Amazing location! A few short blocks to the Beach, enclosed playground and deli/grocery. The property is a 1st floor unit with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a beautiful porch for relaxing. The back patio has a grill for bbq’s after a great day at the beach. The kitchen is fully equipped to create your own meals.

Krissy was great! Very responsive and the condo was clean and close to the beach. My family had a wonderful time! We would definitely go back :). Ocean city is a great family town and the beaches are amazing.

Perfect June Week

Property was even nicer than it looked in photos! The beach was close, loved the basketball courts nearby and the owner stocked the house with paper towels, garbage bags and toilet paper. We had a wonderful week!

Great place for our short stay. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Plenty of kitchen equipment and great water pressure in the shower!! Any communication with the host was very easy and the host was extremely accommodating and kind.

We stayed at this condo for 2 months while locating a home to buy. Krissy was very quick with all responses. Location can’t be beat!

Great area a few down sides though

Stay in OC was lovely as we are very familiar with the area. The house is in a great location and had our overall needs. A few down sides were, only one shower worked efficiently, there was only one usable “beach chair” and we were a family of five going to the beach daily and the neighbors upstairs are ver very loud. At times it was awkward:(

Basic beach house. Close to beach in quiet part of town

House could use a little TLC to get it refreshed. Lacking in glassware and mugs, light bulbs missing, vent cover in bathroom missing. Nothing that impacted our stay, but small items that detract from the house. The owner Krissy is very responsive and did go out of her way to assist us when we needed to stay past our checkout time due to a car issue.

Perfect for us

We stayed here in August 2023. It was perfect for us. We are not fussy people so the reviews about the property not being "update to date" with new appliances or bathrooms were not part of our decision to rent this home. The porch was absolutely lovely and we enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the porch. It was great to see the evening parade of people headed to the Ice Cream shop two blocks down (very good homemade ice cream). The beds were comfortable and having a washer dryer made my life so much easier. This was our first time bringing our dog on vacation and it was wonderful. Ollie (our dog) enjoyed the porch and watching all the people and dogs go by. I would definitely stay here again.

South End Gem

Very beautiful, quiet home at the shore. We loved the location and definitely plan to reside here again. This home is the true definition of a “shore home”. It has everything you need to cook and clean up after yourself. It’s well maintained and I appreciate that the owners have made some upgrades but kept a lot of the original features. It’s simple and that’s all we needed. I read some of the negative reviews and these people are clearly expecting the Ritz Carlton and truly have no clue that shore homes are there for you to just eat, sleep, and enjoy the beach town. If you have more than 2 people in your party, bring some extra toilet paper and paper towels (but that’s common sense!) 😊

Overall a great stay, minor issues

Had a great family vacation with good weather and fantastic location - walkable to Corson's Inlet which we recommend doing at least once for a wonderful beach day. When we checked in we would have appreciated a "Welcome" letter from the host describing different things we would benefit from knowing (i.e. there was no mention in the VRBO description about beach tags included and we didn't find any in kitchen/dining room, we had trouble operating the TVs which weren't the usual smart TVs we were used to, when trash days are during our stay). We are very down to earth people and it is a dog friendly stay so we were not expecting anything fancy but I was surprised at the main bedroom & shower (very few outlets for all the electronics, no overhead light/fan, small shower in need of a new shower curtain). Overall the stay was perfectly fine and we had a nice week.

Would have been a poor experience for a family!

Location is at the end of town …very peaceful. BUT…The bedrooms, if you brought a family with you were terrible there were no spread/comforters on four of the six beds. The double and the king had no mattress protector on them either. Host indicated that the last renters left with the bed linens. She said she would ship something by way of Amazon, but that never showed up. She did provide a partial refund, but the inconvenience of not having a properly prepared rental was just lame.You would think Cleaners would indicate to a host the condition of the house before the next renters would come through. I had to empty the dishwasher of clean dishes which in my book is cleaning up after the last renters. No kitchen towels or sponge or enough paper towels to wipe down counters. No trash bags in any of the trash cans or under the kitchen sink.

