An Oasis on Ostrander Lake!

Our clean, modern cottage is located on Ostrander Lake in the heart of Michigan’s Hiawatha National Forest. The cottage features two bedrooms with one having a queen bed and the other bedroom having two twins. There is an inflatable mattress that would be great for an adult or a couple of small kids. AT&T is the only cell service in this area but there is wifi. Super fast 150 meg fiber optic internet. There’s a large deck overlooking the lake with a propane grill. All linens are included. There is no additional cleaning fee!

During the summer months bookings are limited to seven days with Check-in/Check-out on Saturdays only.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is comfortable, clean and well stocked. It was perfect for our family of 4. Kids had twin beds for individual sleeping (but in the same room). The lake was great. I kayaked mornings and evenings just about everyday. I the owner allowed us to kayak across the street in the enormous chain of lakes (very cool). Close to Munising (approx 20 mins) and convenient for exploring west (to Marquette), east (to Soo locks) and south to Indian Lake/Manistique.

The listing doesn’t do it justice

Amazing property that is a vacation destination in and of itself. Super clean and comfortable and better stocked than my home. Comfortable mattresses make the stay even better. The pictures are nice but truly don’t depict how fantastic this rental is. Its remote location is a great jumping off point to all the local sites. Ostrander lake is great for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. The owners were easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We are already planning our next trip to the U.P. and hopefully to this rental.

Wonderful comfortable stay, with all the amenities and more. This place met and exceeded all our expectations. The home as everything you need and things you didn't even think about. The host really makes you feel welcomed. You are close to the sights of Pictured Rocks, but get to return to a the tranquility of the lake. Even though it was cold and rainy the home is so comfortable and well appointed we didn't mind. Will definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

Late summer getaway

This cozy, spacious, well stocked house sits right on Ostrander lake in Hiawatha Forrest. It really is lovely and a beautiful spot to enjoy the out of doors. The owners are great!! We enjoyed our stay!!

Beautiful Oasis

Cant recommend this place enough! Absolutely beautiful house on the water. All the amenities of home while on vacation. Keith is an awesome host who went above and beyond. Hands down the best place we have ever rented in the U.P.

Family Vacation

This is the second time we rented this property and again it was truly amazing. The house is beautiful on a lake with paddle board, kayak's for us to use which is amazing. The kitchen is amazing and we loved to cook many meals there as well. The set up of the house is great with windows overlooking the lake, a nice eating area, nice size living room and bedrooms were perfect. We were a short drive to Munising which was nice which allowed us to plan adventures at Pictured Rocks. There is a cute little general store near by also where went to get ice cream. The owner is so accommodating and helpful. My family enjoys this property so much great place!

Fall Getaway

The home has an amazing cabin feel inside. It literally has everything you could possibly need during your stay. Fishing poles, kayaks, paddle boat, sauna, fire pit, grill, etc. to keep you busy! The lake was beautiful and the scenery serene. My only criticism is the amount of noise - lawn mowers, leaf blowers, chain saws, 4 wheelers - for being surrounded by not many properties. It was actually quite surprising.

Summer Vacation

The house was amazing! It was just a perfect house the kitchen was incredible( we cooked there almost every night). The view from the deck was beautiful and was great to sit and grill and enjoy watching our two boys fish from the pier. The lake was perfect, clean and perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding and we even fished a little. The hosts supplied us with everything we needed and they were great. Our entire family said this was the best vacation they have ever had and the house, the lake we were on and everything that was provided at the property made it that way. Thank you so much for letting us stay in this beautiful home and enjoying the lake.

Family vacation

I vacationed with my 3 teenagers here in July. The house was immaculate and there was plenty of space. The decor was tasteful and everything so well taken care of. Everything was in working order. The kitchen was amazing. There were too many kitchen gadgets to mention. The yard and lake were awesome. My teens had an amazing time fishing in the kayaks and boats. Keith was wonderful to work with and so helpful with suggestions of places to eat and things to do. He responded right away to questions I had. We had not spent much time in the UP before and we really loved it there. It was quiet and peaceful yet there was enough to keep 3 teens busy and happy with enough comfort for downtime as well. We would definitely vacation here again.

Gorgeous Home with the Perfect Location

I stayed here with my wife and two daughters, however, the home is perfectly equipped for a large family as well! The quality was incredible... the kitchen had everything one might need, the location of the home itself was perfect in regards to hiking trails, the lake was SO much fun, and the bonfire was perfect for hanging out after a long day of hiking! The host was super helpful and made this stay very enjoyable! Wish we could stay the whole summer :) Thank you!
