Lake access-Hiking Park-Hot Tub-Peaceful view of the Lake-Hill Country Therapy

Relax cliffside amongst the treetops! Sip your morning coffee with a peaceful view of Canyon Lake! Cliff Hideaway Butterfly house rests atop a gently sloping, tree filled gorge. The home boasts large deck that peeks over the surrounding canopy of trees and elegantly frames the view of the lake. Sunsets here are a must! The home features 2 master bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Additionally, there is a small twin room which is best suitable for a child! we have not stuffed numerous beds/bunk beds in our bedrooms. The house will accommodate 6 guests very comfortably. Perfect getaway for 1 family or 2 couples.
Activities include hiking (just below property), technical lake access, fishing, bird watching, boating, river tubing, and so much more! The Horseshoe of the Guadalupe River is 15 min away. Gruene Hall is about 25 minutes away and a great place to hangout for a day.
Canyon Lake is accessible from this property by way of a 2-3min hike through the park. It is a beautiful hike with many opportunities for great photos. However, due to the ever changing footprint of the gorge, we do urge our guests to exercise caution.

The entire house is upstairs. There are 21 steps to get to the entrance of the home. Then the house is on one level.

We may or may not be there during your stay for maintenance and landscaping but will be a text away if you need us.

Great place to stay

Really enjoyed our time here. Great outdoor areas to relax and just enjoy. Quiet neighborhood and the house is just wonderful. Beds super comfortable and slept well. One of my best friends went with me to get out of town for my birthday and couldn’t have asked for better weather and accommodations. Couldn’t turn the gas on for the grill (knob too tight to turn) so ended cooking our steaks in the oven and they were still good. If you’re looking for a great place to visit this is a great find. Highly recommended.

This home is definitely a 10/10. The view from the balcony is amazing! Quiet and peaceful atmosphere with great amenities. Definitely will be back. Highly recommended!

VEry comfortable stay

Stayed 3 nites without any surprises. Purpose was merely rest and relaxation. Very quite location. Plenty of extras with rental (although we chose not to use some) very clean and host provided great check in getting us settled with detailed instructions. Would recomend as good choice. If you can’t negotiate steps/stairs you might check further with host first. We are definetly considered senior citizens and were able to use steps with no problems.

Nice home and great views

We loved the view from the deck! Lake access was not easy but once we got down there it was beautiful. Bathrooms were great and the large kitchen was great for cooking and eating with our big group. We also loved seeing all the deer each day!

Spacious vacation rental with nice outdoor space

We spent 3 days here. We went to Gruene one day , hiked around the Canyon Lake Gorge, and just relaxed on the porches. There were only 2 of us so we had lots of bathroom space. Easy access to the unit and everything was neat and clean. This is not a rental for you if you have any trouble with stairs. The entire indoor space is upstairs. The stairs are pretty steep and although there is a sturdy railing it’s not easy to hold into if you are short like me. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Perfect Getaway

Great vacation rental! The unit is upstairs, however the 21 steps are nice and wide and include sturdy handrails. The hot tub is on the ground floor, but is covered and positioned for privacy. The upstairs patio is partially wraparound and offers great space to sit and relax if using the gas grill. The kitchen is FULLY stocked with full size appliances. Nice open floor plan between the living room and kitchen with plenty of seating for multiple people. This place even boasts 2 master bedrooms. We had an excellent stay!

Beautiful on the inside and out

This rental was decorated beautiful. The furniture was cozy and it was warm on cold nights. We stayed in January. The view was spectacular from the house and the fire pit. The hot tub was so relaxing and great for the cold, cold temperatures. I would recommend this property for sure!!

Great Get Away!

Property was exactly as described. Our two grandchildren loved the Harry Potter bedroom which was just big enough for the twin bed. Was furnished with just about everything you would need. Owners are extremely nice and very prompt with responses to questions. And yes, you can actually see the lake from the deck without any gymnastics moves. Great place. We'll probably be back. Thank you for sharing your house with us.
