❁ Welcome to NM - The Land of Enchantment! Stay here while visiting Carlsbad for Caverns or for work! Relax in a peaceful, lovely and very safe area. Nice central location yet away from chaotic tightly packed Carlsbad neighborhoods. Just walk to Pecos River, rec area + short drive to water park! LARGE comfortable KING beds in every bedroom and TVs. Central AC, washer and dryer, coffee and basic cooking amenities.

THE SPACE:
❁ Spacious home just steps to Pecos River, beach area and many playgrounds!

GUEST ACCESS:
❁ All areas are private to the guests.

GUEST INTERACTION:
❁ We are always available day or night, just send us a message!

Visiting Carlsbad Caverns

7 college buddies stayed here while visiting the caverns. Sleeping arrangements were great. Nice tvs in every bedroom. Easy to find house.

The location of this property was great, and there were a few positives during our stay. The beds were comfortable, the TVs were large and worked well, and the WiFi connection was reliable throughout the house.Unfortunately, the condition of the property itself was very disappointing. The home was not clean upon arrival, and it appeared that basic upkeep and maintenance had been neglected for quite some time. Several areas were dirty, and the overall condition did not match the listing description or photos.The furniture was also very different from what was advertised online. Many items appeared worn, outdated, or poorly maintained, making the property feel misleading compared to the expectations set by the listing.There were also multiple signs of deferred maintenance throughout the home that affected the overall experience. For the price paid, we expected a property that was cleaner, better maintained, and more accurately represented in the listing.I would recommend the host update the photos and address the cleaning and maintenance issues before future guests stay here. The reviews from 3 years ago are still accurate only the conditions have greatly deteriated which makes me reconsider using VRBO due to such inaccuracy in listing being allowed.

Sketchy bedbugs

We didn't hate our stay here, but we didn't love it either. Three of our kids who all slept in one of the bedrooms, got bedbug bites. We've had the unfortunate experience of dealing with bedbugs in our own home many years ago, so my husband and I recognized the pattern of the bites when we saw them. It's been two weeks and the bites are still healing. [Note, we had three kids in one room because one of the rooms was too spooky for any of them--the sheer "curtains" let just enough light through that they could see outside at night...scary.] The house was a bit run down, despite efforts to update it. There were several sloppy wall patches here and there, sloppy paint job throughout, etc. Everything was functional, but it all felt slapped together. Also, there's no dishwasher. I should have noticed that on the listing, but I guess that's something I just take for granted. There was a washer and dryer in a shed attached to the back of the house, but no laundry detergent provided (and no doorknob to get into the room with the washer/dryer--just pull hard on the hole). There aren't any pictures of the yard in the listing for a reason. The yard is full of sticker weeds which we accidentally tracked into the house and then would find the stickers with our bare feet in the house later. Ouch! All of that said, we were reasonably comfortable there and felt safe. It's a nice family neighborhood with parks nearby. It's close to the main part of town with restaurants and Walmart. And close to Carlsbad Caverns which is why we were there. There was a cute cat that apparently lived in the front yard, so the kids liked that. But I wanted to give others a heads up about the condition of the place. If I had to do it all over again, I'd opt for a hotel.

Good place

Good place to stay and overall. Beds are very comfortable and plenty of sleep places. Host is very responsive.

Diverse travel and living experience from multiple major cities (NYC, Chicago, Denver, etc.), exotic regions, to back country simple lifestyle. Enjoy rapid pace as well as moments to slow down and enjoy life. Well conversant with amenities and exposure of luxury hotels to basic traveler needs.
