Great location, great stay!

Having the choice of the heated pool and hot tub or walking 2 blocks to the beach was perfect, and the proximity to good shopping and restaurants was great! Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect for just the two of us!!!

Cozy spot for 2! My Wife and I enjoyed the ample space for the pool and lounging in the back yard by the pool. 3-minute walk to the beach. On a dead-end street, so traffic is minimal. We enjoyed our week in this house:)

Spring Break

This was exactly what we were looking for as a small family who loves to be in the pool! The pool, hot tub and back yard were fabulous! You can also walk down the street to the beach!

We come to 30A every summer. This is a great property. Comfortable for our family of 5. Perfect location. The backyard and pool are fantastic! Fast response and communication with owner!

Amazing stay!!!!!!

This was our 2nd time to stay here. It is under new owners. The place was wonderful. We love the location as it is a short walk to the beach and we love the pool. Debbie had it heated well. Its in a quiet neighborhood. The only complaint I have is I felt Debbie was slow to respond and didn`t communicate well. I say that as a minor complaint. We would go right back next week again if we could. Thanks again Debbie for allowing us to stay at your place!!!!

First, let me start by saying we had a great time and the location was fabulous. The ease of getting to the beach made for a perfect beach getaway. That being said, we were incredibly disappointed by the state of the house after how much we paid. In my opinion, there cost was not worth it and we wouldn’t stay here again. It’s clear the home was once well cared for but has fallen to disrepair in almost every aspect. The biggest concern was how dirty everything was. I literally kept a washcloth by my bed to wash my feet before getting into bed. There was filth on everything: walls, showers, furniture (couch is disturbingly in need of a cleaning. We had to put a towel over the cushions), kitchen cabinets, appliances. There were too many broken, overly used items to count but some that stood out: broken toilet flush handle, broken patio step, coffee maker has years of grime build up, vacuum is broken, dryer has to be run 3x to dry. Without a vacuum we were left with a filthy broom and broken broom pan. I would highly suggest closing the home to renters for a week and doing a top to bottom clean. Without this, I would certainly not recommend anyone stay here.

We have stayed at this property before. It’s currently under new ownership and it’s definitely obvious… The communication is absolutely terrible! We were unaware that the pool & hot tub were not working correctly. I contacted Debbie and it took 2 days before she responded. I kept getting told someone was coming to address the situation, but it was never fixed. Fortunately, she did refund us immediately for the spa and heating fee, which I appreciate! The ice maker didn’t work. Black mold was all over the bottom of master bath shower. Other than that, we had a great vacation.

Dirty House but Clean Pool

Our stay was less than ideal. The location is great, but we were greeted by three cockroaches immediately upon entering the house. Communicated to the hostess asking for some help with the bugs, she didn't reply until 4 days later when I escalated this to VRBO. By then I had seen two more cockroaches in the kitchen, one being in the dishwasher that had just run and was supposed to be clean. Also upon entering the property, there were hair clumps all over the floor and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. By the afternoon of day 4, the host told us she'd refund us the last 3 nights of our stay if we vacated the property the next morning. We agreed and left the property the next morning and now she has ignored all phone calls from VRBO and me with no refund as promised. I have attained recorded phone calls where she agreed to refund and will pursue this till it is resolved. Attached are photos of just some of the hair clumps I had to vacuum upon arrival, cockroaches and nasty rotten flooring in the hall bathroom. The hostess has even refused to refund a cleaning fee. I understand this property backs up to woods, but maintain the property on the outside and don't let foliage touch the house and bug problems are GREATLY reduced. The bottom line of this is that the hostess did not offer resolution until after 4 days and escalating to VRBO and now she's ghosted us after agreeing to refund the remaining nights, which was the premise for which we left early and drove the 8 hrs home.

