location is maybe 10-15 minute drive, but we loved it. The property was very clean and well stocked. The view was amazing, you can see the night manta ray snorkeling lights and watch some terrible golfers (I say this because of the golf balls I heard hit the building off a tee). The property had everything we needed, though the coffee Grinder provided did not work, but management said they will take care of that. The times we reached out to the management (before and during our stay), they got right back to me. There were many beach towels, a beach chair (we also left the one we bought at Costco), a few pool noodles, a couple small coolers and some snorkeling gear. We used the bbq at the pool one night and did not have to wait. Beds were comfortable and the living area and kitchen were great for hanging out at the end of the days. We also talked to a few owners in the community while there and everyone was super nice. Parking was down stairs and like three spots away and you can see your car from the kitchen window. We also went to the local KTA and had a good experience. The Big Island is definitely our favorite and that has a lot to do with the people. If we could relocate, this island and area would be the place.

The location of this condo was great, nice area with a central location. The biggest issue we had is this condo is not fully air conditioned. There is a window unit in each bedroom and a small unit upstairs in the open loft area. There is no air conditioning in the main area. We were instructed to leave the back door and kitchen window open (and front door when we were there), which did not provide enough breeze to combat the heat/humidity. I stayed with my teenage boys and my 80 year old parents. It was uncomfortable for me, I felt bad for my parents. If you want actual air conditioning do not stay at this condo. The other frustration, I received a text message from the property management at 7:20pm on the day of arrival that we may receive a delivery of a fridge that night. I responded to please have it delivered asap as it was 10:20pm our time and we had been traveling all day. No delivery. We were contacted again about a second delivery which we said we were not available to accept. I received a phone message (3rd time contacted) at 7:40am stating Lowes would be delivering a fridge, 15 minutes later they showed up. There was issues with copper wiring, turning off water, the fridge had to be dismantled to fit. Apparently these were our problems to deal with. Otherwise, we had a nice trip but I wouldn't stay here again.

HAWAII FAMILY VACATION

Very nice condo. Beds were comfortable. Loft beds were very small for older children. Living space was spacious. Lanai was awesome. Kitchen was well supplied. Beach and pool supplies were appreciated, but the snorkel masks were broken. A/C in bedrooms was nice, but, main living space was very hot even with fans. The condo is in a great location.

Best Kona trip

Our Kona experience was wonderful. The vrbo was amazing. It was clean and had everything we needed. Air conditioning in the rooms was a life saver. Our family stayed for 9 days and it was so good to arrive and have a warm welcome. We will definitely book again in the future.

It's a good house for family of 6. Perfect location, close to beach, restaurant and shopping. Beautiful ocean view from the balcony. Very quiet neighborhood.

Great location but needs work

Starting off with the Pros. Cleanliness was great with nice fresh linnens. The condo was well stocked with beach items (umbrella, chairs, boogie boards, beach towels etc.). We enjoyed the three pools which seemed well maintained other than one of the three hot tubs. Excellent views of the golf course and ocean. Quiet and respectful neighbours. Lots of parking and close to beaches and shopping. Cons: for the price (and in general) we would expect more functionality. The AC was not good. The upstairs bedroom had none, and the AC in one of the main bedrooms did not work properly and made a lot of beeping noises all night. With regards to the upstairs “bedroom” there were no blinds on any of the windows and the beds are not suited for adults (very short twin beds). Appliances are dated, the oven never came to temperature and the door didn’t close properly. The fridge also could not keep food very cold. Bathroom door lock did not latch properly. Dishwasher would run for hours on end unless we stopped it ourselves. One of the taps leaked in the kitchen. The tight spiral staircase isn’t great for hauling up luggage. The fire alarm beeped and when we asked for it to be looked at, we were dropped off batteries. After changing the batteries the alarm kept beeping. Communication was still prompt from the owner but nothing was going to be resolved during our stay. This can be an excellent rental, we have stayed in a few different units in this building but this one needs some work.

Great Location and Just Enough

The condo unit was the perfect base for us to call home as we explored the Big Island for the first time. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. It is close to the best snorkleing spot on the island (Captain Cook), and centally located so you can venture to either side of the island. I highly recommend.

Great family stay

Overall a great stay & will gladly recommend this apartment! A couple of things to note that weren't obvious from the description; the 3rd "bedroom" is an open loft above the living room with no doors or privacy. We made it work but take this into account if your crew has sensitive sleepers. Country Club Villas are actually an apartment complex and this unit is on the third floor of the 3-story building. It has direct neighbors on both sides as well as below, but it was still very quiet and pleasant. Most noise comes from the adjacent golf course as they mow the lawns most mornings. Apartment shows age but it is regardless very pleasant and well-functioning. Kitchen is very well equipped, wifi was fast and reliable, and we were very appreciative of the beach gear (chairs, towels, umbrella, cooler.. even boogie boards and snorkeling gear!) available to use. Location is excellent for island exploration. Keuhuou shopping center has a supermarket, a drugstore and a couple of restaurants a few hundred yards away.

Kona beauty!

Perfect location for us with a fabulous view of the golf course and ocean beyond. Very close to a great beginner’s snorkeling beach, as well as Magic Sands. Premises are very quiet. Well-stocked kitchen. Management was responsive when we needed additional dishwasher pods. Only caution is that the upstairs twin beds are shorter than normal
was fine for my 5’6” daughter, but not for my 6’ son. Other beds very comfy. Loved that there were beach chairs, towels, small cooler, boogie boards available for our use.

Very comfortable and clean

This property was perfect for our family of 5. We were very comfortable and immediately felt right at home. It was lovely sitting on the deck and watching the golfers as well as admiring the gorgeous view of the ocean. We appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with tools and dishes, and that there was a cooler and beach towels/equipment available to use for our outings. The on-site pools were nice, and we used those a few times as well. Overall we would highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely love it!

We had an incredible stay here! We appreciated all the small gestures such as beach gear including towels, chairs and umbrellas! We had an amazing view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets each night right from our lanai! The host was great at communication and even recommended places to not miss out on while we were there! I highly recommend this condo especially for anyone traveling with kids or other family members! Great layout and perfect location!

Comfortable space, nice loft for children

We appreciate three sleeping areas for our family of 5. Quiet condo complex, we never heard any neighbors - some golfers during the day. Newer furnishings, some recent updates; there are some areas that can use renovating, but we can tell that the property has been well maintained. The property manager helped us problem solve something minor - he was pleasant and very helpful. The best thing was making memories with the family on the Big Island.

Overall good stay with great location

We stayed for two weeks at this condo. The condo complex was very nice. The neighbors were nice and it was quiet for the most part. The condo was mostly comfortable and it was in a good location. There was a nice strip mall across the street with shopping and restaurants for convenience. Locals selling fresh fruit and fish at the end of the road as well which we enjoyed. Check in was easy. The beds were comfortable. The condo is a bit outdated and the carpets could be changed out for laminate or tile for a better and cleaner look and feel. Only air conditioning in the two bedrooms and the one air conditioning unit leaked and made a horrible smell throughout our visit which was disappointing. Kitchen was stocked but could definitely use better knives and a pizza cutter and stove wouldn’t close completely so it took forever to cook in it. We had issues with the wifi but they sent someone to fix it the next day. They did have to have a plumber come and do normal maintenance while we were there but were given a gift card for the inconvenience which was nice. We had beyond beautiful views of the sunsets and sunrises from the large lanai so that was nice. For the most part we enjoyed our stay here and it was very nice for the price point. The experience of Kona was just too enjoyable to not love it!!!
