On the beach! 3 br townhome @ Southbay by Florida Sunshine!


This fabulous townhome is the closest to the dune walkover of any at Southbay. It is less than 50 feet to our private protected beach! Yes, we own our beach at Southbay so there are never any access issues. It is so close that we don't even take a cooler, walking back and forth between our townhome and the beach for drinks, lunch and restroom breaks only takes seconds. We Include 2 beach chairs and an umbrella March 1-October 31.

It’s Freshly remodeled with 3 bedrooms with 2.5 baths, including a brand new for 2025 master bath that is expanded for maximum space. It even comes with a private parking spot directly in front of the door. There is plenty of additional parking for additional cars, just a little further away.

All 3 bedrooms are upstairs and the living area is downstairs. The beach is right outside the back door.

The dune walkover and the beach are right off the patio and are just steps away. No streets or even parking lots to cross! It’s grass straight to the boardwalk.

South Bay by the Gulf is a gated community and our beach is privately owned by the Southbay HOA. Beach access is restricted to just owners and guests. We have 2 pools, one about 10 units away and the other is on the north side of the lake. The tennis and pickleball courts are just across the parking lot from our front door. There is no longer a grill on the back patio. We have a park style grill in the grass now.

Pancakery, Chick fil A, Que Pasa and numerous other restaurants, shops, and attractions are within walking distance. We are in the middle of all the excitement!

Well behaved dogs are allowed after approval as long as they are house trained and do not get on any furniture.

Please tell us about yourself and your group when inquiring or requesting a stay. This is our 2nd home and we like to get to know our new friends. Neighbors on either side are full time residents.

Great Location

Great location and very close to local restaurants and attractions. The beach was only steps away and the kitchen had everything needed to cook breakfast or a full dinner if needed.

Great location and experience!

Excellent location, just steps from the beach. The Condo was perfect for our family of five. It had everything thing we needed. It was close to restaurants and local attractions. Lonnie was great to work with, it made the experience even better. I would highly recommend this property if you’re looking to be close the beach!

My family and I stayed here recently and had a good time. There were definitely pros and cons. Pros: great location! Easy beach access. Cons: the place did have several dead cockroaches, we ran out of toilet paper because there was only a roll in the bathrooms, and we also didn’t have many towels.We would definitely stay here again, just will be more prepared for what we have to supply ourselves.

That is a palmetto bug and they live outside all over Florida. They can fly and are attracted to lights. They die from dehydration if they get lost and end up indoors. Our instructions sent days in advance clearly state that we supply a starter set of paper products and that guest may need to bring more. 12 towels for 5 people is normally plenty. If everyone wants a new towel every day we supply a washer, dryer and detergent. You gave us 3 stars but It was nice enough that you would definitely stay again. After check out our cleaners gathered enough trash to fill 3 garbage bags and asked me to put you on the do not rent list.

Our first stay in Destin

Myself, my Honey, and a friend couple made our first trip to Destin! It was Amazing! The townhouse was perfect for a stay on the beach. Walk out the door and you are on the beach. We checked all of our boxes and were disappointed to have to go home.

I’m not sure what this means because we were told that everything was great during our periodic check ins. I have to guess that Kim is referring to all bedrooms being upstairs but we are very clear about the layout in our description.

Great stay in Destin!

We had the best time in Destin, even with the weather and double red flags! This home was perfect for us, and was SO close to the beach. The owner, Lonnie, was very easy to reach when we had questions. The complex was so nice and quiet. We can't wait to return and stay here again!!

We stayed in this condo for one month and it was wonderful. It is clean, well equipped and very close to the beach. The beach is beautiful with sparkling white sand. The owner is quick to respond to your questions or requests. You will enjoy your stay here!

This property had an excellent location for beach access and parking! It was perfect to come and go to the beach and around Destin. We loved having the beach set up as well- this is a huge perk! The one con worth mentioning is that there is no hair dryer to use!

Perfect spot

We love staying in Southbay and this unit is right at the bottom of the short boardwalk to the beach. You can sit outside and listen to the waves. Fit our family perfectly.

We had an excellent time and would HIGHLY recommend this property and the hosts. Property was family friendly and you could see the beach from the upstairs back bedrooms. Walk to the beach was super quick and the home was pet friendly and very cozy. The home was very clean, very spacious, and worth every penny. The beach attendant (Taylor) was so nice and helpful and just made our beach experience that much more pleasant. The location of the property is also very convenient to everything in Destin. Would highly recommend the Pancakery restaurant right outside the property entrance. Neighborhood was quiet and the people were all very nice. Host was very easy to talk to and work with, made the trip stress free and checked in with us to see if anything else was needed. Excellent trip and excellent stay!

Great beach 50 feet away. Unit is close to the gazebo which is a great place to have your morning coffee. Great flooring (no carpet) Walls are a beachy color (not dingy paint). Great owners to work with!

Amazing Trip

Our group had an amazing time. The unit had everything we needed plus more. The main reason I booked this trip was for the proximity to the beach, and didn't disappoint. Pour a cup of coffee, walk out the back door and in a few steps you are looking at the sunrise on the beach. We will be back next year if they will have us!

Beach days

Overall we enjoyed the place. Floors downstairs not as clean as I expected them to be but I gave them a good mopping and all was good. The beds are a little hard for my liking and the master bed could be larger but I’m used to a king size bed. The owners are absolutely amazing though and made this stay all worth it! Would definitely stay here again. They made the entire stay so nice. We were right on the beach and the beach set up was amazing. Definitely worth the stay for sure.

We’re glad that y’all had a great stay. We try our best to keep the sand outside but it’s everywhere and it gets tracked in very easily. We would love to add a king bed but our experience is that the room is too crowded so we have to stick with the queen. Y’all are welcome anytime!

Great Stay

If you want to maximize your beach time this is a great place. We were only there a few days but it was perfect. About 50 steps and you’re on the sand. Find your complimentary chairs and umbrella and you’re set for the day. Apartment was as described and great for us. We will look to see if their schedule fits ours next time we go to Destin.

Easy beach access

We loved staying at this property mostly because the beach access was so close to the property. We would stay here and recommend again. The only thing we didn’t like was that to get front row access to the beach you had to rent an umbrella and two chairs for $40 per day. You cannot go in front of the company’s rental chairs to sit. We brought our own chairs and umbrella so we had to sit behind them. Other than this the trip was was great!

Great Location!

The condo is as described. Check-in was easy, the condo had everything for cooking and eating in. Location was fantastic, you just walk out the back door and it's 20 steps to the beach. The TV had streaming services which was nice at night for the kids. The only concern we had were the beds, as they were very uncomfortable and need to be replaced. You are in the heart of Destin, so getting anywhere in town is easy. Grocery store and shopping across the street. Beach was beautiful and everyone in the complex was very nice. Tennis courts were great. Communication with owner was excellent.
