This home is beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. Very spacious. Kitchen is the highlight of the house it’s gorgeous, spacious and friendly. The bedrooms are comfortable. The man cave is very comforting and family friendly. The home is in a great locution around a lot of shops. This home is a must stay.

Everything was great! The Mansion is Amazing! The pictures don’t do it justice this house is beautiful and has so much character ! The back yard views out looking the golf Course is so Serene. I will definitely be staying again in the future. And the elevator was just the topping on the Cake! Man Cave Out Cold!

This home was absolutely amazing! Seven women who went to Nursing School together, grew up in Detroit and surrounding communities and have been friends for almost 60 years decided to revisit the Big D. Your home was the perfect gathering place and so close to downtown and all the sites we wanted to see. The bedrooms/bathrooms were clean and comfy, the kitchen stocked with every utensil, dish, pan, spices, wine glasses, etc. that we needed, and the family room so comfy for early morning and late evening hangout! And then there was the sunroom and patio, that backs up to the golf course. So quiet and peaceful. Book your family or group now!!You won’t be sorry!

Large but Cozy

My family had a great time. The home was accommodating with cozy spaces for relaxing or reading and entertaining guest. Restaurants and site seeing are close by with plenty to do and see. Very nice bnb for any occasion. I would come back again.

Great family get together

We had a wonderful time in Detroit. Terry’s place was perfect for our stay. Great location with of an expansive view of the golf course from the big kitchen that was a gathering place. We also had room to spread out and enjoy the many amenities. Our host Terry was quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommended.

Beautiful and very spacious

This was my 2nd time staying in this beautiful home. The man cave is outstanding. I love this house because it can accommodate a large group comfortably and very clean. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Great location, everything is within a short distance. Terry is an excellent host, he explains everything so well that you don’t have to ask him many questions.

Great House!

We had a great time staying here! The house is large and can easily accommodate a large group comfortably. The man cave is outstanding and was our favorite part of the house. The kitchen is well equipped and allowed for a great meal to be prepared. The neighborhood Islamic of homes at various stages of renovation. And let’s face it, it’s Detroit, so this street is great, but a few streets over are not. The only disappointment of the house was the room that is pictured in the listing but has signs all over saying it isn’t for use.

I take issue with a couple of points is the review. Firstly, my home is in one of the more exclusive communities in the city. I can’t control what goes on in other communities or with other people homes. Secondly, it is flat not true that a pictured room is off limited to use by guests. The house is over 7000 square feet with 15 rooms plus 5 bathrooms and only TWO rooms aren’t for guests to use. NEITHER of those two rooms are pictured in the listing. Net, every room shown in the listing is for available for guests to use.

The property owner is responsible and responsive. He was available to receive calls and troubleshoot problems. The problems we encountered during our stay were significant and needed property manager attention.Our ability to use the property was delayed by four hours after the authorized check-in time of 3 pm due to cleaning delays. Additionally, the living room and adjacent seating cannot be used by guests so the entire house is not fully accessible.The "Man Cave" a key feature of the property, was not functional. The projector input was not working, and the seating is worn and needs repair and/or replacement.The property is in a beautiful location and has a great view of the Detroit Country Club. The outdoor area is well-maintained and attractive.The bedrooms are good size and the beds are comfortable. The shower equipment needed repairs. Several of the shower heads were loose and needed adjustments. One of the devices in the back bedroom was misaligned.The Jack and Jill bathroom lacks door locks so privacy is an issue when staying in the adjacent rooms. We were told to store the trash in the garage because there was a problem with the hauler service. There was prior guest trash stored so the odor in 80 degree weather permeated adjacent living areas.It is a wonderful space with lots of potential. Given that the property is marketed as "luxury" we had elevated expectations that were rapidly deflated by our recent experience.

Large home with many unique features

The property was well located midway between downtown Detroit and the northern suburbs - which made it easy to venture out and back. The house itself was really great - plenty of roomy and comfortable private bedrooms and baths, great spaces to congregate, modern kitchen with all the best features, formal DR and dinette, fantastic home theatre room, an elevator and more! The owner was super responsive and helpful. The house was very high tech too - with Alexa to help. A really great place for a family to decompress and share time together.

Wonderful stay

We were in town for our matriarch’s funeral services and the home was the perfect place for our family to be together throughout the weekend. The home was impeccably cleaned, spacious, well decorated, and still very cozy! We recommend this home and would definitely stay again. Terry is a great host.

Honestly this home is better in person than it is online and it is beautifully captured in the images. The home is massive yet warm and inviting. It is centrally located to everything yet nestled in a beautiful neighborhood. Terry is a wonderful host in every way. We didn’t want to leave our vacation here.

Beautiful and Spacious

We originally booked the property for a small wedding but rescheduled to an inside venue at the last minute because of weather concerns. My co workers and I decided to stay on the property and it was by far one of the best decisions I have made. The home is huge with a working elevator. Very clean. The host was very responsive. The outside patio overlooks a beautiful golf course and the kitchen oven can easily cook for a large group. I would highly recommend this beautiful property!

Couples Weekend

While we had less than stellar conditions - the whole neighborhood was without power for most of our stay - Terry was very accommodating & patient while we figured out what we needed to do. We ended up staying anyway & still had a great time. The house is old, but I mean that in the best way; I love all the character it had that you don’t get in new homes. It was clean and we felt safe. The neighborhood is fine, just not a ton around, as far as restaurants or shops, etc. But everything is within a short drive. We would stay again & I definitely recommend getting the Man Cave with your rental! I’m bummed we didn’t get to hang out there much!! Thanks Terry for being a great host!

I've traveled to more countries than I'd care to remember, but I still enjoy exploring new places. I'm a host using my US homes in Detroit for Airbnb when I'm not there.
