Patti, Thank you for your feedback. I’m pleased that you found the house to be roomy, comfortable and well-stocked with a great Mid-Century vibe. We strive to ensure all guests of The Gerda Haus have a positive experience. Regarding the other items you mentioned: Opened food items left in the fridge- I did apologize for this oversight and sent the housekeeper over right away to remedy the issue. Kitchen stove- The stove is an older model but fully functional. A picture of the stove was included in the photo collection (#19 of 42) at the time of your booking. This photo will remain on the listing, as we are confident that the aesthetics of the stove will not dissuade future bookings. No grill- A grill was not listed as one of the amenities at the time of your booking. Grass and weeds- You arrived after a week of constant rain and one day after Hurricane Fred went through the area. Unfortunately, were not able to tend to the yard before your check in due to everything being soaked. The mold on the hammock was a result of this as well. Adjacent property- How the neighbor chooses to maintain his property is beyond our control. We choose to focus on the beauty and tranquility of this area every time we leave and return to the house. Unfortunate location- The exact location of the house is available on the listing map prior to booking. We have not noticed a lot of road noise, nor has this been a complaint from any other guest. What you were hearing was most likely debris clearing trucks due to Hurricane Fred. As previously stated, we strive to ensure all guests of The Gerda Haus have a positive experience.
