Yearly Beach Trip
The home fit our family size of 16. 8 adults and 8 children. The pool was adequate in size. Smaller than the pictures made it look, but adequate and well protected from our small children. The bunk room was nice for the kids but not so nice for my wife and I who were in the master suite located next door to the bunk room. Talking and wall banging became an issue every night and every morning. We had a flying ant infestation in the master suite every evening during the entire trip. The first couple nights they would die from the insecticide. But then they started crawling on the bed, walls and ceilings in the master suite bedroom. The exterminating company came and sprayed again and a worker came to caulk the windows. More dead ants for a couple of days and then they came out crawling in the bedroom again. The exterminator stated that they only swarm for a few weeks per year. I guess we picked the wrong date to rent this particular home. They couldn't find how they were getting in the home. My wife did not sleep well because of this in the evenings. The less crowded private beach area was a plus and the lake being a short walk east was great for the kids to swim and play in during double red flag days. The kids had a lot of fun catching crabs and fish in the lake and visited it daily.
