This spacious four-bedroom home in central Brighton is a 6-minute drive to downtown Brighton and easily drivable to all of the surrounding area’s beautiful lakes, nature & recreation areas, and also within a 25-minute drive of Ann Arbor, Plymouth, Northville, and Novi. With a huge yard in the back, along with plenty of parking, our home is the perfect spot for any gathering or getaway!

Our home has 3 bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor along with the kitchen and the living room. Our large outdoor deck is located off of the dining room on the ground floor has 2 picnic tables. Located in our finished basement, we have one bedroom, a living room with a ping pong table and large TV, a full bathroom, and a desk set up for work-from-home!

In addition to four queen beds, our space features two queen-sized pullout couches (one in the upstairs living room, one in the basement) and a queen size air mattress for extra guests. Plenty of extra linens and pillows are available to ensure groups of any size have a comfortable, restful stay.

99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:

We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.

We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

Parking

Located on a quiet side street off of Spencer Road, our driveway fits up to two cars with another three to four able to park on the road in front of the house.

Entry

The house is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door and on the side door. To access the house, enter the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock.

When leaving, enter that same code followed by the CHECK mark and the deadbolt will close. The locks will also auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock.

Our Availability

We are available whenever you need! Please feel free to reach out via the app or website you booked on with any specific questions. For any health emergencies, please dial 911. If a system malfunctions (i.e., hot water not functioning or a light has gone out), please send us a message on the app or website you booked on and we will be sure to address it in as short a time as possible (we usually respond within a few minutes). We also have handymen, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers with whom we work, so for any extenuating circumstances, we will happily bring them out to solve your issues post haste!

Extra Sleeping Arrangements

Pullout Couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!

Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate. You’ll find extra linens and towels in the pullout couch storage compartment as well.

Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, four pillows, a comforter, and extra sets of sheets and pillowcases for the couch and air mattress.

We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:

- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.

Getting Around

Our house is located in a secluded nook of Brighton, just off of Spencer Rd & Old US-23. We don’t have direct access to public transit, but Ubers and Lyfts do run regularly in the area and should be easily able to take you anywhere you need to go.
