Kayaker's & Bass Fishing Paradise! Dogs Welcome!

Peace and comfort awaits, while being centrally located to numerous springs. Just a short drive in any direction will take you to some of the best springs Florida has to offer!

Head south to Crystal River and Homosassa for kayaking, snorkeling, manatees, scalloping, fishing, biking and fabulous local eateries. 15 mins west on Hwy 40 is the Yankeetown boat ramp to launch into the Gulf of America. Head 15 mins east to Dunnellon for nearby hiking, biking, kayaking on the Rainbow River, restaurants and shopping. Devil's Den and Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens, in Williston, is a short 30 minute drive north, as is Cedar Key.

Home features include: 2bdrms (1K/1Q), custom bathroom, sunroom, screened porch with griddle, large fenced yard, 2 doggie doors, firepit, WiFi, Roku sticks on all TVs, fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, boat parking, covered carport, reading nook in the sunroom, and bird feeders for bird watching from the screened porch.

Your dog is more than welcome here! We just ask that they be housetrained. No teething puppies, please (2yrs+). There's a doggie door from the kitchen to screened porch, and a doggie ramp to the backyard. Perfect for senior dogs that have a hard time with stairs. 2 dogs allowed with non-refundable $75 pet fee. For 3+ dogs, additional fee of $25 per dog. Prior permission required for more than 2 dogs.

Great Nature Coast cottage

Very clean and comfortable house! Had everything the humans needed and the yard set up was perfect for our dogs. It does seem like you're kinda far away from civilization when you're driving the road to get there but really it's only about 8 minutes to gas stations and 15-20 to boat rentals, scalloping tours, grocery stores, restaurants and fast food, ect. It was awesome!

Very dog friendly

Our Brittany learned doggie doors immediately and made our stay very enjoyable as she loves to be outside. It was very relaxing to us that she was very safe in the fenced yard. The squirrels, birds, salamanders, and deer kept her very occupied!

Restful!

The home was homey and comfortable, great sleeping. The rate was reasonable, but the expense was almost double with all the add on fees. Location and cleanliness was remarkable, loved the firepit outside. We Floridians played tourist and experienced mermaids and manatees, along with trails and outdoor beauty. It was a great 4 day weekend, appreciated the recognition of my birthday celebration.

Perfect place to relax!

We had such wonderful time during our warm holiday vacation which was made perfect by the Nature Coast Escape! Every thing about it was great for us. It was nicely sized for 4 people, clean, and well appointed with all we needed for comfort and liveability. We especially loved the screen porch for outside sitting for morning coffee and evening relaxation while watching our dogs happily playing in the securely fenced yard. We also loved the location that was away from the crowds yet an easy drive to all the fun things to do at the Nature Coast. We definitely recommend.

Will definitely be staying here again!!

Not one complaint. Very clean. Had everything we needed, even for the pups, and then some. Great area, nice and quiet. Beautiful back yard and awesome cooking amenities. We will most definitely be staying here again and honestly didn’t want to leave this! 10/10 would recommend.

Great getaway spot

What a wonderful little house in the woods. The house could not be cleaner or more well appointed. It has everything you need to have a wonderful time. Great place to decompress and get away from the hustle and bustle of life. I plan on going back soon!

First time in Inglis, Florida

Very thing was as advertised! The house was nice, quaint, and had everything i could need or want. No problem signing on to WIFI, all instructions were very clear.The owners were very nice and fast to respond to any need I had, and there weren't many. My Golden, Skye, LOVED the house and the fenced in back yard. There were a lot of new smells and the owners even left her a bag of treats! I have already booked my second trip!

Christmas magic

We stayed at Christmas. We entered the house to see a Christmas tree up and presents for my husband, me and our dog. It was very clean and comfortable. The rooms were a nice size and fenced in backyard was perfect. We will definitely be back.

weekend dive trip

The property is located between Dunnellon and Crystal River. Which was great for us. We did a dive trip to Rainbow River and had a great time. The property was as listed and very clean. We would use them again for sure.

Peaceful Plus

If you are longing for a peacefilled and comfortable stay, this is it. The backyard setting is beautiful for mornings outside listening to birds singing and nature all around. And the location is perfect for taking in all activities in Dunellon, Crystal River, Homasassa Springs and surrounding areas. We found plenty of day excursions. Hosts have thought of everything possible to make the stay feel like home. Also accommodations wonderful for dogs..House clean and very comfortable.

