Pros/Cons – Review
This is a tough review to write. We have stayed at Pelican Isle Condos for over 12 yrs now. Each time a different condo. I will highlight the good 1st.
When entering the condo on the 1st day we were very pleased. It was clean and had amazing space. The condo itself has great decorations and a fully stocked kitchen.
Pros- Clean, very comfortable beds, living room furniture comfortable, kitchen well stocked (has air fryer also), condo is updated, beautiful tile, countertops, kitchen appliances, new 2 chairs and high top table on the balcony, 1 very old table n chairs on the side balcony
Con- For the 1st 4 days, we had a rotten egg smell in the water in the condo, in the kitchen, and the shower/bathroom sinks, screen doors did not work on the balconies/ shower water pressure was very low, one other miner suggestion would be to provide kitchen disposable dish towels.
We did reach out, (we did get a response quickly), and we were told that just happens sometimes being by the ocean. We have never had this smell in our 12 yrs at other condos at this same building. We had some food we had to throw out because we cooked with the water and could not eat it (it smelled). We were told to boil our water. We boiled water every day. Then on day 4 the smell slowly went away. We think no one had been in the condo for a couple of weeks and water needed to be ran in the pipes.
We would have loved to open the sliding door with the screens and enjoy the ocean sound also.
