Excellent location! Everything was perfect. Condo had everything we needed. It even has a washer and dryer which isnt listed in the amenities. Perfect for our fam of 9. Will definitely be back!

Perfect location- hassle

We love staying on okaloosa island. This property is located right in the middle on the beach side. We love going walking through the neighborhoods in the mornings to get our exercise in. It’s conveniently located in proximity to Destin where it’s just a short drive over to enjoy good night entertainment and restaurants but don’t sleep on downtown ft Walton either.

Great Beach Experience

Even though there was a hurricane in south Florida we were blessed with awesome weather on Okaloosa Island! Very pleased with the rental, the pool and great Beach access!

It was great. I suggest bringing more towels. The washer and dryer is not in the room and you have to pay 1.75 for washing and drying your clothes. The comforter and sheets could’ve been cleaner. They comforter was stained I took it off and used a blanket we had in the car. I would not stay here again just because there is not washer and dryer in the room. You only get 2 garbage bags so bring extra

Loved layout of condo inside & outside great proximity to private pool & beach. Wonderful being able to rent chairs & umbrella ready for us daily! Many thanks also for the multitude of beach toys for the kids to use during our stay

Great place for a large family

Our stay at Emerald Isle was great. This was my first time using vrbo. The credit card fees are 3%. If we stay at Emerald Isle again, I will try to book directly through them so I won’t be charged vrbo fees. The pictures of this condo do not do it justice. It’s 2 condos put together and it’s HUGE! The floors and one of the beds had sand on them. It’s expected because it’s on the beach, but housekeeping should have done a better job cleaning them and washing the comforters. Everything else was clean except for some scuff marks on the white walls. We did get stuck in the elevator for about 10 minutes. We used the call button in the elevator to call for help and they got us out pretty quick. The elevator was slow and could be upgraded.

Great place to stay for a bigger family.

The condo was well furnished and exactly as pictured. We had 4 adults and 3 older teenagers and there was plenty of space. Complex is on the ocean but unit is just ocean view from patio. So the balcony looks over the tennis courts we read the description so knew this and it was fine there was a great ocean breeze on the 5th floor. The management was very responsive to questions and needs. We were very pleased with our stay and I would recommend it for larger families. Beach was beautiful!

Bachelorette Weekend

Highly recommend staying here, the pictures do not do it justice. Tons of room, great location, easy check in/check out. Came for a bachelorette weekend with 8 girls and we all slept comfortably and had no problems getting ready between the two baths. Very quick walk to the beach.

Stay

The condo is nice. Basic cleaning. Fixtures and baseboards dirty. The building is gulf side but the condos are not oceanfront or views. Also, we planned to use the pull out couch but were not able to since there were no sheets and after contacting the management they didn’t care to make sure we got them so, plan on one less bed then they state is available.

Thanksgiving Break

We had a wonderful experience at this condo!! Just steps from the ocean, huge living areas and beautifully remodeled. Well stocked kitchen and the entire condo was spotless! Highly recommend this condo, especially for large family groups. Can’t wait to come back!

Nice condo but there are issues

We have been staying at the Emerald Isle complex for years but this was our first time in this unit. Check in was easy and the layout really is great. It worked perfectly for our group (5 adults, 3 kids). The cleaning service they use does a terrible job though. Both the bathrooms still had wet/dirty wash clothes and used shower caps hanging in them, just disgusting. When we went to cook breakfast the next morning there were dirty coffee cups and greasy/food covered plates in the cabinet, along with dirty utensils in the drawer. Not knowing what was and was not cleaned properly, we ended up just washing everything we used before we used it. I also thought the kitchen was not very well stocked. It has the basics for cooking, but there are no containers for food storage and I had to drive to the store to get a can opener of all things (I donated the can opener and a couple of food storage containers that I had to buy). There were also pop-tart pieces on two dining room chairs. All of this was communicated to the property manager and all we got was "sorry for the over-sight," no offer of a second cleaning. I felt given the amount they charge for it, they should have refunded or cleaned it for us again. The next issue we had was all but one of the wall outlets in the kitchen went out half way through our trip. We were using the coffee maker and griddle on separate outlets one morning (both are provided at the condo) and it must have tripped the breaker. We communicated that to the manager but didn't hear back until much later, asking if someone came by. Shocker, no one came to fix it so we were without power to most of the kitchen for most of our stay. I did try to find the breaker box but it must be in one of our their locked closets. You really have to wonder how well this unit is cleaned and maintained given the issues we had. It seems ridiculous to me that these basic "over-sights" happened given the last two years of hyper cleaning and sanitation the whole globe has gone through. Overall this unit is in a good place with a great layout. Just plan accordingly if you decide to book.

Room is very nice, but



The room is beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice. However, it was not clean at all upon arrival. There was sand everywhere along with hair, lint, and a cockroach the size of a small mouse under one of the beds. We expected some sand since it is the beach, but this was unreal. We swept up a ton of sand and then the floors we so dirty underneath that your feet were completely black on the bottom within 5 minutes of walking on them. There was no extra trash bags for the trash can, we had to buy our own. There was no extra toilet paper in either bathroom and 2 rolls with 8 people is not a lot. There is a wagon to use for hauling things to the beach which was a huge plus. We enjoyed our stay but I would seriously look into the cleaning process and see if it can be reconciled quickly. The listing says washer and dryer but they are not in the room, they are at the end of the hallway and are pay to use. That is not stated clearly at all in the listing and is kind of deceiving. If you have a large group or small children that may be an issue. The room is updated well and is nice, location is good and view is good with 2 balconies that can see the water. If they take care of a couple issues this will be a 5 star room without questions.

Beautiful getaway!

Gorgeous area. Everything just as listed. Quick contact back. Great location and nice quiet section of the beach. 2 families stayed here and we all had a great time. The bunk bed room was perfect for the children to all share and be together. Beautiful views from the balcony. Close to everything but yet away from all the hustle and bustle that comes with vacation areas. Will definitely be back.

Clean, spacious, great location condo

We rented this to share with 3 families. And had plenty of space. It doesn't list it on the site but there was 2 chairs an umbrella and wagon for the beach. There is also board games for at night. You can see the beach from both balconies. Plenty of kitchen tools for cooking plus grill tools for going to the grill. We all enjoyed our stay and would rent this unit again.

Wonderful rental

This is a beautifully renovated condo. Two master suites and the bunk room with 4 beds provided plenty of room for our family. The unit is very clean and well-stocked with basic needs for a week-long stay. The description doesn't specify so I overlooked the fact that there isn't a washer/dryer in the unit. There is a coin-operated laundry on the same floor and convenient to the unit. We would rent this unit again!
