This was the perfect place for our fall break getaway. Everything was a smooth process! The only thing I would recommend would be the cleaning of the carpet in the master bedroom. Would totally stay here again!

Great getaway for a great price

The property was/is under renovation and was loud from time to time during the day if you were in the room but hey who goes to the beach and sits in the room. Easy access to the beach and great shops and restaurants.

Relaxing break

Everything was great.. but the kitchen wasn’t as equipped with cookware or utensils as others we’ve stayed in before. I called and they brought me a bigger and deeper pan with a lid and also some dish towels. Overall it was a great vacation and we’ll be back!!

The condo was very spacious and beautiful. Was very clean upon our late night arrival. The views are amazing! Extremely easy check in and check out process. The pool is a very nice area and beach was very easily accessed. Just a small complaint is the beds are not very comfortable, but otherwise, no complaints or issues. We will definitely be back!

Love everything about it except the shower heads. Very low pressure and the head had only one settin

It was awesome love just the short walk to the beach. They did have construction going on. But it didn't bother us at all. We were up before they even got there to get started. Then we were gone most of the day.

Close to the beach

Condo was pretty much the way the listing showed. The suction on the refrigerator doors is failing on the freezer and the refrigerator compartment. Might be due for replacement. In the master bathroom on the baseboard by the toilet, there’s water damage/mold. The carpet in the bedrooms needs deep cleaning.

Went for destination wedding

The place was overall great! It was large and spacious. We made a lot of our meals and really liked the large kitchen, which was fully stocked. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were spacious as well. We liked having a balcony with a view of the beach, which was a short walk down. There was a lot of construction going on, but that was already stated by the owner and it did not cause a problem for us. The only thing I would let others know is that the beach in front of the building is private and they do not let you bring your own umbrellas or tents. You have to pay for theirs if you want to have shade. We decided to go to a different beach altogether because we had brought all of our own gear and wanted to be able to use it without having to rent someone else’s.

Shoreline towers

We believe this condo was not ready for renting. Both bedrooms had stained carpets. The balcony doors had been replaced but there was no drapes to cover these doors and the hardware to the drapes was lying on the floor next to the doors. Walls next to balcony doors needed to be painted. The ceiling fan had not been installed on the balcony and was laying in the closet. One of the balcony chairs was broken.

Delightful accident

We came to stay at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort by accident. We had originally booked a stay at another RealJoy property, and due to an accidental damage at the place we reserved - we were traded and upgraded into another place. Already nerve wracking when using an unfamiliar booking tool, but all messages and communication were beyond wonderful and helpful. Communication regarding a minor issue during our stay also greeted with equal warmth and support. The Bahia unit was PERFECTION - gorgeously appointed, immaculate, and somehow even bigger than we anticipated. The balcony view of the Bay was amazing. Plus location/proximity to amenities was a big plus - we were but a few steps from the pool or the tram that would take us to the beach. The resort village has shops and dining and even a couple of bars that stayed open later. The grounds of the resort are gorgeous and very walkable. Check in / check out process easiest I have ever had - with both email and text messages, Real Joy made sure we never missed a thing. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer. 😊

Not worth the cost!

I do not like to review anything negatively, but this was the biggest rip off I have ever encountered using vrbo. Upon arrival, the guest room linens had stains and had a urine smell, which resulted in us having to do laundry immediately and one of our group members sleeping on the couch. Absolutely disgusting. I was so disappointed to find that this condo was not directly on the beach but a walk through the parking lot to get to the boardwalk to the beach. Our view from the balcony was a construction ridden parking lot with the beach off in the distance. It was also very inconvenient that the beach required us to rent their chairs and umbrellas everyday (no tents allowed!) and they picked up at 6:00 everyday. Some days our schedule didn’t allow us to go to the beach until later in the day, so $40+ to rent chairs and umbrella was a wasted expense. We were told upfront that there would be construction going on, but I was not prepared for the amount that was actually there…. It’s A LOT! We also got stuck on the elevator a few times and the wait time to get an elevator was sometimes up to 10 minutes. So disappointed in this place! It was way too costly for the quality of the place. If I could do it over, I would not stay there!

If you had let us know we would have brought fresh linens immediately. We will be investigating what happened with the cleaning crew. We regret that you were disappointed to find that this condo was not directly on the beach. This listing has at least 2 pictures of the view from the balcony of this unit clearly showing the parking lot in the foreground with the beach just beyond it. We're sorry you had to wait for the elevators. During peak season, there are a lot of people who want to visit our beautiful beaches. We hope everything else about your stay was great.

Location great, property management company horrible

We were supposed to be in a condo directly on the beach and at 9:30pm the night before I received a call that the AC unit was out and they needed to move us to another unit. We ended up off the beach and way farther down the road from where we were supposed to be. The unit was nice, but not as nice as the one we were supposed to be in and they didn’t offer any kind of credit/ refund or early/late checkout. We just basically had to deal with the inconvenience.

Great stay!

We enjoyed this property for its location, nice pool, adequate gym, beach, and view of the ocean. We had everything we needed there. Construction started outside our window and woke my teen son up two mornings, but otherwise the construction did not bother us any. Would definitely stay here again! Destin was a great destination!

The Property is out dated, the appliances are 2nd rate and the dishwasher and washer drier wet things is about all the King mattress had stains all over it and had to be cleaned Half the plates in the cupboard were dirty It has paint missing all over and un-working doors The towers are under construction which we were not told about prior to arriving and all they would do is discount the room, I did not want discount, i wanted piece and quiet, thats why we drove 7 hours to get here but we had to leave the balcony doors closed so the jack hammers did not drive us nuts I am Glad we came in the cheap time, i could not imaging pay way more for it in spring or summer then you would be really disapointed

Colin, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with some feedback regarding your stay thus far in this two-bed, two-bath Gulfview condo. Please accept our apology for the issues related to the cleanliness of this unit and for the construction noise. As mentioned on Vrbo and RealJoy websites, *Shoreline Towers is undergoing restoration work beginning in Fall 2021. Tower 3 walkways will be affected July through November 2022. Tower 3 balconies will be closed in a phase system July 2022 through March 2023. Balconies will be closed when work is being conducted and noise will be present during the entire phase. Dates are subject to change and dependent upon weather. * We hope the refund for the construction noise and cleaning issues has provided some sort of compensation for any inconvenience experienced. Great stay. Super clean. Some minor Maint issues (front screen door and table). Mentioned table and ok list to be corrected (wobbly). Would definitely stay again!

Nice but not clean

Property location was great had a great time but the main walk-thur floors was dirty the carpet needs to be deep clean our socks was filthy. Besides the condo not being very clean we still had a great time.

Birthday Getaway

We had a great time but there was a few things that needed attention: we had to clean the kitchen cabinets. It would be nice if they had low end pots and pans.
