Ready for warm sunshine, tropical breezes and lush landscaping? Spaniard's Retreat is the ideal location for your get away. This home is set in the charming Old Florida neighborhood of Cape Haze. Old banyan, fig and pin-oak trees line the picturesque streets where homes are spaciously placed. Upon entering you will be greeted by the panoramic sliding doors overlooking the heated pool and spa. This truly feels like a private oasis. 3 bedrooms and 2 and a half baths offer generous accommodations. The split floor plan offers privacy with a center of the home gathering area. Cooks will be delighted as they prepare meals overlooking the beautiful pool and spa. The location is close to Boca Grande with world class fishing, outstanding beaches and a local private airport for those flying in. This is the kind of place where time slows down, nature is easy to appreciate, and the beverages are cool. Come and experience Spaniard's Retreat for yourself.

Wonderful house in beautiful location

This house is even better than the photos. Designed so that almost every room has a view and access to the beautiful patio and Pool & spa area. Quiet neighborhood among beautiful homes and canals. Great location - We visited beaches and state parks along Manasota Key, Gasparilla / Boca Grande, sights in Fort Myers, and took a day trip to the Everglades. Had an incredible day escaping the crowds by kayaking to Don Pedro State Park and enjoying that gorgeous beach accessible only by boat (HIGHLY recommend SUPEnglewood. Great value and fantastic customer service) This is a great Gulf Coast vacation home!

Nice Home, But Not Heated Pool

Overall this was a lovely home.. But I did have some issues and have contacted the property management first before I wrote a review. This home is advertised as a heated pool and spa and electric over 250 would be my responsibility. Which is fine, however if you advertise a heated pool in January, then it should be heated when I arrive since it does take on average 72 hours to heat up. The pool was a balmy 71 degrees along with the hot tub. The hot tub had a timer on it which would time out after about 3 hours and dump water into the pool and we would have to start all over again heating it up. We did babysit it one evening and we used it, which I did tell the property manager that we were able to use it the but babysat it. We are a family of 6 and my kids are adults now and it would've been nice to use the pool & hot tub daily. If I had known this issue I would not have stayed there. The expense of flights and the stay, I would have paid extra for a heated Pool! I stay in rentals quite a bit and don't mind paying extra for a heated pool. So don't advertise heated if it is not heated for me when I arrive. I understand the timers, but Not when occupied. Another complaint that I did have was in the check out it stated any loads of laundry over 3 would be charged 10 a load. ??? seriously 4 beds and 6 people. What am I paying a cleaning fee for? FYI for another renter to inquire on the heated pool during the winter months. I was not pleased & would not stay again

Very, very clean. Host was available by phone and in person when we had questions. Only negative for us during the month of February was pool was on the least sunny side. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
