Great stay for some days away

Came up to northern Michigan with my partner and their siblings. A very nice private spot simultaneously close to a lot to do but also nice an isolated to our liking. A great getaway!

Everything from reserving, communication and especially the property itself was excellent. We have stayed in many airbnbs and have always brought items such as toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, etc because there usually is not enough. Family Trip

Wonderful house in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for a large family. Comfortable, clean, and well supplied with everything we needed. Short drives will take you to Higgins Lake, restaurants, ice cream, and mini golf. Good location for day trips to Mackinac Island and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Check-in and check-out were super easy. Carsten and Molly were fabulous. Would stay again!

Very nice clean property

We came up to go ride side by sides. This place was very convenient. Upon entering, we found it extremely clean and well stocked with what we needed. The use of the garage was very beneficial! I would definitely stay here again! Thank you for the wonderful visit!

Higgins lake family adventure

This house was very nice and clean. Many extras in the house, very well furnished! Lost power for a little time and owners were texting me right away for assistance if necessary. Very close to my brother's house on Higgins Lake. We would definitely stay again!

Family vacation

This property fit our needs perfectly! We were close to trails and the beaches. The local restaurants were all very good. We went to Silver Dollar, Fred’s, Matt’s and Randy's. The beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed and more. Having two full baths was very helpful as well. There is a baby fawn and other deer that live in the woods by the house. We saw them several times. The owners quickly answered our questions and were very accommodating overall, We had a relaxing trip and a great experience.

We were fortunate enough to be hosted by Molly and Carsten at their incredible home, perfect for those with small children as there's plenty of space outside for playing. We all were so impressed with the home itself: everything felt new and clean and fresh - everything! The treed backyard offered sought after privacy while the home is still close to I-75, the beach, shopping and dining.It seems Carsten and Molly have thought of everything...from the family games in the garage to frosted pint glasses awaiting guests in the freezer to the plush bathroom towels. Would highly recommend as hosts are super responsive, the setting lovely and the home the perfect backdrop for making family memories.

Just Awesome!

This rental was perfect. The house was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable for four guys on a golf trip. The grill was clean, the water didn’t smell hard like other rentals, the beds were comfortable and clean, and there were plenty of cooking utensils and pots and pans to cook a meal. You can tell the owners take pride in their property because everything was labeled and well taken care of. I will definitely be staying there again.

Relaxing Week

Relaxing week with extended family. House was the perfect size for everyone. Road is extremely quiet, you are in a neighborhood but you don’t feel like it with the trees surrounding you and how quiet it is. The house was very clean and well stocked. Plenty of towels and TP for everyone which we all appreciated! Having the garage with another refrigerator was a huge plus! The boat ramp and beach are very close.

Lake vacay

Carsten & Molly were fabulous. Their house was only a mile away from North higgins and easy access to gas stations and local groceries. The place was clean and well put with tons of indications where things were located. Check in and out was quick and easy. They also had lots of lake activities and my family loved the corn hole in the garage. Will be looking forward to renting more next summer. Thanks!!!

Quiet country neighborhood and clean cozy home

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was immaculate. All the amenities were provided as stated. The bedrooms were nice sized and the beds were comfortable. The home is closer to Higgins than we thought and not as secluded as the pictures made it seem, but it was perfect for launching our boat at the North Higgins State Park. Even tho I'm not tech savvy, we were able to find free movies on Roku tv, but missed local channels. The host was wonderful and patient with our last minute booking. I would definitely recommend this vrbo

Well supplied house in a wooded neighborhood by the North State Park.

The house was fully stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation up north. It’s located near North State Park. This made launching the boat convenient and made it easy to walk, run, or bike to the new paved trail through the woods (a must do). Our group included several runners who especially enjoyed the trail. There are plenty of chairs for everyone, the grill worked great, and the bonfire area made for some cozy evenings. The beds were comfortable, and the space easily accommodated our group of six. there were tons of extra supplies for your convenience. We didn’t use most of them because we were out on the lake, but it probably has anything you can think of that would be needed for a week and or week away from home.

Mixed Family vacation

The house was great. 4 bedrooms worked especially well with a parent with kids in bunk room and king room. Weather was great so we were able to float the Manistee river. (Shel Haven tube/kayak rentals). Great trip. Had lunch on the river. Loved having the State park minutes away. Kids got to swim everyday. Hostess was extremely nice. Had a clitch with the oven but was able to make things workout. We had everything we needed. House was very clean. Thank you for opening your home to us it was a very relaxing vacation.

Perfect for larger group and meals

The house was well equipped to allow us to do much of the meals at the house. 2 refrigerators, one in garage, 6 seats at dining table, 2 grills on deck, equipped kitchen (just bring ziplocks, spices, cooking oil, serving spoons). The bedrooms were spacious and bedding was cozy. Large family room and garage. Owners were very kind and quick to respond to anything. Communication superb. Good location close to town with Higgins lake , ausable River, Houghton lake. Mackinac Island was only an hour and a half North. Good trails for bikes. In a quiet and friendly neighborhood. Lots of on site parking. Will be booking this one again.