Five star weekend! My partner and I rented this property for the New Years weekend and we absolutely loved it! Our hosts were very quick to respond to all my booking questions, the house was perfectly clean and the backyard was perfect for our dog. She even left treats for us and our pup! Great getaway

My husband and I stayed for a quick weekend getaway. I wish we could have stayed longer. The kitchen has so much storage and counter space. The fire pit was all set with dry wood in it, and plenty of wood to burn piled nearby. TV was easy to figure out. Owners were responsive if I had questions.

Quiet Paradise

My husband and I stayed here with our dog. The listing is 100% accurate. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. At night you can see every star in the sky. The master bed was great for my bad back. Nice and firm. The fenced in back yard was great and our dog loved the doggy doors. We would definitely be back.

Beautiful home in the country

We stayed over the 4th of July holiday weekend (Friday-Monday). The morning we were heading over I got a text from the owner allowing us to check in early, which was a great way to start. We arrived, check in was easy, and found the home clean, and ready for us. They left brownies for us and treats for our pup! The house was well appointed and very comfortable throughout our stay, and centrally located between Crystal River and Dunellon. I can't say enough good things about our stay in this home, and the wonderfulness of the owners. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to use VRBO in this area!

Wonderful Scalloping Trip

From beginning to end we had a wonderful experience and stay. The owner Susan was responsive and super kind. The home was clean and had several amenities that made the stay even more comfortable than expected. Dog towels for your pup, fire pit in the back already prepped for an enjoyable night around the fire, pleasant and friendly neighbors, hose access for washing down your boat and dog doors for easy access for your pup to the home and screened in backyard porch. Down the road is a Bird Creek boat ramp and it is much less congested than the Crystal River boat ramps. Great stay overall! 5 stars all around!

Wonderful stay on the nature coast!

We had a lovely stay at this home! The home was clean and Had lots of space for us! There was fenced backyard for our dogs, which was very nice for them The neighborhood was quiet and on a quiet street We loved going to the small park at the end of the street and watch sunrises and Watch the water birds.. A definite bonus was was the Follow That Dream Road nearby and we highly recommend watching the movie with Elvis Presley for free on their Roku! You can drive right straight past the movie location right to the Gulf and see the prettiest sunsets ever! The location is wonderful for anybody with the boat as there is the boat ramp nearby and the Gulf of Mexico is accessible at the ramp at the end of the Follow That Dream road! Susan and Scott put together a binder with lots of information about food and places to go in the area! Just wonderful! We highly recommend the grouper sandwich at the Blue Gator in Dunnellon Enjoy your stay!

Loved our stay at Nature Coast Escape

The Nature Coast Escape house is perfect! Spanish-moss-covered oaks welcome you as you pull into the unspoiled neighborhood. The layout of two separate relaxation zones (sunroom in the front and screened porch in the back) was a definite plus for our family. There is plenty of space and storage, top-notch appliances, television with Roku in each bedroom and living room, and a well-appointed kitchen (we wanted for nothing). The entire house was clean, nicely decorated and comfortably furnished. This was the first trip we took with our dogs and it couldn’t have gone better. A doggy door in the kitchen led to a screened-in porch with another doggie door and ramp that led outside to a spacious fenced-in backyard. Both dogs had plenty of space to explore and roam in safety. We were pleasantly surprised when a stroll around the neighborhood guided us to the nearby lake with picnic tables. Perfect for sitting, relaxing, and watching the wildlife! Hosts Susan and Scott provided a binder full of activities and attractions in the area to explore. The binder also contained plenty of restaurant recommendations, places to shop, and they were quick to answer any questions about staying at their lovely home. If you’re looking to avoid crowds and soak up the natural beauty of Old World Florida and the Nature Coast, this house gives you that with nearby hikes, trails and parks. It’s centrally located to explore other nearby towns, each with its own unique charm and vibe. We visited Crystal River, Dunnellon and Homosassa, all just a short drive away, and then returned home to enjoy the quietude. If you enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, snorkeling, and fishing, the Nature Coast Escape house is the place to go to be one with nature. We saw manatees, dolphins, bald eagles, ospreys and a mother otter and her babies while fishing for sea trout in Crystal River. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing First Experiance

The accommodations were clean, roomy, and aesthetically pleasing! My father said he slept better than he has in years. The dogs ( Bonnie and Stevie) enjoyed the backyard and doggie doors. The neighborhood was peaceful and quite. The hosts could not have been more gracious. Wonderful experiance. Would do it again. Thank you Jenny!
