CEDAR KNOB - 2 bdrm/2 bath, screened patio, wood fireplace
Welcome to Cedar Knob
A lovely 2-bedroom, 2-bath cabin located in Townsend, TN, just outside of the Laurel Valley Community.
Cedar Knob sits on a private road shared with only three other cabins, offering a peaceful and secluded setting where guests can relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Spend your mornings or evenings on the screened-in porch, now featuring a propane fire table, perfect for cozy conversations or simply taking in the fresh mountain air. You might even spot a momma bear and her cubs wandering nearby!
The cabin welcomes you with a cathedral ceiling and a beautiful stone fireplace in the great room. Comfortable seating surrounds the flat-screen Smart TV (with YouTube TV) and wood-burning fireplace, creating the perfect space for family movie nights, sâmores, and making lasting memories.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare hearty home-cooked meals, and the dining table seats six, making mealtime simple and enjoyable.
On the main floor, youâll find a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed, TV, dresser, and sitting chair. This level also includes a full bathroom with an extra-large walk-in shower, vanity, and commode, along with a laundry room equipped with a full-size washer and dryer.
Head upstairs to the loft, which now features a full-size bed and dresser, providing additional sleeping space and comfort. The second bedroom on this floor offers another king-size bed, TV, dresser, and chair. A second full bath with a standard tub/shower combo completes the upper level.
Outside, youâll love the brand-new deck designed for outdoor dining and relaxation, as well as a charcoal BBQ grill â perfect for cooking out and enjoying the peaceful mountain surroundings.
Cedar Knob is located in Townsend, Tennessee, on the peaceful side of the Smokies, just minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Youâll be about 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge and another 10â15 minutes from Gatlinburg, with endless opportunities for zip lining, horseback riding, river tubing, hiking, and sightseeing nearby.
Whether youâre here to unwind or explore, Cedar Knob offers the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and Smoky Mountain charm.
We do not accept pets in any of the cabins without specific written approval from management. Only those dogs that have specific and formal training as a SERVICE dog will be allowed in our cabins. Emotional support animals are not accepted.
IMPORTANT: Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check-ins or outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day
Check-In:
*3 pm - there is NO check-in office, you go straight to the cabin
Check-Out:
*10 am - Please follow our checkout guidelines.
Fireplaces:
*On During: October 1st - April 1st
Common Concerns:
*Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins requires a 4-wheel drive under normal weather conditions, but some do in inclement weather.
*TV & WiFi: We do have TVs and WiFi in most of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.
*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies, and these little buggers are attracted to heat, meaning your cabin and every other one out there that is warm! They will swarm to the cabin, and you'll probably see them alive/dead on windowsills, in vents, etc. Rest assured that your cabin has regular pest control and is professionally cleaned, including bug removal, before and after your stay. However, these bugs come back right away, and unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about them until the season passes. Please never feed, taunt, or approach any wildlife. This is their home, and we are the visitors.
*There are no refunds for storms or power outages. If there is a power outage, there will be no water and potentially no heat. Storms can also make roads impassable, so if a storm is in the forecast during your reservation, come prepared with water and non-perishable food, etc.