This situation is a clear example of someone attempting to take advantage in hopes of receiving a free vacation. From the beginning, the guest’s complaints were continuous and unfounded, immediately wanting refunds from the VRBO service fees to the cleaning and the property itself. VRBO ultimately refunded their service fees, and the guest chose to stay. However, once it became clear that no additional refunds would be granted and I requested that he vacate the property, he eventually left—only to continue harassing me afterward with nonstop calls. At that point, I had to escalate the situation to VRBO for direct involvement, which is exactly why homeowners pay service fees—to be protected and supported in such situations. No homeowner should be subjected to this kind of behavior from a guest. It creates unnecessary stress and fosters distrust in a process that should be simple and respectful on both ends. As for the condition of the home, I have receipts verifying professional cleanings both before and after the guest’s stay. Additionally, this property is in Florida and is regularly serviced by a licensed pest control company on a quarterly basis. Homeowners deserve better protections against guests who exploit the system. This experience has unfortunately made me more cautious in future bookings.

Has so much potential…

This was our family’s 3rd time staying here, but the first since it has changed owners. We still love 30A and this neighborhood. HOWEVER, the communication with the new owner is the worst I have ever experienced. When we arrived, we had some questions about things not working correctly with the property. I messaged the owner with no response, in addition to calling the phone number she included in the welcome email. She never answered or responded until the next day. I find this unacceptable. One of the things we found upon arrival was that the hot tub was not heated. We were never told that the hot tub would not be heated, and we were charged $225 during our stay for “spa/spa heat”. Once she finally responded, we requested that it be heated, and she said she would have someone come and heat it. They did come and fix the pool remote that wasn’t working, but the hot tub was never heated. The ice maker was not working, so after we went and got groceries and came back to the house, we had to go back out for a bag of ice. Small inconvenience, but this would have been a simple thing to include in the welcome email as an FYI. The outside landscaping is in rough shape. When we arrived, I spent a half hour pulling weeds from the pavers around the pool. Overall, we were just really disappointed in the lack of communication. I have requested a refund from Debbie for the spa heat and still have not received a reply from her. I would recommend this area, but sadly, we will not be back.

I responded within 24 hours to Brianna. The Pool company only works Monday to Friday so I could not get anyone to the house until Monday. I have confirmation that they fixed the remote (it is connected to wifi so if the wifi goes down the remote needs to be reset) and heated the spa while they were there. It has been so hot in 30A that previous guest had said the Pool and Spa were to hot. There is no way to win in this situation. This is the first I'm hearing about the ice maker usually this happens because they put the setting all the way up and its shuts down. This is the case with any Freezer. We strive to make every guest happy but not everything can get fixed immediately as this guest requesting . I'll happily refund you the pool/spa fee even though it was heated since Monday when the pool company turned it on.

Fantastic!!

Gorgeous and clean place! Beautifully decorated and SO CLOSE to the beach! The backyard oasis was the icing on the cake. Pool, spa, and ample seating areas. Highly recommended!! Hope to return someday.

Customer Is Always Right?

Cleaners reported “cat hair all over the property” so we were accused of breaking the no pet policy. We do not own a cat. We own a dog who was boarded at our vet’s office. I never leave reviews or write in the little book thingy, but our stay was so awesome, I wanted to leave a great review. To be accused of “disrespect” was like eating a great meal and finding a hair in the last bite. Advice, book here. It’s awesome, but take photos and video when you leave so you aren’t accused of something ridiculous.

Cozy Oasis

Such a lovely home…and a backyard oasis of my dreams! It has a cozy cottage feel with all the upgrades and beautiful decor. The location is incredible…just a five minute walk to the beach that was never crowded. And the backyard with pool, hot tub, and lounge areas is perfection. The only issue we ran into was that our teen was too big for the twin bunk bed…but found the king sized foldout couch to be extremely comfortable instead! I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great house for a single family.

Great beach location house with fantastic pool/hot tub. Not walking distance if you want to walk to towns to shop. Parents - please be aware that bunk bed mattresses are thicker than usual so bumpers on top are not functional. And head clearance on bottom beds is shorter than normal. Just something to consider if you have young children. Pool/hot tub area is wonderful.

Great stay at La Cabana

Very cute cottage and fantastic outdoor space! The heated pool and spa were perfect and the beach was an easy walk down the street. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

It was great

Wonderful location and the pool is amazing! The house is nicely appointed and clean. We spent a majority of our time outside on the deck, pool, and at the beach. The only recommendation I have would be a ramp from the deck for strollers. It was a bit of a pain lifting it up and down each time but no big deal. Would definitely stay there again.
