This luxury Vacation Rental is our Large Octagon shaped two-story Private Home that is located downtown in the Heart of Steinhatchee. Tall Vaulted ceilings throughout the entire home. Your stay in the Octagon House puts your short boat ride literally minutes from the gulf with the best scalloping and fishing in the area.
The house is located across the street from our Brand New Deep Water PRIVATE Boat Dock on the Steinhatchee river. Which was Built after Hurricane Helene. This dock can accommodate multiple boats!
And has Large Fish -cleaning station.
A Blast for the entire family!

The Steinhatchee Community Center is right across street w/ Full Playground for children that is open 24/7.
Full Kitchen Amenities with Brand New Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator w/ Filtered Water in the door, Ice Maker, Microwave, Stove and New Dishwasher, Direct TV and Blue Ray Player in the Family room.

Each of the 3 Bedrooms also have Smart Tv's with Direct TV as well.

Our Dock is located directly on the Steinhatchee River on Riverside Drive with multiple boat slips, Screened porch w/Swing, as well as a Fish & Scallop cleaning station with water, Multiple hoses for washing boat and Gear,electricity for all your boating needs. The Boat Ride from our dock out to Deadman's Bay is just minutes away.

The Etheridge’s house is top notch!! The entire house was pristine & everything was so organized with no clutter! The location was also perfect! We rented a golf cart & we could drive everywhere on it from the house. PERFECT HOUSE & THE BEST LOCATION!!Definitely a family favorite of ours & we will be returning regularly!!

Everything was amazing! House was spotless, comfy beds, & well equipped kitchen! We had a blast in the downstairs game room & my Grandson loved the park by the house! Clara was excellent at communicating everything we needed to know about the property!

I do not recommend booking this property. The game room did not smell good and it was hot with no HVAC, only fans. The listing stated 2 Âœ baths—the Âœ bath is not private—it’s a toilet and sink behind a screen in the game room with no door and open on both sides. The host parked a boat in the unpaved driveway on the side of the house where we expected to park our boat trailers and told us to park our trailer across the street on public property. The three boat slips pictured on the listing were not all available for use—the host docked a boat in one of the slips. The host charged us 375 for damages after we left. She claimed we broke a rickety chair and for extra trash removal for a 4-night stay. The cleaner told us to call if the bins were full and she would pick them up—she never mentioned there would be an extra charge. She picked up the bins once while we were there and when we left the bins were full plus a couple bags that would not fit. After many hours of disputing the charge with VRBO and our credit card company, the charge was refunded.

Steinhatchee Scalloping

Great location it is close to the marinas/food. The private boat dock is great and very convenient. Spent our down time in the awesome game room and grilling! Host was great and check-in super easy.

So many amazing features with this house- beautiful layout, CLEAN, decorated very nicely !!, So well stocked with the necessary essentials! Great view of the river. The dock was fantastic and the Game room was a joy for everyone ages 73 to 6!! The location was so convenient for boating for four days!!

Awesome place

Great location and amenities whether you’re there for a fishing trip or just checking out Steinhatchee. And the host was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here!

Great property -great location and plenty of room

I stayed with multiple family members, sleeping arrangements were easy, and comfortable. There was great accommodations for entertaining upstairs and downstairs for multiple interests and a community playground right across the street. The boat house and dockage were easy to access and plenty of parking for vehicles and trailer, and even 1 block away from getting good breakfast and hot donuts too!

Steinhatchee scalloping river house

Wonderful location and awesome amenities. Beautiful, cleanly home. Hostess was extremely responsive. Our family had an great experience for our annual family scalloping trip. I highly recommend the Octagon House.

Wonderful time

We had a great time with our grown kids and grand daughter. House was amazing and the owners were wonderful. The owners were super helpful with early check in and any issue or question we had. Great location and we look forward to going again next year!

Nice home by Steinhatchee River w/ gulf access

The house was equipped with all ours needs. Our family loved the game room and it slept 8 adults comfortably. Owner was quick to reply and everything was perfect!

Fishing tournament

We were in town for a multi day fishing tournament. The home was beautiful and very clean. Perfect location, just down the street from the marina and all local restaurants. The golf cart came in handy not having to unload boats and tackle from the truck. We used the golf cart to get around to marina and restaurant. We had no hassles. The game room was awesome and we found we spent most of our time at the house in the game room.

Annual Guys Fishing Trip

This house was booked for our annual guys fishing trip. The house had plenty of room for seven men. The kitchen is well appointed and I'm glad it was. Due to the recent hurricane, the local eateries aren't back up and running full speed so we cooked at the house. The size of the house was perfect. Plenty of room for multiple vehicles and boats. Tom's of deck space and the dock easily accommodates three boats with room for another. The owner/host was extremely good with communication. Once we get next year's trip planned, we hope this place is available.

Annual scallop trip

Wow! This stay was amazing, the house was absolutely perfect for what we needed and the dock for the boat was perfect. We loved the game room (we might be competitive). This was the best scallop trip we have had and this was the 3rd year. We didn’t limit each day but we found plenty for us to enjoy. The short boat ride to the bay was nice with lots to see along the way. The house was super clean and super comfortable after a long day in the sun. We will definitely be back next year. Steinhatchee is such wonderful, quaint city.

Perfection on the river

Great house with amazing hosts. The house is just across the street from the boat house and floating dock. Always clean and welcoming. Downstairs has pool table, ping pong, and donkey Kong.

would not stay here again

I've never written a negative review in my life, and planned to address the issues we experienced directly with the owner, but upon departure and receiving a text accusing me of "taking apart the ice maker" (huh?) here I am. Throughout our stay the owner and property managers were aggressive in a way I've never experienced at any vacation rental. For example, upon arrival as we were unpacking, the property managers just showed up at the door, angry and accusing my husband of telling some other people (who the owner also rented her dock to with no mention of it to us) that they had to move their boat to the Sea Hag. My husband had done nothing of the sort and had to explain the little we knew as we had literally just arrived, then they calmed down. But ultimately, we felt unsettled after that experience for the rest of the trip. Another instance was the Direct TV was not working in two bedrooms. This was not a big deal, but I texted the owner to see if there was a fix. After spending time on the phone with Direct TV and not being able to get it to work, she texted me that I needed to have someone 18 or older there for a 4-hour window the following morning. I didn't respond to this text but thought that was strange and presumptuous as I was on vacation and not interested in waiting around for a cable guy. The final bizarre experience texting me pictures of the ice maker, which was broke upon arrival, and accusing me of taking it apart. Too much drama.

Great place and a great location. The children’s park was a big bonus for our boys and the boat dock was plenty large and convenient. Ample parking space was welcomed too! Very clean and pleasant home!
