The photos don't do this property justice - it was quite lovely and surpassed our expectations aesthetically. Very large beach front. Neat loft-style spaces and common areas on both levels for gathering. Between the indoor areas, the fenced-in backyard, the deck seating area, sandy fire pit area, to the beach itself, there are tons of places to have summer fun and spread out. The space worked well for our multi-family group that ranged in age from 5 to 84. Having grown up vacationing on Lake Huron I anticipated that in extreme heat any lake house in the area with limited AC could potentially have some temperature control issues, but overall with ample fans and lake breeze that can be combatted and wouldn't be an issue at all during summer weeks where the temperature remains in the 80s I imagine. I was also happy that the property had municipal water as just a few miles north vacationed regularly on lakeside properties that were on well water which isn't my preference.

I will start with the positives. The property offers amazing views and seclusion. The indoor and outdoor spaces are spacious allowing everyone to gather or take some quiet time. It is close to amenities in town. The downside was is was not clean upon arrival. We ended up having to wash sheets and clean floors, bathrooms and kitchen after driving 13 hours. I notified the host and he tried to blame us at first. I sent him pictures of the property as we found it and a before and after of the kitchen sink. He later accommodated us and said he has hired new cleaners. I hope so for the next guests.

Great home for great times on the lake

Our large family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lake house on Lake Huron. We had perfect weather to enjoy the sandy beach, and the house worked great for our large extended family.

Thanks for your review. We agree that there are still upgrades needed for the house. Since buying in December 2020, we have replaced all matresses in the bedrooms, replaced the dishwasher and main refrigerator in the kitchen, added a second refrigerator on the main level and a dorm refrigerator on the second level. Our plan this winter is to renovate the bathrooms on the main level. We're sorry the kitchen sink had a leak issue during your stay and we have replaced the faucet to address this.

Location was perfect. Private, on the beach. Plenty of room to roam, inside and out. The laundry was clean but piled high unfolded in the laundry room. Some construction ongoing. That stuff is minor and I would recommend this place to anyone. Great golf nearby at Lakewood Shores.

Lake Huron Beauty

We had a great time in a beautiful home. We did a variety of activities, both inside and outside. Also visits into Tawas were great. Super location, sand, and Lake Huron. We have already made reservations for a return.

Large family FUN

We have a large family with 10 adults and 12 grand kids. This place was ideal with all the space! And right on Lake Huron. We did not have ideal weather but the kids swam anyway! The only time we left the house was for grocery store runs! A wonderful vacation for all of us.

Couldn't have been more perfect!

Plenty of room for all 12 of us adults and my 1 year old Granddaughter. The house was one of the cleanest I've stayed in and so many things to do. Extremely stocked kitchen and no fighting over bathrooms with 4 to share. We were all so happy that we are going to book again for sure. Not to mention the sunrise view on Lake Huron right out of the door was amazing!

Our vacation

The property was clean and spacious. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials such as utensils, pots and pans, and other. The beach is right behind the house and easy to access. There were plenty of towels to use. The beds were all made and clean. We loved the property overall and would definitely visit again.

Lake Huron Family Getaway

Our family had a great time enjoying the sandy beach on Lake Huron. The house is a great size for our extended family of 14, with a large dining space where we could all eat together. The kids loved the beach, kayaks, and paddle board. The house is clean and has had some really nice upgrades over the past year. The host is easy to communicate with and always responds in a timely manner. We will definitely be going back.

Great experience

We enjoyed our stay very much. We have a large family with 10 adults and 7 children. Several spots to gather giving everyone an opportunity to relax in their own space. Plenty of room indoors for all. Large sandy beach. Pictures don’t do it justice. We will be back.

Wonderful vacation spot!

This is an exquisite place. The beach is pristine - fine white sand and lots of privacy. The house is so comfortable. The kitchen is really well-stocked, and the two of the living rooms face the lake for watching the sun rise. We loved sitting on the deck and admiring the rose garden and Lake Huron. The owner responded very quickly when we needed a few little things. All in all, it is a splendid location. My family is already clamoring to schedule the place for next summer.

I have been coming to this area since 1964 when my parents first brought our family to visit. They built a cottage in 1966 that is 8 houses south of our property. I have spent time here each summer and some winters since. It's my favorite place on earth.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

When we first started to look for our own property, we had very few requirements in mind; at least 3 bedrooms, privacy from the highway and a sandy beach (no barrier walls for us). It just so happened that we found everything we wanted very close to my family cottage.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Our property has a private drive off the highway that's heavily wooded that creates a private and serene setting (except during a nor'easter). Plenty of onsite parking. Our beach is ours, you'll only see nearby residents and a few walkers. There's spacious outdoor deck for lounging and dining, a fire ring with wood supplied on the beach, plus 4 kayaks, paddles, life jackets and floats.