Pictures Don't Show True Accommadations

1. VRBO description noted that there was a grill. There was not. Owner said it had been stolen the week prior but no effort was made to replace it. We were there for 2 weeks. 2. Kitchen needed updating - microwave handle was actually broken off. Ants in dishwasher; barely able to open stove. Toaster oven was old and dirty; pots and pans were old and rusted. 3. No access to shed to put beach chairs, tents, etc. 4. Front porch and area by outside shower were filled with sand and shells and we had to clean those areas. 5. Personal items were left in bedroom drawers-mold on a toothbrush that was left and mildew on shower curtains; food left in cabinets; toilets were not secured to floor. 6. No welcome kit or instructions left. 7. No recycle can was left in kitchen. 8. Chipped paint on ceilings from prior water damage.

Debra, We are sorry to hear about the issues during your stay. The replacement Weber grill is available for use as well as a new microwave and kitchen pots and pans. We’ve provided a lock for guests to use the storage shed for chairs and beach items.

Disappointed

The weather was great and the location was good with its proximity to the beach. Listed as 3 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. Unable to use one bedroom due to the overwhelming mildew smell! Our pregnant daughter-in-law began coughing and sneezing after spending 2 nights in the room (disheartening & embarrassing)! The grill, which we planned on using, had only 1 burner working, was low on propane and it was very dirty with no cleaning utensil! The outdoor shower, which is essential, was not functioning properly and in poor condition. The refrigerator should have been cleaner. The bathroom door in the primary bedroom would not shut, causing a lack of privacy. There were no hooks in the primary bathroom. We were unable to hang towels, etc.! We were not able to watch local TV channels, due to there only being a "Peacock" package (kind of ridiculous)! A major safety concern is that there were at least 2 spindles on the porch that were broken! This was very concerning having a dog and a toddler with us! As previously mentioned, the major health issue was the mildew saturated smell in the first bedroom! As far as we are concerned, we had a 2 bedroom place, not 3 bedrooms! This was a major inconvenience and we payed more than we should have!

Great OCNJ Southend Rental for Family with Dog

Good southend first floor unit for a family with a dog. The owner, Krissy, is really great and very responsive. Unit was very clean and within 2 blocks of the beach. Only major complaint involves the group of girls who reside on the second floor; half way through the week they showed up and were extremely loud and obnoxious. When I asked them to quiet down at 9pm on Wednesday night, they took offense and intentionally banged on their floor, played music, etc whenever me and my 3 young kids would return from the beach or Boardwalk.

Fantastic!

Our family found this home upon our arrival freshly cleaned and welcoming. The adorable front porch was one of our favorite things about the home for having our coffee in the morning. The rooms were comfortably sized, the kitchen was well stocked with pots pans and whatever else we needed. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and the living room had comfortable seating as well. The location was ideal and quiet. We really loved everything about this home and hope to return in the future, as well as highly recommend it to others interested in staying here.

Good location, needs updates

We got lucky finding this place just a month before we went. We love the location at the south end of OC. Beach is 2 blocks and there are some little shops and takeout places just a block away. The house is nicely furnished, but old, and we had some issues with items that need fixed or updated. Garbage disposal was not working, microwave door handle had been broken and glued back on, tub drain needed drano, really dim lighting in the bedrooms, and various other small inconveniences. The weirdest thing was that there are no mirrors in the house other than the bathroom medicine cabinets. Makes it really hard to put sunscreen on or get ready to go anywhere. This would be an easy fix, so hopefully they will get some mirrors. The last thing I’d mention, in case it matters to someone booking, is that even though there are TVs in every room and “live” TV available on Peacock, there is no way to watch the Phillies on the TV in this house. Overall, the house met our needs for a last minute booking, and the owner was nice and very responsive to my messages. I would not stay here again, though, unless everything was updated to be in working order.
