CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: AMENITY CLOSINGS EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 27, 2025

SunDestin Beach Resort is currently undergoing exterior construction around the property. The indoor pool, outdoor pool, and on-site restaurant are projected to be closed until the beginning of January 2026.

Please be aware that construction activity may result in noise between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily. Our goal is to keep you informed ahead of time so you can make the most of your stay with us.

Parking in the main lot may be limited. Please note that the drive-through area at the main lobby entrance, typically used for loading and unloading luggage, may be temporarily closed. Each one-and two-bedroom condo is allowed one vehicle only. Any additional cars will need to park in the overflow lot across the street.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as the resort works to improve and enhance the overall guest experience.

Welcome to the SunDestin Beach Resort by Scenic Stays, the premier condominium in the heart of Destin situated on a private beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico! The onsite Scenic Stays team at SunDestin looks forward to welcoming you to your next beach vacation at our 24-hour front desk. The experience of a lifetime awaits! SunDestin Beach Resort features expansive onsite amenities including a newly renovated outdoor pool, indoor pool (heated seasonally), outdoor hot tub, steam room, sauna, outdoor tiki bar (open seasonally), workout facility, event/meeting space, gift shop, complimentary DVD rentals and much more!

Upon entry to SunDestin Unit 0211, you are greeted by a fully appointed, well stocked kitchen for home cooked meals or a quick snack to take to the beach. An open dining and living room concept immediately follow, with comfortable seating for 4 guests and a relaxing sofa and armchair set after a long day at the beach and pool. Sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico and the emerald waters welcome you from the living room and spacious balcony with seating for two. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and calming sunsets directly overlooking the beach!

Refresh every night in the comfortable king bed located in the master bedroom, while the kids relax in the queen sofa sleeper located in the living room. Enjoy the flat panel televisions located in the living room and bedroom both equipped with DVD players. DVD rentals are available in the lobby directly across from the gift shop!

Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.

Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

Relaxing vacation

Great location to restaurant, pool, and beach access! Our 2nd floor room was right next to the stairs which was more convenient than waiting for the elevator.

Great location, right on the beach, a little outdated but it wasn\'t bad. Had everything we needed. Everything was very clean except doors which is understandable with sand and salt. We love Destin and will be coming back soon.

Great Beach Location

We had a great view of the ocean. We could set on our balcony and enjoy the waves and marine life. The rental process was easy and so was the check in and out!

Great time!

Place is very outdated and needs some minor repairs. Great location and staff were very kind. Pelican Roost had wonderful food and drinks. Disappointed outdoor pool was closed for repairs and didn’t know it until we arrived. Beach and view are beautiful. Enjoyed our time there.

Relaxing week

A bit cool but hey…it’s February! Enjoyed our time there. Only issue was the cooktop elements. Two didn’t work but used the others and made it work for us.

Clean and comfortable

The unit was very clean which was great. The king size bed was super comfortable with 4 pillows and extra in the closet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We only left for dinner one of the two nights and ordered from the restaurant downstairs the remainder of our meals. Make sure to try and make reservations to the beach chairs before arrival to get a good spot.

One night

Loved this suite more than the one I booked and more than the one we ended our trip in. I think it was the way the furniture was set to where it may it feel more spacious. Super clean and love that I could see ocean from balcony. I like the upper rooms but wife doesn’t do well on elevators.

Bad Hampton inn

Other than the view from the balcony this was like staying in a bad Hampton Inn. Security guard treated me like a trespasser not a guest!! Followed me out to parking lot to make sure I didn’t park in handicapped space BECAUSE I DIDN’T BRING MY HANDICAPED LANYARD WITH ME FROM TN…..😳 You folks need to get management in line that people there are paying GUESTS not off the interstate 1 night Motel 6 guests!! Do what you like won’t be back and will post anywhere and everywhere a warning of what to expect! If you’re a property owner there get rid of the staff or expect to be the spring break 20.something venue as that’s all you’ll get……👎👎

Great, long weekend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in Destin. The Sundestin is a great place to stay. Everyone who worked there (guest services, the shop, the restaurant, etc.) was super friendly and helpful. I do suggest booking your chairs online in advance as we could not get a front or 2nd row. However, the 3rd row was still a decent view. The beach is absolutely beautiful - white sand and crystal clear water. The condo was very clean and accommodating. It is a little dated (popcorn ceilings, fixtures, etc.) but nothing that would keep us from staying there again. Laundry is $2.50 per machine so bring quarters. They have a change dispenser but it ran out while we were there. Our daughter loved the included DVD rental and watched a couple of movies while we were there. Uber was super quick for anything we wanted to do. The breakfast at the restaurant downstairs is amazing! We also ate Merlin's Pizza down the road and it was delicious. We will be back!

Older unit needs some updates

The condo was not horrible, but had a few issues. The faucet in the shower is way too old and hard to turn on & adjust, and the tub didn’t drain well. The fan vent in the bathroom didn't work very well at all. The TV console looked like something had been dripped down the front of it and not cleaned before our arrival. Overall, it was just an older unit that looked like it had seen better days. I honestly expected better for the price we paid. The property managers were impossible to reach via phone, so I just quit trying.

Great place!

Facility was well maintained. Indoor and outdoor pools and splash pad for kids. Ordered from on site restaurant which was good. Great location and convenient to dining, shops, grocery stores, etc. Unit was on second floor. Will stay again but maybe third or fourth floor next time. Staff was great. Courteous and friendly. The property doesn’t allow you to use your own umbrella so you must rent and chairs. The beach service was great and actually had chairs ready by around 7:30 every morning and available until 5. Would suggest renting for the number of days for your stay to avoid the daily lines. Great trip.

Location

Location was good. There were a lot of kids at this property and some did not have beach etiquette. Spent $600 on chairs and umbrellas for 5 days and the people who don’t pay for that camp out 1 foot from your chair with their 10 kids screaming and throwing sand and asking to sit in your shade from the umbrella. This happened every day we were there. Very in relaxing when your wanting an adult relaxing quiet visit. Over all it was ok and a good lactation. Great weather and nice people worked there. Hats off to the beach guys!!!!

Was just the right size for my son and myself. Short walk up 2 flights of stairs when the elevators were extra busy. Only disappointment was no washer and dryer in unit. Would stay here again.

Good for a quick, inexpensive trip

The pictures are very bright and airy, but I was a bit disappointed that the unit itself was not. I noticed the fridge stain that another reviewer left, the floors were a bit sticky, and there was a slight mildewy scent throughout. The bedroom window looks out into the hallway, which I didn’t expect. It was good for a few nights, but I don’t think I would stay for much longer than that. Pluses: The bed was very comfy, the view of the beach was great (overlooking the splash pad as well, but not an issue for us), and the building was very close to restaurants/stores.
